After watching this why would anybody buy an RV. The low leave of craftsmanship and material... those workers should be ashamed. And I know this videos old but I can tell you they only use cheaper materials and cut even more corners.
I was told by RV repairman mine is a 2007 he said in 2007 the quality was much better compared to now. That does not say much. But paid notvso great wages and piece rate they are basically forced to slap them together fast by the RV mfrs.
she said solder. it's basically the same as welding but at much lower temperatures, typically used for copper like copper electrical wiring or copper pipes. you would never use solder on steal though because it doesn't get anywhere near hot enough to penetrate, it would just break right off.
What does "...to wouldn't want to..." even mean? Soldering steel together (well, brazing it) is done with tubing and lugs with very tight clearances between them and the tubing. No RV maker in the world "solders steel together" for the frame; they _weld_ it.
Crappy, crappy workmanship and materials. Also -- "...a thin wood called 'luan'..." No, it's called "plywood", and it _some_ varieties are made from wood called "luan" (pronounced "luh-WAN"). What they are showing is _not_ luan.
