Bro has 10 billion+ streams on a single platform, and what's even crazier is the fact that about 60% or more of those came out at least a decade before streaming was even an option and the latter 40% came out when he was supposedly "not the same Shady", meaning his albums that were a decade or more old had to compete with rappers like Drake and Cole during their peaks and yet, he still held his own and remained consistent... Simply the GOAT. ❤ from West Africa 🇬🇭
Bro we stream all his albums to this day allover Asia!! Not big mouth or a stan but his contributions to HipHop is undeniable! I wouldnt have started rapping if it wasnt for him!
his albums that came later when streaming was popular were when he wasn't nowhere near as big as he was in his tes/marshall mathers days and they were still able to compete with people like Drake
Since 2001 eminem is the only rap artist to have a best selling album twice in the last 22 years. 2002 was the eminem show at 13.6 million and 2010 was Recovery at 5.7. I. That same time frame not a single rapper is listed. Usher is the closest one to the genre. That means in the last 2 decades no Rap artist has had a best selling album besides Em.
Also, when Em was at his so called biggest a lot of people were ripping his music for free. P2P file sharing was introduced to the general public in 1999. when Eminem released the SSLP, MMLP, TES. How many people ripped his music without buying it when he was one of the biggest artists in the world at the time.
I bought 3 of them, they get stolen so quickly. Didn't buy any album as often as the slim shady LP, 5 times and since then I haven't lent a single CD to anyone anymore.
What's dope about this is that Eminem is older than all those guys which is 🔥. It doesn't matter how old you are, make great music and connect with people and you will go places.
Or maybe they bow to God not Eminem. Or maybe they’re not sheep following the crowd and have their own mind, their own path they wish to walk, maybe they just don’t care about it and live a different life. Or maybe they see they decided to hate because people get butt hurt real easy and it’s funny.
@@peak.brainrot I don’t know how you hear a written sentence, but hey, you think you’re smart. Plus your country did elect Biden so say no more. Maybe you’re not smart enough to understand normal speech, because you elect people like Biden.
@@vlhhill659you're literally watching a video of a black guy talking about the same thing , he literally loves Eminem , you're just angry because a black guy isn't the biggest rapper and that just shows you're a racist with a victims mentality
@@vlhhill659you can look at his statistics online he's not just the biggest streamed artist in America , he's one of the biggest ever streamed in the entirety of Asia , he's one of the biggest in Mexico and France and Chile and Brazil , like you're literally just a victim , sorry Travis Scott isn't better than eminem
@@adilson_Rodriguesyes GOAT of streaming clearly, as well as the entire Rap/Hip Hop genre. And I don't even like who he is as a person lol. But nobody living or dead can, has, or perhaps will...do what he's done lyrically
@@ericbelander2319Based on what criteria? Brand recognition? Em all the way. Streams? Em all the way again. Platinum and diamond records? Once again, Em all the way. Impact on rap? Definitely Em, as was one of the biggest reasons why rap became a world wide genre and not a local hood type of a thing.
Em reaches a wider audience. He has struggled (and STILL struggles) with being discriminated against because of his race, and so he makes most of his songs without racial references. I’m brown, and I still fw him. Plus, I can sing his songs freely on the streets and at the worst, people will be appalled. If I were to sing other rapper’s songs (which usually contain the N-word), I risk getting beaten up.
Here is some more interesting eminem facts. Recovery is the only rap album from the 2010s decades to selling over 20 million units globally, making the top selling rap of that decade From 2009 to 2023, The Marshall Mathers LP 2 have the biggest global first-week sales of any rap album, selling 1,221,000 pure copies.
Great name RationalMinded! But, are you aware that Em is white and in the "wrong" genre? SARCASM! At this point, the overwhelming majority of "hate" is simply jealousy, since he got a lot less controversial lyrically.
@@RationalMinded Glad you used prejudice instead of rac!st... seems most can't tell the difference. My main argument against the "stay out of my culture" group is that Alice In Chains is one of my favorite groups, after Layne died, they got a Black singer... dude can belt, his "race" never mattered to me. I was just happy they managed to find someone that could ALMOST fill Layne's shoes (nobody can). I think Slash from Guns and Roses is half Black, don't care, he's a sick guitarist.
Dammm thats crazy , Em is pulling those high numbers not just here in the US but worldwide in 90+ countries I read that Em music also gets streamed on ( Anghami MENA streaming service ) too , that alot of listeners use in other countries to listen to Em music , so whoever said that nobody listens to eminem they themselves must've never been outside the US before cause Em music gets played globally and theres a list of countries online to prove it along with whatever streaming service they use to listen to his music Eminem and Drake are the most streamed artists in the Anghami streaming service
@@Python-xs2ivwell they are relevant because Eminem music gets played is in those streaming services , cause there's countries that don't use the same streaming services that we have in the US
Because he related to lots of cultures! Even most black communities, it’s the hate from the ones he has over taken. He is an icon in the rap game and has been for a very long time. And to still be able to do it, says a lot about him and not really changing his game up to do it.
@@malcolmadair8373 His backstory can definitely relate to people in the black community. No father, crappy mom, being in an extremely toxic relationship, thinking rap is the only way out of the hood.
@@CrazyNikel nah cmon now. Are we calling trolls everyone who doesn't like some of his albums? For the record i love his first three albums and Relapse
That’s a fact!! All them years with his best albums and you couldn’t even stream!! And you couldn’t just put it on when ever you wanted to. You had to put the c.d in and that doesn’t count. his numbers would be way larger!!!! Dudes unbelievable!!
@@semiuusman7272 Don’t put him onto NF bruh Devlin is the second best white rapper! Tales Of The Crypt (2006) & The Art Of Rolling (2008) & Bud, Sweat & Beers (2010)
@@bretwojarski5842 NF and Eminem are my favourite rappers infact to an extent I prefer NF more than even Eminem. So I think he will definitely like NF musics as well.
Eminem is doing this because he is the most relatable. Real recognize real. There are a lot of real mfers in the world, but stay out the way because not everyone would be able to deal with the heat Eminem gets without getting in their emotions. Em definitely learned some shit about his surroundings when he was getting sober.
