Deshaun Watson is only 28yrs old. Which means about 30/31 when his contract is up. If he plays good to well for the rest on his contract he will get an opportunity to sign a new one most likely for another $200 million plus. Maybe not fully guaranteed but most likely over $200 million given the current market. With his past he's not getting some network job after retirement so he needs another contract as seed money for his future plus who would want to pass up the opportunity to make another $200 million playing football? This can all happen if he's just a B+ quarterback.

Dak finished 2nd in mvp voting this year. And has looked like a top 10 qb over the last 4 years, and won playoff games in that time. Meanwhile Deshaun ranks 38th in qbr since 2021, and looks aweful on the field and on the stat sheet. Deshaun definitely is under more pressure he needs to prove he can just be a top 25 qb still.

n they forgetting Watson was 6-1 as the starter last season n had just beaten ravens in his last game where he went 14 of 14 in 2nd half. Browns were 6-3 at that point. I aint a fan of him but I was seeing him finally getting back to rhythm n then he got injured again. I just hope the dude can play the entire season without a injury for a start now.

He also threw twice as many tds as deshaun and did it in less games. Watson threw 7 tds and had 6 turnovers last year, flacco threw 13 tds and 9 turnovers. I'd take flacco numbers any day and twice on Sundays. There is a reason flacco won cpoy. And led the browns in qbr, pass rating, pff grade, yards, and tds

They act like deshaun was god awful, the dude had one bad game this past season. That was against the Steelers, he only played 5 full games and played good in 4 of them. He was also one of the only QBs to outplay Lamar in Baltimore as well.

@@KahnHilingus flacco only threw 2 ints in the Houston game, don't try to lie to make flacco look bad. Flacco had a better qbr, and passer rating than watson too. Flacco also had more yards and twice as many tds as watson in less starts too. Flacco won comeback player of the year too. And watson ranks 38th in qbr since becoming a brown. ALL watsons individual passing stats rank him at the bottom of the nfl. He has been trash. Worse than trash honestly.

The teams record is a team stat, browns had the top ranked defense last year. Deshaun ranked 38th in qbr. He was not the reason the browns were winning any games. The browns also won 7 of those 11 games without watson playing. (And also that indy game deshaun gets credit for the win but he went 1 for 5 passing with a int no scores.)

Did ANY of you watch the last game Watson played? He played an amazing second half, during which he completed every pass attempt and led a 4th quarter comeback victory in Baltimore. From the Titans game on, the level of play was trending up. He started with a few atrocious games, which are statistical outliers in a small sample size, so in this case statistics offer nothing. He played well before he got hurt. It did happen. You are all bad at your jobs. You COULD have mentioned that coming off shoulder surgery raises doubts/questions which are yet to be answered, and that would have been a valid point, but you chose the lazy, ignorant route. I get it, there are 32 teams thats a lot of games to watch each week, if you're not a Cleveland fan why would you watch Browns games. And obviously NONE of you did.

once again, when Watson led the league in passing his team was 4-12 and that was after 13-3 and 12-4 seasons. So far it takes him 4-5 seconds to make a decision. Count it, 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004 80% of the time he still has the ball.

The playoffs is Dallas’s Kryptonite. Every year they make it there’s a glaring hole on the team. Last year it was the run defense and the fact the offense couldn’t keep opposing defenses honest because they knew all Dallas could do was pass.
