The fact both Blue Blood and Cadence were referred to as "nephew" and "niece," respectively, to Celestia would make one think they were Luna's even if she'd been exiled to the moon for a thousand years. The idea of an unknown third sibling makes sense when neither Luna or Celestia are known to have a relationship prior to becoming the rulers of Equestria
The comics are the same way sometimes I view make your mark as B Canon along side all Gen 5 content. The Alicorn home land briefly mentioned in the journal of the sisters which is canon to me so Oplines story matches up with that book.
I thought Princess_Celestia had only Princess Luna as her only family before she took Princess_Cadence under her wing. Did she adopt Blueblood or something like that?
the fact that blueblood said to shining armor "we're the only princes of equestria" in the comics, really brokes the theory blueblood is outside of equestria, i just can't think of anywhere in equestria he is from (or if any of the comics mention it)
The comics are not 100% canon. There, what I call canon "B" canon some part are canon and parts other are not. So there is little to no proof that he is for or against my theory anyway. Just remember this is theory and not that deep.
Or his family could have a close in depth relationship to Celestia, for an example.. my mother is in a sorority and has many close friends who aren't biologically related to her. But they are like "sworn" siblings... so I call them my Aunties despite me not being related to them.

I don't know if you seen G5 but Celestia and Luna do have a third sister and she is the main villain! I think Blue Blood is the son of Opaline who is Celestia and Luna's third younger sister in G5 Make Your Mark!
I have seen the scene you mentioned but I did not interpret Opline as the third sister of Celestia and Luna. I can not find confrontation that she would be anyway. It is a cool headcanon or theory though.
@@margaretespinoza4492 I think they very likely could be I mean that makes sense why she was jealous of her older sisters! In my fanfiction Opaline is Celestia and Luna's younger sister and she was jealous that they did not pay attention to her so she decided to get revenge on them by stealing the magic of Equestria! I don't know why the show never tells us like they never told us if Opaline is Sunny's mom or not or what happened to her parents G5 likes to show and not tell!
Or maybe Opaline is the oldest and stayed in Skyros to be a future leader of it while Celestia and Luna were sent to help the ponies of Equestria and could be younger than Opaline is. Just keep in mind that we really don't know until some kind of canon media say confroms or denies it. The only thing I dislike is how retcony it feels. I can't imagine the Celestia we know, just ignoring one of her siblings and never telling any ever or mentioning her once in a meanful capacity. I am not sure about Luna? she is more likely to internalize something, so maybe she would be okay with not mentioning a sibling?
