I went with a friend to a Serbian restaurant in Czech and the exact thing happened. Friend was Serbian and ordered a pretty popular dish he had known, it was nothing like what he had expected. He tried to get it sent back, the cook came out and yelled at him for "not supporting Serbian culture". So we crossed the stress and got some Vietnamese BBQ instead.

Growing up Asian in Atlanta I can honestly say this is one of the most surreal skits I’ve seen. A lot of ATL black owned restaurants have mad potential but they too fucking slow n mouth off at you for asking how much longer the food gonna take. The Asian restaurants in ATL ain’t got that problem cuz they efficient af with time management.

Now I can't speak for Atlanta, but there are some businesses just like that. 2-3 years ago, when a lot of businesses were re-opening after the pandemic, I saw that there was a shop that sold Gundam model kits, and I was just getting started in Gunpla. I called, asked if they were open for business, the said yes. So I said to myself "Ok, I am going to support a local business and shop there instead of buying from Amazon." So I drive there which was about a 20-25 minute drive, give or take. I open the door, and the guy at the counter said "Oh sorry, we're not open." I said, "Oh really? Because I called and I was told you were open for business." The guy at the counter said "Oh, no, we haven't recieved our stock yet, and we are still waiting." I looked inside the store, and while I wouldn't say they were overstocked, there was a decent amount of stuff for sale on the shelves. I said "Well can I shop the stuff you have in stock?" He said "No." Sooooooo, I just left, and the next day, I ordered from Amazon. I swear, if the company I work for (major retail store) ran things that way, they would be out of business in no time.
