This is part of my series on various dark sky sites for star gazing. I'll start with Dead Horse Point State Park in Utah. It's an International Dark Sky Park and a Bortle 2. It's about a three and a half hour drive from Salt Lake City, UT. The park has two campgrounds you can stay in or you can rent a Yurt. Or you can stay at a hotel in nearby Moab, UT but the park closes at 10:00 pm. So you can't get much star gazing done in summer time when it doesn't get dark until 9:30 pm. Watch and see how I rate this park as a dark sky site for star gazing. I'm sorry about the dirt on my camera sensor. My video camera card was full and I had to switch to a different camera that had been sitting in the dusty car all week. Sorry.
