OTA’s are officially beginning today for the Cleveland Browns and like all offseason practice periods, there are a few different things for fans to keep an eye on.
Yesterday the Browns were able to lure front office executive Chris Polian away from the Washington Commanders, and today they begin practicing for the first time as a team in the 2024 offseason.
Though there are quite a few things to watch in this week’s OTA period, three specific areas stand out.
Deshaun Watson’s activity level
Watson has been doing a great job with his shoulder rehab, and OTA’s will most likely be the first time he’ll be throwing in public. It’s worth noting how much he throws in terms of overall volume over the next 10 days.
It’ll be interesting to see if the team works him in slowly, or if he comes out “hot” and firing on all cylinders. If he looks fairly good and can handle a decent workload throughout OTA’s then that should bode well for his overall outlook for training camp.
