who said Klopp is polarising? His by far the most famous and popular German on the planet hardly anyone hates him. When NBA and NFL quote him and say he is their inspiration, that shows how big Klopp is globally. John Oliver summed it up best when he said trophies don’t matter, we don’t own them, as someone wins the trophies every year, he gave us moments and memories and that will last forever and delivered on his promise when he arrived.
@cjewe1z
@cjewe1z 20 дней назад
Yes. Klopp is not polarising at all. But, trophies matter very much. Would a sponsor want to associate their brand to a losing team? No. So, they will go to Manchester City and Madrid before they go to FSG Liverpool to cut a deal.
@Delboy0
@Delboy0 20 дней назад
@@cjewe1z Liverpool transcend trophies because they are bigger global club than both Man City and Real Madrid, which is why despite winning only 1 league in 30 years we get 8 times the global viewership of Real Madrid. Liverpool are like the lakers or New York Yankees or Dallas Cowboys we are the most popular sports team in the world with Man Utd so will always get sponsors because we have the most fans. @@Delboy0 the English used to run around like headless chickens and chase the ball which was mainly in the air. 🤫 England of the British invented the game but has been made so much better whether it's technically or tactically.
@Delboy0
@Delboy0 20 дней назад
@@aidygooner You have a very ignorant image of English football, because teams like West Ham, Liverpool and Tottenham never played long ball football in the 1960s or 1970s. Due to English football training being more military influenced training meant British players tended to have a lot of stamina due the training being more intense fitness based. This meant British players had higher levels of fitness in the 1970s and 1980s to put constant pressure on the ball, which lead to the English teams dominating Europe in the 1970s and 1980s. There was a period where England won 6 European cups in a row before they were banned. This also explains why English football was played at higher speed than the rest of the world because players had more stamina to run longer and faster due to the traditional British military style training methods being applied to British soccer teams from the beginning. It was Klinsmann, Rangnick and Klopp were the people who took pressing to Germany. Both Klinsmann and Klopp visited Arsene Wenger to pick his brain in the early 2000s. Klinsmann noticed that Bundesliga teams were playing passes at almost 2 seconds slower than EPL teams so took that more intense style to the German national team as coach and Rangnick who had lived in England took English pressing to German club football. By the way Pep had also visited Wenger during that period and when he became Barcelona coach took British fitness training methods to Barcelona , got rid of lazy players like Ronaldinho and his Barcelona team started playing a more intense speed with pressing. Germans just took an English tactic gave it a German name and suddenly they were accredited with inventing the tactic, when it originated from England. It is like the Iceland Viking Clap, everybody thinks it originated from Iceland when it came from Scottish fans who visited Iceland for a Europa league game and the Iceland fans copied it for their national team.

Partially also for some not-so-nice behavior once in a while. Liverpool is different than any other club out there. At Liverpool it has always been the manager is seen as a God, yes, we adore players both past and present, but the manager is over them all, it has always been that way, so if a manager can connect with the people, the city, the culture of Liverpool, we will worship them forever. That's why in the recent past managers Gerard Houllier, Rafa Benitez, Jurgen Klopp are worshipped, not only because they brought us success but because they understand the people of Liverpool. And managers who don't get us or don't immerse themselves within the city have never had our backing, managers like Brendan Rodgers and Roy Hodgson, they failed because they didn't get the people of Liverpool. Even when Benitez left and went to Real Madrid his family stayed in Liverpool, they loved the city. You have to understand people from the city, whether they are Liverpool or Everton fans is irrelevant, you have to get that we are different than the rest of the U.K., we have a massive chip on our shoulder because we have always and still are looked downed upon by everyone else, even those who don't believe that, or don't believe they view us any different - they do, but if you are from Liverpool you can very easily recognise it in how others talk about you or make reference to you, even when it's seemingly very subtle, we see it. Klopp knows this, he leaned this early on, that's why when we say "This Means More," others don't like it because they love there club too, I respect that but it's not the same. There's times the whole city and people's lives stop dead in their tracks when certain moments take place, it can be our entire lives in these moments and everything else in the world pales in comparison. That's why we take it so personally when ignorance shows its face and people start up with the tragedy chanting, it means more to us, whether people like it or not - it's true. I rate Klopp as one of the greatest managers of all time, not only because I'm obviously biased as he managed my club, but because of how he's built teams from mediocre to world-class. I respect Guardiola for everything he has achieved, he's undoubtably one of the best but he's never built an underdog, he's never had to work with what he has and make do, he's always had players who were if not world-class just a level below, he's always bought incredible talent, he's never developed an entire team of subpar talent to the the level of being able to compete with the best teams in the world and hold their own. I so grateful that I was able to witness every one of Liverpool's matches under Klopp, even when we were abysmal the players stayed the course to the point we are now. He's leaving the club a million times better than he inherited it. He will be missed. I hope Arne Slot can succeed, as long as he too understands the city and its people, he'll be supported no matter what.

May be my football memory is not the oldest around. But I have not seen a manager before commanding his players to perform at the highest level regardless of the ressources. Building fearless teams that the strogest teams wish to avoid. After that, I see so many managers going that route of compensating for lack of high quality footballers with physicality and organization. Klopp didr really change football!

I would say Klopp is not that polarizing. More like universally respected and admired

I think a few clubs have a similar rule, but Klopp popularised the rule when it comes to transfers; "no dickheads policy" is what he called it. A lot of players were discarded because of this rule after half a season at Liverpool.

This YT channel has something that I haven't seen on any other, they can upload a video in English but after a few months the same video broadcast's in spanish. Like how do they do that?? I'm in México so that's why they appear in spanish, but i really wonder how's that even possible

He will take a shot at the World Title with Germany in the future - the trainer position was offered to him after Löw left, but he said he wasnt ready yet because he felt happy at Liverpool.

Polarizing, hated AND loved? I've never met a person who hates him. Not even in Manchester.
