One time my parents thought I was autistic just because I'm introverted, but in reality I'm not and I'm sure of it mostly because I'm the only one in my house who does a little researching and not sit around doing nothing... well not exactly nothing. Autism and introversion do have some similarities but they're not directly link to one another, they're different from one another, Autism is caused by having older parents, a difficult birth, or infections during pregnancy that are all examples of factors that might increase the risk for having ASD.
