The temp really matters. I have it in an ac room with 70 ambient. The miner produced 10.5. Then moved it to another room where ambient is 80 and it was 12.2 th. I am also using the fruition design kit. I also noticed the transition also impacted it a slight bit bc it can cool better
@@CBBTECH i had it at 50% but my ambient is cold. But I did the update after and now it auto controls and it regulates to be 65 degrees on console . I noticed when I turn off the ac it jumps up to 75 and it gets better. Chips have to be warmer for performance. Kinda like the AL boxes
Yes, I can confirm that lower temps in the high 60c to lower 70c caused the hashrate to be lower in the 10-11.5TH range. I manually set my fan speed to 80% to lower temps and that's when I noticed the lower performance. Once I let the firmware manually control the fan speed, the chip temps were in the high 70c to low 80c range and hashrate was averaging 12.0 to 12.4TH. This is probably one of my favorite machines. I have three KS3Ms that are so broken I'm only getting 7TH from 4 KS3Ms. I'm working on learning how to troubleshoot these boards, but it's slow going and I haven't been able to fix one yet.
I love my KS5L's, they've been running like tanks, chip temps are perfect, no issues so far 🤞 All good points about Kaspa mining.. somehow, against all odds, it just keeps working out for me so I keep doing it. I am scared of what will happen when all those Bitmain units ship though.
@ModernMiningHub brother how you like your flag on the wall! I believe yes it will come back to a time when GPUs will be worth more 100%! ultimately big picture thinking is that if we all believe in Bitcoin and its cycles. Alt's will follow and that includes GPU mineable POW coins. All in bro.
FYI the under reporting of hash rate is a pool thing, solo to a bridge you will find your hash rate stats will be way more stable, hence why I don’t trust pplns pools at all.
I did not have to pay any customs on the KS5L this time, well only $173, but far from the 25% usually required. I live in the U.S., did everyone get away with that or is it just my LLC filing through DHL?
Okay what about the other assets like Sedra on I believe on kaspa's fork asset and Bunga? Does both of these assets reflect on kaspa as well ? I have more questions then I do answers and I own a ks3m upgraded version just with better thermal paste and or grease and thermal padding just too let anyone know ks3m had some issues with over heating but if thermal grease and paste better then factory will most likely fix the problem dyor for sure😂
I was averaging 11-12 TH every 24 hours on my KS5L a few days ago. Although, I had to restart it and ever since it's been averaging about 8 TH every 24 hours. Is this happening with your KS5L too? Any suggestions to fix this would be greatly appreciated!
That's gotta sting but remember when Kaspa is a dollar or more one day that extra 4 months of mining will be worth it. Time mining usually pays better than waiting and buying Asics for cheaper. Sure you spend less money but you then in turn mine much less coin. If you can afford it just buy it now and stop waiting for price to fall. That is my advice 😊

It doesn’t make sense to mine kaspa nowdays. 240 Kaspa per day is not worth it and it will be less and less as hash rate rate goes up. I will be waiting bear market to buy kaspa pro miner 21T and then mine. Price of miner will be cheaper and kaspa per day will be way higher, maybe even 1000 per day
@@BaconMountainMan Difficulty is now 15% more so all calculations are useless. And if you don`t now how to calculate profit buy your self. Than beater not to buy kaspa miners. stick to ETC or BTC.
@@VladimirJTa It's a short term drop, yes. But with the different firms producing more and more powerful minors, this will probably only be a short respite. As with everything else in this sector, it's a risk, and you have to be aware of the risks.
