Definitely a rough matchup for the kentaurosmon. I think it wasn’t quite highlighted just how much the dp protection helps the dorugoramon in these games since the new kentauros gives -7k dp on attack, the inheritables usually do -2k each, and odins breath does -3k. Against most decks the wide spread dp reduction does a lot, but against black decks with dp reduction prevention it’s definitely very rough.
It would be interesting to see black decks reduce the amount of DP reduction rather than prevent it completely. It would mean a heavy investment of resources to actually get rid of something from the field maybe 🤔
With the new support from BT 16 and BT 17, the Dorugoramon deck has gotten far stronger and is my go to deck. Come August I will be purchasing two copies of the new Dexdorugoramon. I already gave a list going that focused more on the mass removal and neat combos.

@4:41 the Kent player hits a DexDorugora in security and DOESN'T have jamming, so it should be deleted, but leaves them on the field and then digivolves them. edit: nvm, Kyaro can give Jamming to any target, not just the stack. We're gouda. Great stuff! If it weren't for the DEX pricepoint, I would absolutely hop on the Dorugora train. Also, 11/10 editing.
That’s my bad actually Kyaromon let’s you choose a digimon to get jamming, I went back into the recording and can confirm it was given to the Reppamon I just missed it during the voice over 😅 Thanks for pointing that out though! That’s definitely crucial information 😁 Yeah I’m so glad death X isn’t meta anymore, maybe they’ll print a new version that works with this deck and not any deck that wants to have wide removal lol 😂
Wouldn't Odins Breath dp reduction still take place @ 02:00 because it's live until the end of opponents' turn? I know it wouldn't take place the turn it was played, but once turn passes and dorugreymon dp protection expires, odins dp reduction should then take effect, no?
That's a good question actually. I think because the effect isn't a latent board effect it might not work that way. To my understanding you're targeting a digimon and saying it will get -3000 until the end of the next turn but it can't have its DP reduced so even when the turn rolls over it neve had its DP reduced for the effect to persist. But if the effect read like Shinegreymon ruin mode where it says "Until the end of your opponents turn, your opponents digimon gets -5000 DP" then it could rollover like that. Definitely tricky and I could be wrong but I think that makes the most sense to me :)
@@TheSqueakyMooseThe Judges on Digimon said that even if theres an effect that prevents DP- it would still apply, so when the protection is over, it kicks off, so the Dorugora would have less DP in his turn
DexDorugoramon is super ocol, but it's hard to justify swapping my Alphamon deck over to it. I actually kind of like DexDorugoramon a bit more in terms of aesthetic, I love my edgy mons, but I don't feel like it has anywhere near the punch that Alphamon does.
I think you're right honestly but I think that's mainly because Oryuken is so strong! If there was a new death x that only worked for DexDorugoramon it could definitely be competitive 😁

@@TheSqueakyMoose it really did mega is kentarausmon however others are like your usual rapidmon, yellow hybrid line, lopmon warp lvl5 i forgot the name and the yellow tamer it was weirdly good plus when he swing it was otk right away
