Very nice video. I am so happy for James and Joy. I pray that Chelsea will be fit and well very soon. As for the letter of disassociation, I just watched an ex elder who said he was not writing it because the governing body came up with the letter of disassociation and that would be leaving on the witnesses terms. I'm leaving on my own terms, so nope, they will get no letter from me. My life, my terms. I will not put anything in their hands to use against me.
I understand why some do write the letter and others do not. It’s a personal choice but I definitely understand the sentiment of not giving them a single more secound or even another ounce of control over your life, good for you! And thank you Chelsea is on the mend and we will have an update on her health very soon!
I had to sit through several talks with the elders where they tried to pressure me with scriptures and their opinions, to stop my relationship with my now husband. I didn’t listen, married him. We’ve been married for almost 17 years now, 3 beautiful daughters and our home is filled with love & respect. I know of many JW couples who have divorced due to porn addiction, adultery, alcoholism, etc. The title of JW doesn’t mean your marriage will be perfect or better than a marriage between people of different beliefs.
I’m so happy you stuck to your convictions and ultimately ended up together and now have a family! That’s awesome, similar situation with Chelsea and I actually so we can relate, there was push back on our dating but we could not be more blessed than having each other. Thank you for your input😄
I'm so encouraged that James was willing to look into the questions he had and really seek answers. I pray many more JWs do the same. Praying for Chelsea's healing and recovery. I hope she is doing better now. That is scary getting to a point where she might need a blood transfusion. But thank the Lord that she can have one if it is needed!
It was a surreal feeling when I received that email and I was just so humbled that God was able to use me to help someone out of that lie. Thank you for asking about Chelsea, it seems we have just plateaued as of the moment with only mild progress towards “better”. She had some labs done and we are waiting for the results before we can pursue the next course of action. I do hope you condition has improved.
@@BornAgainExJw Yes, I can imagine how wonderful it must have been to receive that email. That's what channels like yours are all about, right? Very cool to get to see some of the results. I understand c-diff can be a very slow one to recover from. That is rough! :( I can relate to the waiting. My health issues need lots more testing and investigation, and it's a painfully slow process here in Canada. But, God is sovereign, and always has a perfect purpose when he has us go through trials. So I must trust in Him and see what He has in store. :)

His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. Based on more than 50 years investigative journalism and experience of a former JW. Soon after it was published the Watchtower Society removed Pastor Russell's graveside pyramid monument. The book also deals with the Watchtower Society's rapidly shrinking membership as millions of JW's around the world are waking up to reality.

I didn’t marry a fellow brother because I wasn’t going to put up with a weak minded husband running to the elders every time I disagreed with him about thing. Then put up with a overbearing controlling mother -in -law telling me I’m embarrassing her son and her husband who’s an elder in front of the congregation because I’m not being submissive enough.
@@BornAgainExJw I know it ridiculous people shouldn’t have to make choices like that but that’s what this Destructive Cult makes people do. There is only so much you are going to put up with after awhile.
@@marwatson7408 I wish that was true Mar, but unfortunately there are Way Too Many people who deal with that abuse for far too long, what You did shows not only Bravery but strength of character. All to often people simply go along to get along, but it takes someone really self aware to go against the grain like you did, so cheers to you!
The reason the beard is a no-no, it's that russell had a beard and Rosenfeld when he took charge, the first change was not to have no more beards. Go deeper in your research.
One critical question I have is; is Russia and China really the king of the north? If so, I know my other questions are going to get answered real soon!
In short nothing the Org has predicted has come true, so you might want to take a TOTALLY different approach to eschatology than what the witnesses provide. I personally don’t fear my own death or Judgement day, I try to accomplish being “the kingdom” here and now on earth presently, hope that helps.
