The real solution is to reduce the tax rate permanently. Property value appraisals will go up next year wiping out any savings. A bunch of my neighbors are moving. They can’t afford these appraisals anymore.
What they fail to mention is that home appraisals have gone up considerably over the last few years. School costs have not gone up at the same rate. There's some extra money somewhere.
When kids are GROWN and No longer in school You should not have to pay school tax. Why pay TAX on a Home after it is fully paid for??? Why is the Home and Land not yours? Did you not pay it off? Real estate prices are getting Blown out by Realtors, Builders, Lumber Companies, Greedy Investors...We will all be Renting if it were up to these Real Estate Investors. Companies coming from out of State buying up all of the Box houses for rental property causing home values to be GROSSLEY over Priced. Local governments are pricing people right out of their homes. Shame on Local governments. On another note WHy do you need someone to charge You to Buy/Sell a house. A car is far more complex and you don't use a Realtor. 6% to unlock a door. They hold the MLS hostage. The dang closing/Title company do the paperwork. You don't need a freaking Realtor. This illusion that you can't talk to the seller if you are the buyer and vs versa. It's the Fox watching the Hen House without a doubt. The Realtors are driving prices up as well to pad their commission checks. Why do you need a Realtor...You Don't! Unlock a door for 6% of your hard earned money...I say Shame on them. Fire them all.
So if there's more people in San Antonio now than there ever was. Why is it that they don't have enough? Money Because these high rates Only started about five years ago So are they getting greedy Or are they not managing the money right
Only teachers from 1st grade to 6th are valuable, that's when we learn more. After that they are just babysitters. What percentage of students will need algebra in real life lol. History a person can learn online by themselves. You get your real career training in college and universities.
As a homeowner with two children this is a terrible idea, we already have a shortage with programs to help our special need with autism and other learning disabilities. We can't even hire teachers or pay them a decent wage. People forget schools are no longer providing music, art, sports after school programs because we cannot afford. If we cut more what is left for our children. There are other things to cut but not for the children 500 hundred or 200 hundred out of your taxes once a year we should not be crying over.
