Colbert is such a pro. He saw that last bit with Goldblum falling a bit flat, and he wanted the interview with his friend to finish on a high note. So he made a quick decision, changed course unexpectedly, and saved the day. Re-watch it. That's why Colbert is the best in the business: He cares about people! ❤️ 👏

Yep. Fridays are pretapes Interviews, whenever beforehand, Monologue/ 2nd act, after the Thursday taping is finished. ( So if you're going to the show, go on a Thursday, 2 monologues!)

I love when Stephen talks to another true performer and not just an actor who is there to promote a movie. He asks some great questions on par with the Hot Ones interviews. I still think the episode with John Mulaney is the best interview he's ever done when they discuss their anxieties. Look it up if you haven't seen it. It's truly fantastic and the kind of thing I wish there was more of.
