He's getting the ultimate fan experience!!! Gets to travel with the team, attend practices, world renown medical doctors and front row seats to every game!
@@BullsCentral felicio is a good player when he has a good facilitator like Rondo..and he earns his contract. He lost his game when Rondo sign to other team.. (Bulls didnt pick up Rondo's contract.) Now most of this people who misjudge this guy, i dont think any of you here is much better experience in playing basketball like Felicio.. nor most of the guys here is a keyboard warrior.. Its not his fault...
@@juanitevez843 yeah if a player (especially forward) is good only around his outstanding PG and dissapears without him, that only means his PG dished out to him making him look good, not that he was actually good. People say that about EEEEEVVVRRRYYY SIIINNGLEE CENTREEE whos a benchwarmer who gets to play due to starting centres injury and plays alongside a great PG... the PG makes the benchwarmer look like a starter and people always question if the injured starting centre should come back. EVERY TIIIIMEEE For gods sake, i remember People making Marcin Gortat a superstar after few good games with STEVE NASH AS PG, like they forgot its STEVE NASH... and he makes everyone look great.
I'm brazilian and actually played with him in a training camp while he was still on Flamengo (Professional team here in Brazil) and he's just too much of a nice guy,he plays nice enough to be a nba player a deep bench one tho,but he dont deserve his contract, but still he's one of the nicest guy i met
He deserves it because they gave it to him.., there's probably 100 players in the NBA that we can say don't deserve 8mil a year to be a practice player but hey, they r getting it and we r talking about it.
Victor u really sound like u r jealous of your countrymen"especially u said u actually played with him meaning u no him personally,I will be willing to bet $1000 u want tell him to his face that he doesn't deserve the contract.so y come in bulls central and say it.bulls central had no ties to him so I get it, its his Chanel, but u I don't get.stop hateing!!!!
And I feel like he barely made him look decent. I feel people just watch highlights of him catching oops and think he’s usable. Real fans know you could probably make a lowlight video just as long as his highlights. Not everyone is cut to play in the league.
flockaveli15 just like westbrook makes steven adams or gafford look like all stars and lebron made thompson and mozgov look really good and tricked teams like the lakers a few years ago into thinking they’re good and offering them large contracts, rondo really helped felicio. i’m not saying that’s the only reason he looked good but it was a big factor why he got paid so much that season
@@drose1655 oh no I’m not disagreeing with you necessarily just with the overall thought from the FO or anyone agreeing with their decision to pay him based off the few oops from rondo while ignoring the other dropped passes that happened way more frequently. Difference with everyone you named was they are individually all god even without that specific god next to them. Felicio was only “good “ because rondo is a top 5 prototype playmaker who hunts assist. Rondo and guards like him make anyone look good if that’s the bar we set. Like I understand felicio is a good guy off the court but nobody talks about him personally just that on the court he’s never been close to being good enough to justify his contract before he got it. So it’s confusing why garpax gave it to him but were Ready to give up on someone like McDermott who easily is better than Felicio.
I was thinking about that as well. I like doing it because some of the histroy tidbits I didn't even know about and I like learning about their backgrounds
Imagine Being Felicio and the top search result when you search your name is this... This Professional Basketball player is not as bad as folks assume. The internet can be very messed up I guess.
Well, as a brazilian myself, I am happy for him. He worked very hard to get there and then, when he got that bag of money... he decided it was good enough. But I blame him for not giving it all for the team. He got the contract and showed up very out of shape for the next season and it was all downhill from there. He´s living the dream! Playing for the legendary Chicago Bulls and getting a lot of money for it. He´s was a beast when he played for Flamengo and I wonder where did that guy go...
som infos on Luciofrom Germany where he^s playing right now. he^s kinda slow but still a good blocker and rebounder and seems to be well spected as a very liked teammate who's giving a helping hand to the young prospects looking up to him as a former Chicago Bull and international for Brazil. even some information about his itime in Chicago surfaced that Lavine was praising him highly as an important teammate and a positive factor for the locker room chemistry. sure that's not worth 30 million USD but it seems that his value for the Bullsi is a bit underrated by the Bulls fanbase. es he's not a NBA starter for sure but in his prime he was good enough for an NBA 15 men roster spot
Nice to hear his story and see his highlights. I hope he finishes his basketball career somewhere he can be a rotational player again. Seems like a really kind human.
Everyone forgets he was a 12th man for some years, very raw at the time. People called for him to get playing time and had a decent 1-2 years when Butler was still here. At the time it seemed as if he was just scratching the surface. The bulls gave him the contract. Then butler got traded, he never developed any further, the NBA went all stetch 4s/5s and got left behind. What he can do as player isn't considered good anymore and isn't utilized that way anyways.
i sometimes feel like felicio actually has some potential to like play decent but he just doesn’t seem engaged or tries and his confidence prolly isn’t even there anymore like imagine if he actually tried and shows effort
Yeah, that's the thing. I feel like he could be better but of course his confidence is completely shot with the amount of trolling he gets from fans and the media
@@BullsCentral fr like last year and the 18-19 season when he would get more minutes he would play okay not the best but okay and if only he would get in shape and continued to practice he could’ve stepped up his game i remember stacy said something like that before
the problem with bulls is that they don't give them enough playing time to show what they've got and develop. Mokoka, Green, Dotson, TBJ. Gafford is playing fine now in wizards and at 10th seed in east. bulls season are done.
It’s complicated to go hard on young players, especially the ones playing overseas (even though he deserved some critic). Dude was just the rebound leader on German league.
Felicio actually has handles like kyrie and court vision like Chris Paul. Unfortunately during a pickup game in Brazil when he was a teenager, he crossed a kid up bad, to the point where that is still in a wheelchair today. Then a teammate windmilled a dunk off a no look lob from felicio on the kids brother, who hit his head and was in a coma for a month before they pulled the plug. Felicio vowed to never use those skills again after what happened to those kids. Poor guy
That contract, even at the time was absolutely insane. Even if the front office wanted to lock him up for longer, they could have given him a 3 year/15M deal with team options along the way and still no one would have matched that. That said, I don't think Felicio is that bad of a player. I honestly believe I have seen a lot worse playing in both the NBA and the Bulls. It is like NBA personal is blind to big guys. They see a big guy and they get hooked. When Felicio joined the Bulls he showed good rebounding skills and a solid interior presence. No one thought that they were in the presence of the next Shaq, but he could as well be a solid back up Center for years to come. But then 3 things changed: 1 - The Bulls entered rebuild mode with a new head coach that wanted to implement a system that didn't fit his skillset; 2 - The Bulls front office made some decisions so appalling that dramatically hurt the development of all its players (what would be Lauri today had he had a different coaching staff and a different back office); 3 - The NBA changed into their 3 point mode. All of the sudden, Felicio was already on bad contract, wasn't developing and the new NBA requirement was that every player was able to shoot a 3. Felicio will leave the NBA by the end of the year and will join some European team and probably have a solid career in Europe. I am sad that he never got to be the solid role player he could have been (an Omer Asik type player in the D-Rose lead Bulls) and that he couldn't help on a successful Bulls team. I guess part of it was partially his fault (for not working in his game hard enough), but no one in those circumstances would been able to do better in these Chicago Bulls. That is why that probably the only two players they will keep from GarPax era will be LaVine and Coby.
I have 3 theories why he’s in the NBA fan base in Brazil because Chicago is a Big market and he Probably remembers practice plays and knows were to be on the court in practice or he’s blackmailing someone on the Bulls
He's averaging decent numbers for Spanish team Granada, so he's doing alright as a pro, I'd say. I feel like he made the most of the situation given his limited ceiling. I'd've liked to see him grow and do more, but his skill set was always better suited to the European game, where his strength inside isn't dragged down by his slow foot speed on perimeter coverage too much.
😂 I could never figure out this move for the longest time. He doesn’t give the Bulls anything on the court but off the court I heard he is great in the locker room and is great with the media. But a high price to pay a player to do just that.
I really think tho if valentine and Felicio was on a different team they would be much better...I think the previous coach and front office really stunted these guys growth.. Jim didn’t play valentine because valentine said something he thought was disrespectful and told him he was staying on the bench
You're not alone on believing the hype on Felicio in the beginning. My best friend and I both were like "this kid is pretty decent". He was blocking shots and getting alot of put backs early on. I like hearing his back story and it's kinda changed my views on him. He still sucks but I respect him more now😆. I always thought he seems like a good guy.
0:30 Finally. Been waiting on this vid. Edit: Damn. Now I feel bad for the guy. Wish the best for him and his fam. After this season is over he could probably try playing in Europe. Like Portugal or something.
Yeah its not about what you deserve but what you can negotiate for... I never expected him to be a star player but lack of a legit developmental staff helped in his demise on the squad so I don't blame him it was on the management
Felicio was a useful player for Thibs but not Hoiberg. I think Gar/Pax wanted to pump Felicio and then flip him like they did with Jabari but it didn't work out at all.
Would be incredible. I obviously would love it if they got lucky and got a top 4 pick, but always prefer to see my team in the playoffs than in the lottery
Bulls's squad isn't good. Felicio is not the worst player. He has strength and good pace, can shoot from miedle distance, dunks very well. He deserves some minutes to show something. Bulls has only two really extraclass players, Felicio is overall as the team's other players. Portis was not a great player for the bulls but played better for the Bucks, for example.
