How interchangeable are Audi Parts across all models & years??

If I were you I would make sure I did the following : 1. Check the part #'s to see if they match up (at least the same, until the last character (s), which may vary but it just usually means a newer revision of the original part) 2. Check the physical size of each diff, compare the sizes and angles and where the bolting holes are (make sure there's enough space to not get in the way of other parts) 3. Check the frame bolt holes on each of the undercarriages of the B6 & B7 Audi platforms to see if it's a perfect bolt on 4. Check the driveshafts on each platform 5. Check the diff ratios as it may vary especially if it's a different gen, even A4 & S4 diffs ratios may vary 6. Check to see if you have the normal quattro system in your B6 or if you have the sporty quattro version system 7. Check to see if wires/cables plug & fit into the diff if it does need the ECU of the car to communicate with the quattro system modules I would do all of that research before buying it. And it ever has the same part # then you're off to aa good start, but that always doesn't necessarily mean it will work, bolt on, or communicate. Yea I'm going to use all the B9 parts 1st meaning the whole undercarriage rear end since it should theoretically bolt on then go to the junkyard & pull the rest of the quattro B8.5 parts. I've already done years of research on this, I basically already have everything I need for now. Plus I've made lots of documentations with this build like over 20 pages of research & such.

Technically yes, because if the amount of money & skills needed to complete it, is indeed possible. Will it be easy, no. Will it be a long project, yes. In my opinion it's not worth the trouble converting a B8.5 A4 chassis into a B7 wagon front end.

With money, skills and time anything is possible. Otherwise, a D2 or D3 S8 chassis is all that may work for you. The A8 from that gernaration doesn't share that many parts with other models

If you are refering to the B8/B8.5 S-line seats fitting on a B8/B8.5 then 100% yes since I can confirm it with my red & black B8 S4 S-Line Sport seats on my B8.5 A4
