In this video, you'll learn the rundown of how I make a RU-vid Poop music video. This explanation is really composing the music portion of a YTPMV. I'll answer as many questions as I can in the comments section as well if you have any lingering thoughts after the video.

I've only made two original YTPMVs that DO use externally-sourced instruments, being the unfinished one where Grounder says "Come to Daddy" and my super-old one You Brought Me a Rock.

After all this time, watching the original, and hearing it here, I still get confused every time I hear “S.S.S.S.S. SQUAD!” not immediately followed up with “ARRES-ESS-ESS-ESS-ESST HIM!”

FR I watched the actual show and when I got to that scene and heard "Arrest him" instead of "Arres-ess-ess-ess-esst him" it felt like someone took my left kidney and I didn't feel the pain but I felt more empty

I had never doubted the work that goes into these. They're my favorite because of how much work goes into them! That's part of the reason I wasn't in that "Win the Race" Mob, heheh.

@@creeperizak8971 oh no, I love win the race, I just know enough not to harass a content creator for something. The creators put love and effort into their work, so mobbing them for stuff is just kinda rude.

I love it! Absolutely arreSSSSSting. Just goes to show how much work goes into these, so often unnoticed. If that melody I’m hearing at the end is a harbinger of things to come... well, no need to get ahead of ourselves, but you won’t hear me complain!

Dude I somehow missed this when I played through your channel. This is an amazing tutorial! I did _not_ realize ALL of the song elements were pieces taken from the show itself though. I legit thought you just recorded most of it on a MIDI and then put the words together over the top. That’s some serious next-level right there.

All of your content is so damn good, with so much effort put into it! Also, it should be said, that although I've heard there was a lot of trouble with Win the Race, with people pushing you really hard to do it, that was the video that appeared in my recommended, which lead me to subscribe to your channel, and to check out the rest of your stuff. So thanks for pulling through, because I wouldn't have found your channel otherwise.

Pretty neat that you could clip stuff from various sources and make a song out of it. Kinda reminds me of big beat Mario, which is a pretty good text book example of a ytpmv.

It's actually kinda funny because music composers and foley artists do this kind of thing when they make sounds or music. So I'd say this isn't unusual in the slightest!

This is way more advanced than learning how to ytpmv cover songs. This is a really spread out tutorial that teaches a lot, but I'm not very good at original compositions.

Cool, it's nice to get some insight into your creative processes and learn a bit more about how you make YTPMVs. Pretty interesting to learn that you get some ideas for sounds to use for the different aspects of music from what you hear in the show itself. That's inventive. Do you normally go into making a YTPMV with some idea of a melody in your head to begin with or do you mostly just experiment until you find something you're happy with or perhaps a bit of both? Thanks for taking the time to show and for the entertainment and laughs from your YTPs and other videos. Appreciated. Been a few times you cheered me up on a bad day.
