Emergency Episodes are a MUST. Keep them rolling. I think you must do a Manifesto review of all the big three parties in SA before elections, so to understand their promises and how feasible are they. Great show!
If Zuma goes all alone with MK without ANC its a very good thing, this will make it even more difficult for Ramaphala ANC to attempt coerce IEC to assist them cheat. ANC is down on the door mat everyone stepping on it & its good.
An old Turkish saying:" When a clown moves into a palace he doesn't become a king but rather the palace becomes a circus." That is the story of the ANC.
Great analysis. Appreciate the brief over the holidays. I see a coalition engineered between the ANC and DA by funders. Blessings to all South Africans for Christmas and the New Year.
Zuma, instead of relaxing with his grandchildren is resorting to desperate tactics. How old is he? 80 +. He is behaving like jealous school kid now. Why can't African presidents retire gracefully.?
@@nelsonchinasamy9857...what's happening is bigger than that. A revolution is at stake and everyone is aware of it. That's why there's so much movement, politically.
I'm trying to understand why the ANC seems to treat Jacob Zuma differently than their other leaders. Whether he's innocent or guilty, it's confusing that they're not supporting Mr. Zuma like they usually do for their leaders. It's like they're saying, "We can criticize you freely; just don't show any distress, as tears are reserved for traitors." Surprisingly, the ANC is now expressing a desire to engage with him, even after subjecting him to repeated incarceration. This pattern raises questions about whether their actions are tied to his alignment with BRICS rather than the powers of the UK, America, Bill Gates, Oppenheimers, Ruperts, and Cyril Ramaphosa. Jacob Zuma, during his presidency, showed a strong commitment to advancing the interests of black South Africans. Despite the treatment he received, he refrained from privatizing government assets. His term witnessed the rise of ordinary South Africans to millionaires. Additionally, he introduced crucial initiatives like BEE, BBEEE, and free education for all. These policies significantly benefited black South Africans, reflecting his dedication to the well-being and prosperity of the nation. It's impressive that Zuma not only defended black people but also took steps to ensure a fair and prosperous future for everyone in South Africa. In doing so, he left a positive impact on the nation's journey toward equality and prosperity.
We all know and knew how good he was so telling south Africans that was 9 years wested when you haven't done anything to prove otherwise let the people in tears
He has remained in a rural area with his constituency. The 2030 national development plan left with him. Rural Development saw rural infrastructure growth. We lost friends, families and associates to HIV/AIDS prior to JZ's presidency period. He bravely participated in BRICS, that is part of decolonising SA.
Nothing stays the same. MK has always been in the background. Let them have a chance to see if they've learnt from the ruling party's mistakes. Maybe people will have an alternative political home
Utata UZuma has been tortured by ANC n High Statics people now he made a move that himself also doubted he'll ever make but he was left with no choice after Zondo n Cyril incapable of protecting him.
Zuma has always been smart even when he was still president and I will give him that. Zuma was able to borrow R200 billion from the IMF and bailout all parastatals on that money and pay police and nurses hefty bonuses. Ramaphosa borrows R700 billion per annum and announce that there is no money to pay even public servants. So Zuma knows how to run things. No surprise he was able to design this plan and it will work.
His strong relations with the BRICS block make him my automatic choice. With West on the wrong side of things, I think he'll enable a lot of infrastructure development projects and I know he'll tighten the screws on BEE again. I never thought I'd admire a politician so much.
@@Tinker8531 We pay tax every month the same way we did under Zuma.Check SARS collection has improved four fold than it was under Zuma and IMF borrowing is R700 billion per annum unlike the R200 billion per annum that Zuma used to borrow and the country was busy. What do you see now?
I see no issue with the emergency episodes... If anything they speak to your authenticity and the high regard with which you hold yourself and your work. Spontaneity delivers more truthful opinion/take than prep. keep growing Sizwe.
What matters is the inside and how you unravel the political intricacies for us. You could be providing this podcast in a cave we will still tune in . We appreciate you Dr.😅
You are correct the MK party will not have any impact. The biggest beneficiary might be the IFP, KZN people always revolve around those two parties. Any party that is not a child of these two rarely does well. Duduzane Zuma might be brought in to represent the MK Party. We will wait to see if this will be a boost for them, but history has taught us that South African voters are very stubborn they would rather not vote than vote for just anyone. Overall, I think Zuma is in for a surprise, some people do not follow him because of his surname but his power struggles in the ANC, i doubt his supporters in the ANC will follow him, there are more benefits for them in the ANC than anywhere else.
True he doesn’t have much influence as he used to do. ANC will make sure that they destroy him soon. They mite leave him now because they need support in Kzn then after elections they expelled him that’s my view what do you think
You make valid points Bhungane. However, the political landscape in South Africa and globally is extremely unpredictable especially now that politics has been infiltrated by white capital. For leaders it's all about the stomach. We wait and see. Time will tell.
This is very alarming and it could have serious political power instability. Which could break the country in half through the infighting of the ANC. Also it's clear Zuma has mobalized already inside the ANC to unseat the Couch Dollar President
Many people did not want to vote because there was no alternative to the ANC. Jacob Zuma has given people an alternative and also pushed the ANC into a tight corner. The NEC has to recall Ramaphosa, and that is what Zuma is banking on. Let us wait and see
Once again a great episode - substance always trumps form , and a well presented unemotive analysis normally wins the day 👍 . Any party may have manifestos , but unfortunately if members and representatives are not aligned , and opt for self enrichment then the ' emperor has no clothes ' and they are seen for what they are, vs what they purport to be . Throughout history, those who feel they can outsmart the voters by throwing them crumbs, and empty promises eventually pass their sell by date . All that we need is politicians from any group , that keep their fingers out of the cookie jar, and spend money wisely , where needed , to build a robust , cohesive and functioning society . " When elephants fight, the grass gets trampled " - It really is time for the old guard to step aside, and young blood who are in tune with the modern world to take over . Ideally all leaders should be in office from 45 to 65 and then leave , failing which, we will continue to have outdated systems that offer no benefit to the country or its people .
Can you asked Zuma and Mbeki why do they not leave the ANC as they discovered that ANC is corrupt and the party is greedy. Why are they still ANC members as they don’t want Ramaphosa? Is there any reason behind to stay as ANC members?
If he takes enough votes to stop ANC from getting majority, he can play king maker in kzn using that to negotiate some kind of deal to keep himself put of jail.
You hit the nail on the head. He will do anything to stay out of jail, even if it means collapsing the ANC. SA will thank him for getting rid of the ANC for us.
It was a great emergency episode Doc. I might suggest that you also try to bring leaders who are leading small parties like your PAC, COPE,UDM and Good Party etc. Just to know what is their view about South African politics, economy and the welfare of us as South Africans. How will they take South Africa to progressive and prosperous times if were to vote for them👍.
Its criminals trying to undermine criminals, it ultimately leads to the rot of our nation and morons voting these criminals in to subject us to many more decades of the same old shit taking us nowhere. This nation will not move forward as long as we have all these assholes pedaling victim and struggle rhetoric when there is no struggle but the one they create to begin with. Once theyre gone, thats it, no more struggle, we gain competent government and SA moves forward. Simple, but tell that to all the dumbshits who are stuck in the past with them voting them in every damn time.
I don't think Zuma will leave the ANC, it's key to his income and corrupt power games. He added to the decline of the ANC with his discredited leadership
All court attempts to kick out his court case has failed. Zuma probably wants to hold Ramaphosa to hostage, a trade off drop the court case and he will bring back voters.
This is what I've been saying for a long time. It's a missed opportunity for opposition parties. They are not appealing let alone resonating with discouraged ANC voters which are it's base. We have lazy opposition parties who have no interest in engaging the electorate on an intimate level. All they care about is shouting in parliament while receiving their fat salaries every month. Politics is about attaining power and wrestling it from the incumbents.
This is very bad luck for ANC. Zuma did inform them not to shake the foundation of the ANC but Ramaphosa and his crew didn't want to listen! This old man has been doing all for the organization but was persecuted alone and isolated by da and west journalists. Now it's costing them all!!!
Where there is Zuma I am In politics I believe in Zuma atleast in KZN I have something to vote for I nearly gave Malema but now uMKonto Wesizwe is a new home especial for KZN and I agree and always say this it nolonger ANC that we have only fool can believe it is. #Zuma
Zuma is expired politically when it comes to influence, that was demonstrated in the ANC Presidential Elections. Zuma was let down by the KZN ANC support on his candidate, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma for Dr Mkhize. The KZN politics has moved on from the Zuma influence, and one would ask why is that. The simple reason is that the ANC members and young or new leaders are not driven per se by an ideology or principle, they are driven by opportunism, “what is it for me” attitude. The very same RTA was like any other slogan that the ANC comes with, which would not have been implemented should the NDZ had won the ANC Presidency in Nazrec. Yes, on the news Zuma had an impact, but not to the voters. The media likes to exaggerate events that had not that much impact on the masses, Ace, Karl, Mkhwebane, Manyi and Zuma’s actions will not change how the people feel betrayed by these political leaders. The ANC was rejected during Zuma’s times, thus the Zuma faction had to recruit Ramaphosa to become his deputy presidency so as to boost the Zuma presidency that would have gone down if Ramaphala was did not agree to be his deputy. Zuma’s party is no different to that of Ace, and Karl, he will attract fewer people into his fold.
1. MK's different from Areta _and ACT, it will attract more followers and Voters, from others small parties and non voters whom their interest is revived. 2. Zuma was rejected during His tenure because of Propaganda and lies that were levelled against Him. so many people (except you and few others) have realized that Media branded him as a corrupt, and fraudster leader, while he's a true people's leader. 3. As much as some people are driven by opportunism, instead of ideology or principle, we still have more young and old people who are political conscious, ―concerned about the future of their country and are willing and ready to change the course of history. 4. Zuma is not expired politically when it comes to influence as per your emotional bias analysis, what was demonstrated in the ANC Presidential Elections was the power of Brown envelopes. Zuma still appeals to the masses of people who are not brainwashed by biased mainstream media outlets. uyongimema ngemuva kokhetho siyophuza itiye siluhleke udaba lwakho, uZuma esezidlele amahlanga okhethweni. The party might not be second or third but lizozidlela amahlanga kwamaningi amaqembu amancane.
@@hgfku-tn6hb That does not make sense. I am explaining why his move will not have the impact that the media wants us to believe. Zuma is no threat to the extent that the media wants us to believe, I am glad that the elecetions are nearer and that will be put to bed soon.
@@pastorweningi The brown envelope has always driven the CODESA ANC, the agreement made for what you claim is freedom had a lot of bribery. The ANC rejected the negotiations on the land question and the economy right on the onset. Some of the reasons Zuma was voted for in the Polokwane Conference was to get rid of the labour brokers, a totally cruel exploitation and buse of workers and that was adopted as a conference’s resolution; however, the Zuma’s administration did not get rid of labour brokers. Why is that? Money again was the influence, since the very same ANC people has 30% shares in most of these companies. The Marikana workers were shot at by the Zuma administration, not even up to this day did your revolutionary Zuma question his then Police minister for the massacre, again it was the shares that Ramaphosa had that in the then Lonmin Mine that has was more powerful than the blood of the Marikana workers. I would agree with you that Zuma has been made to take a bigger chunk the mess of the ANC leadership, eg the Zondo Commission did not interrogate the arrival of the Guptas, and their previous connection to the Tata, Mbeki, Ramaphosa and even the then WP Primier, Zille who had photo taken in CP Stadium with the Guptas, just like the Arms Deal became the baby of Zuma when the company won the deal. No one cared to investigate how then would have Zuma influenced the then Board that dealt with tender, to select Thint, how the then minister of Finance’s role was, and as well as the late Minister of Defence ntate Modise, since he had to agree that these were the weaponry he needed. Mbeki denied when allegedly exposed by Madlala-Rodrigue that as a deputy president he met with the Thint agents in the SA France Embassy, there was never an interrogation on that part. This man introduced the worst kind of crises on our education that even Ramaphosa is happy with, the 30% pass mark for the African child. So do not think that I am blind to what Zuma is falsely accused of and what he did wrong, I know that the Concourt’s arrest and Zuma was illegal and unconstitutional so is the Phalaphla protection done by our CODESA product courts. Finaly, please stop pretending that the whole of UMkhonto We Sizwe is part of this new political party, we know that that the Military Vets. are divided on this since day one of the Zuma/Ramaphosa controversy. The ANC has even stated that it will challenge the usage of the name and the emblem in court, that will affect the new party as it has no time left to organize for elections and running to courts, unless if Zuma will pull the Karl Niehaus card and throw his votes to the party that not only insulted him but was instrumental in destroying his image in parliament, a very opportinistic political party led be a flip-flopper.
Hi Doc, please do a series of episodes where you and your favourite guests try to to do an analytical forecast where you envision what SOUTH AFRICA 2030-2035 could look like based on our current trajectory. From these perspectives: - Politically - Economically - Socially - Technologically/Infrastructure - Legislatively - Environmentally It could be 1 episode with Gogo Aubrey, an episode with Jamie, etc.
In my view, ANC are to blame. They defended Zuma and Mbeki through controversies. ANC was supposed to follow its founding principles rather than elevate individuals above the party.
We need an episode that explains policies of EFF and if they are realistic, last thing we need is removing ANC to only end up being like Cuba .. how can we trust a leader that says they wont trade with EU when China and Russia as big as it is still trades with the EU
The problem with someone like Jacob Zuma is that he will do anything to hold on to the power he thinks he still has .....and just wanting to be relevant but also like his former anc colleagues and cadres....and those closest to him... They have this arrogance about them + the " I can do as I please" attitude without any concern sequences .....it's time brother Sizwe we as youth stake claim and shake up things politically ourselves the current administration and their peers need to be retired sorry for my honesty but they really don't have anything to offer us now and for the near future to #them it's about #Money and#career survival in our country's politics
Thanks so much, loving the content thus far. Broaden of one's political knowledge. Enjoyed chat with Lukhona. Will add more feedback as and when I cover material. Your podcasts could not have come at the right time.
We have failed as a people in general when it comes to political leadership in this country. So much division and the emergence of new political parties every time means there is no hope in us to lead a country productively and efficiently. We treat politics with personal feelings because it is meant for personal gains for us hence all this chaos. WE HAVE FAILED!....these people are not fighting to help the citizens of this country, but rather themselves and their associates.
KwaZulu-Natal will see the ANC lose by a lot. Because IFP is regaining support, DA is gaining support because of its governance in uMngeni, and now KZN's most popular politician denounces the ANC.
Some people will say they don't care about Zuma, but whatever he does the same people react and mock him,if you don't care why are you paying attention to what he does ,you should be happy with who you love and follow.....😂😂😂😂
If Zuma represents the so called ANC then i am, for one, absolutely NOT INTERESTED because he has has stolen this country BANKRUPT and placed it in this financial MESS that the ANC is presently having to battle with. Please stay away from Zuma and his family and friends as far as possible. Let him face his criminal charges all on his own.
Ur saying a lot of nonsense. The reason why Zuma is still popular, is because u and all the other sell outs can't give any evidence of Zuma's corruption. U are captured in yo weak mind just like the media and judiciary are captured. Continue to fool yourself. One can fool some ppl for some time, but not all the ppl all the time
JZ will have an impact in KZN on the ANC, but a marginal impact in the rest of the country. But KZN is an important province and so it will negatively impact ANC numbers nationally (possibly to the lower 30%). Plus the own goals the ANC is scoring like the R150m debt debacle.
ANC core voters who have been staying away from voting have done so because of the mess Zuma caused among others. He is just a spoiler who is playing double agency to destroy the liberation movement. The question is who has been his handler ?
Zuma should be in prison not playing politics! He & his sycophant’s have been an unmitigated disaster & prove the low level competence of the ANC as a whole. He has the gall to show his face as if he was not culpable in the destruction of the fabric of the SA society. It is shameful & an indictment on the fools who follow him.
