How is a 2018 engine inside a 2013 a4 paired to a 2014 S4 DSG transmission paired to the rs5 quattro system not impressive while running on limp mode?????? This was a cvt front wheel drive, ingenuity to get this to work with factory parts. You shouldn't make such comments since you don't know the back story to this project.
@@aminkhan1292 The instrument cluster was lit up like christmas, the car is driving with a safe mode on😅. 95% of the lights have been fixed. I just have 2 lights, power steering is once shorted out again and replace my shorted e brake module which is causing the transmission module to freak out

yes im weearded that I spent $100,000 on this car but hey at least I got a 1983 Audi UrQuattro that I'm about to drop $20k on a new paint job and bodywork restoration :)
Hey The background lighting does it only work on constant ignition? Or could it be coded so that the footwell light only comes on when the dimmer is on
In my opinion, this feature has not worked for me. So I would assume this would be functioning for model with a Prestige Package and not a Premium package
Great work here wow! I am in the process of needing to replace my 8HP55 code QCT tranny in my 2015 A4 quattro. couple of shops i asked are grumbling about not being able to make the swap and needing Audi dealer because of serial number programming. Have you seen programming issues as well?
Thanks! So this is not easy. The shop would need a dealer tool called ODIS along with a yearly $4k+ online subscription to allow online coding of the transmission. Or they rent an ebay odis online account for 24 hours & then reprogram your vin to the transmission. either way this will cost north of $2,000 just to do this. I paid $3k for mine, so it costs $3k for my transmission replacement and then it costed me another $3k to reprogram. It will vary and be cheaper for you since I would asssume your car is not a project car like mine
The transmission broke it's transaxle, swapped out the transmission. I haven't put the back together because I'm operating a big business and I've been busy. Results wil be posted end of summer!
Give me 2 more months lol. I've been in ths process of moving my business to another warehouse. While in the meantime, I sent my car out to a shop to fix all the software codings and updates. I'm also dealing with personal stuff in my life. More updates will be posted by mid summer!!

Hey, thanks for watching the video! Since my car is a project, things got posted online differently. You can watch this video I made, which includes removing the center console. Hi. I install 02 led ds3 headlights on my Q5 2011. They work for few minutes and after they stop. Really i dont know what is the problem. I do a scan with OBD eleven. It show me the default 00978 and 00979. When i put the old xenon they work. Pls help how to fix the problem
Hey if the D3S ballasts are a lower tier aftermarket brand then that can cause the problem. There's plenty of high quality aftermarket brands that don't throw an error light. (Speaking from experience), if not that then it could be a faulty pair that might need to be returned
The immobilizer system has two parts, it's built/coded on a chip on the ECU and it tells the instrument cluster to find it in order for ghr car to start. In my case, i bypassed it with the help of a tuner person. Now my instrument cluster reads no immobilizer, so it'll allow the car to start
This hurts.. 100K USD... an RS4 B8 and even a B9 can be bought second hand with around 50k miles for 57.000 USD in Europe... imagine what you could have done to it with the remaining 40K. Service, straight pipe, engine tune, change a few internals... holy crap. Love the B8 but this is nuts. Idk.. maybe I'd do the same if my parents were somewhat middle class/upper middleclass when I was at a young age and there was money flowing for such things.
Life is too short to not accomplish big things lol, so I did what I told my younger self that I would do. I did it for myself even when so many people have doubted me. And When something like this is accomplished Anything else is possible Meaning I'm gonna buy a nice property down here soon At the age of 27. I played my cards very differently, I could have had a house by the age of 23.

Hate my Audi! 2015 q5 is super annoying , every thing that should be easy to DIY but noooo! Over engineering can be a good thing but not in this case! Just overly complicated for zero reason makes it super $$$$$ to fix. Audis are good but not good enough for all the hassle ! Toyota is 100% better and hold their value
The gps, camera and mic found in the audi only works with the original Audi infotainment system. It will not cross over to the aftermarket unit that attaches as an adapter to the radio unit. This means the aftermarket gps, aftermarket backup camera (if installed on a car that did not have the rear view camera from factory) and the aftermarket microphone has a purpose, and it's to work on the aftermarket radio adapter. The omly way to get the original audi mic, gps and camera is to actually replace the radio unit or screen or find another company that supports the features you are looking for.
Can you pls make a vid of what you had to do to fit the DSG gearbox into your car. I have the CVT and really want to swop it with a DSG too. Engine mounts, gearbox mounts, adapter plates, software coding. Please. Thanks

They make plastic pry tools and they cost like $10. Splurge and pick some up so you don't expose bare metal doing this which will eventually corrode and rust.
No, it contributes to less lag as it replaces the weaker and failure prone valving. The GFB DV+ is a great option, as it replaces the piston with a much more durable design while using the same sensor/solenoid.
B8.5 is essentially the facelift of a B8, meaning headlights, front amd rear ends, newer interior modules etc. B8.5 is basically all newer looks, better modules compared to a B8. You should see my 2013 A4 with a 2018 A4 engine with a 2014 S4 DSG transmisson video, it's just to open your eyes to a new point of view
Trust me I know. I work for Audi and drive a 15 S4. The MMI format is different in a B8 and a B8.5 - solid tip on the stopping the open door beeps tho@@MotorHeadTech
What do you think I should be expecting? because this is a project car that's in limp mode with a full stray Pipe exhaust system with no tune meaning stock top speed of 130

I think it’s impressive what you have accomplished, but posting a video of your car with enough lights to light up manhattan and beating on the car just to get it to 125mph in limp mode isn’t impressing anyone. I hope you manage to get all the issues sorted as I’d love the see the car driving under its own power without warnings flashing up constantly.
Sounds good, but It's all software incompatible versions. The car is mechanically and virtually safe and reliable. There's just limitations. Added over 500 miles on it since October :) Hence the entire car needs software updates
