The point I was trying to get across is not that these things cant be hacked, and the only reason they are is solely done because of some conspiracy. I was saying that the portrayal of IOT and gadgets like it, are frequently released with known flaws or bugs. The people that make these IOT and gadgets release them, with both known software or hardware flaws or bugs. Never the less, it is more frequent that bugs and flaws are intentionally added or ignored because of financial reasons. Both malicious and negligent alike.

All that was achieved through this is that we lost certain liberties and the government gained more power. Terrorism isn't defeated and bombing Syria and Yemen will never stop it either.
