That '91 Hawkeye team that went to Columbus and won was arguably Hayden's best team. I think they were better than the 3 Rose Bowl teams he had. Only 1 loss that year to Michigan after they had a double-digit first-half lead. The defense ranked up there with Phil Parker's best. They had the best pass rush of any Iowa team I've seen. 60 something sacks that year I think. Got locked into playing BYU in the Holiday Bowl instead of New Years Day. Second place B10 team was required to go.

It will be illuminated in this game just how bad of a Big 10 Caliber QB Cade is as a passer. There is no way Tim Lester wants this guy to be his starting QB. The Swarm's 1.4 million they are paying him and KF are obviously forcing this down Lester's throat. You say the TE's need a combined 12 catches for 120 yards or so? There is no freaking way Ohio State is just going to let Lachey run around open. I think it is more realistic for one of the other TEs to have a big game and use Lachey as a decoy. I ask myself, if running 3 TE sets like they did in 2013, and running the ball in heavy sets isn't the way to "maybe" give Iowa a shot in this one? I mean, it isn't like we are going to be able to throw outside the numbers or downfield to the WR's anyhow with this QB's rag arm. I know you can't say that because you are a pro-Iowa Channel, Trent, but you know it is true. You don't go on the road and beat an Ohio State team of this caliber with a QB who has a noodle arm. So I say just go with heavy sets and try to run it down their throat with the occasional play action. We are going to have to win this in the box and win the turnover battle by 2+ to have a chance. Either way, Iowa is better off with Sullivan as the QB. There is no way that dude is THAT BAD of a passer (I have seen plenty of highlights of him at NW and he looks very good throwing on the move both short and downfield, which Cade does not). And he would relieve so much pressure off the RB's on that zone read as a running threat himself. Prediction : 34-10, Ohio State. Anyhow, Go Hawks!

@@hawkeyegeorge I doubt it. Even if Cade lays an egg he will start versus Washington in game 6. Sullivan's ceiling is much higher.

I don't get the disrespect for Will Howard. I think he is really good. We'd kill here at Iowa for a QB that good. He is a better version of Nate Stanley.

I don’t think there is disrespect to Howard. He is really good, it’s just to comparison to the rest of Ohio State players being THAT elite. Howard is a really good QB and no Iowa fan disrespects his skill.

Will Howard is not as mobile as other OSU QBs of the past. Iowas LBs are better than OSUs. Let OSU load the box, maybe Iowa can sneak one over the top to Seth, or Kaleb Brown. Hope Wetjen has a punt or kick off for a score.
