i mean technically pam was still beesly in season 4 when she said this. actually I never thought about that before when quoting people whos names changed do you use they're current name for the quote or the name they used when they said it?
That gave me hope oddly enough. The fact that he wasn't that funny back then and evolved into who he is now makes me feel like anything's possible lol.
Carrel is such an underrated actor. The genuine emotion that he brings at the end of that play, to produce tears like that and get such huge laughs at the same time, that takes talent.
i agree, in general i dont think people think of steve carrel as as great of an actor as he is. But what always surprises me is how good colbert is at acting, even though he doesn't get the same kind of practice as carrel. Like stephen has spent nearly all of his career being his daily show character and his late night host version of himself, but you can tell he has greater acting ability than that
@@rachelladue1572 YES! Absolutely. I love when he gets to flourish his acting skills during the late show. He's more than just a showman or a comedian, you can feel that he has an actor's understanding of people and a great respect for good writing.
Jamie T. “Ri-duh-duh-duh-d’gimme the beat boys and free my soul, I wanna get lost in your rock ‘n’ roll and drift away-hee-yay. (high pitched) do buh-do buh-dooo. (Steadily raising pitch) buh did’n do do do “Gimme the beat boys and free my *lil ol’* soul...”
Alexander Supertramp yeah, David. David Wallace. I have to disagree with you though. David was a serious guy who was annoyed by michael’s shenanigans but put up with it because Michael was a loyal employee, a nice guy with good intentions, and a great salesman with a great branch. I don’t think Stephen Colbert would have fit the role very well. That’s just my opinion though🤷♂️
This turned into a mini documentary in my opinion, I saw this looking for a random video to entertain myself, and I figured it would be interesting to see something with Steve Carell and Stephen Colbert. Never knew they were that close thank you for an awesome video
"my lips would be just like purpble, bruised and inverted from having to blow for 6 days" How Colbert stayed afloat with wife and baby through those testing times.
He comes from a very large successful family. I'd say there was probably some heavy reliance on them for money to get by. Theres no way he could have went that long with no income living in New York.
I thought ummmm no. That child is precious and only “ certain “ types of people will a :clue in to such a “ joke “ and B: find it more insightful than funny.
I'm not so familiar with Carrell, but Steve Colbert is the personality that I most like and admire on the planet along with Jon Stewart and Reggie Watts.
Colbert was much more talented in this line of work, I'm sure Carell would agree. That said, Steve's also ridiculously gifted and I'm glad he found his niche
I just found out today that they’re very close friends and I’m glad that they’re friends because honestly they both compliment each other in a way that no one else can.
I seriously miss their Daily Show segments, the way they bounced off each other when going ad-lib sometimes was just pure genius, their Second City days together really left it's mark. I wish they could do a political satire movie together with Jon Stewart. Netflix already did Between Two Ferns so this should be a no-brainer.
How nobody fully lost it during the "old black lady sketch" is unbelievable. The guy that plays "Nathan" NEARLY went a few times, but everyone absolutely killed it! Complete brilliant nonsense in the very finest tradition of Monty Python. Hilarious.
I loved when Carrel finally appeared on The Colbert Report. He did the opening as if it was his show "The Carrel Corral" and then they did Even Stephen amd ended up yelling at each other
Steven Carell is definitely underrated. I am so proud to know he and I were both class of 1980.......that silliness that he has, reminds me of some of my classmates, when we would just make up stuff at the lunch table in high school,,,,so when I think about being in high school same age at the same time as Carell, I wonder if he and his friends were doing the same thing! Thank you for posting this,,,,I haven't really followed Stephen Colbert, I thought he was too political for me, but I am beginning to watch more of his stuff and he too is remarkable!
Seeing this furthered my appreciation for Colbert even more. His persona reminds around Steve carrol reminds me The Office, but way better. An absolute genius.
