the thing is you cant just walk through Paotans shots, hes called hands of stone for a reason he has the touch of death! also Poatan fights with his hands down and out wide so people dont know what they are talking about, it can work for some people, MVP is another fighter that does this, what you lose in defense you gain in offence with the hands down type style. the fact is tho how good jiri's chin is doesnt matter if Alex is hitting it, he needs to mix up his mma to win, in my opinion if he stands for 5 rounds with alex his loses 8 times out of 10, because he is always there to be hit. so is Alex for the straight right also, maybe jiri can capitalize on that, time a straight right on Poatan's chin, the problem is jiri's defense isnt good enough to go toe to toe for 5 rounds with alex, he will get picked apart slowly but surely, yes jiri was winning the fight but alex was chewing up that leg and it pays dividends in the 3rd 4th and 5th rounds. Jiri needs to mix up takedowns in my opinion to tier alex out abit, then he chances rise abit more. now jiri could go in there and starch alex in the first with crazy stand up! but generally speaking, if its a 5 round stand up fight Alex wins, hes to technical for jiri's style and jiri is always there to be hit, he never checks legs kicks ever and he just samurai styles into the void with his titanium chin to get to the opponent, unfortunately he cant do that with Alex, he cant use his toughness and chin to win because its night night if he does, alex hit him with literally a 6inch bruce lee hook and lifted him up in the air from it. great fight tho cant wait to watch! if jiri mixes it up with takedowns he can win, if not, its a long night for him, or he catches alex and ko's him but that really is less likely.

Jiri actually won round 1 vs Rakic if we watch that fight with no bias, landed 2-3 bombs in that first round. Against Alex he landed nothing round 1.

Jiri can win if he uses his unpredictable strikes to land takedowns off of Perreira standing straight and pulling. He pulls his head back a lot to counter punch. Jiri needs to create some chaos with the strikes but not wait too long to get countered and instead hit those grappling exchanges when Perreira is leaning backwards.

Jiris high kick followed by the punch is really nice. You see a lot of high-level thai fighters doing this, and it knocks people out all the time. They never expect that follow-up punch.

Dont care who wins this saturday, this rivarly is one that i wanna see the amount out times it plays. If Jiri wins make the 3rd, if Alex wins sometime in the future make the 3rd, i dont care, i just wanna see this fight forever. Jiri looked so great in that fight, hit Alex various times and imo is the only one that has come toe to toe with Alex other than Izzy. Most of Alex fights have him controlling the pressure but Jiri goes for it too, hes a mad man. And Alex is a beast, he only needs to catch him and boom, and hes ALWAYS hunting, always. This is gonna be a classic, ive said.

Jiri's stance and style seem to be based around a karate style of fighting stance. That low almost fencing stance where you are very bouncy, able to quickly launch yourself into an attack.

This is a tough fight to predict, I'm a fan of both of these guys but Alex more. So I'm pulling for Pereira. The real winner is us this time. This is gonna be a good fight.

People seem to be forgetting that Jiri was winning the fight before he got clipped and Alex has cardio issues later in the fight. On short notice this is the perfect scenario for Jiri imo but peopel have short memories in MMA and just think Alex will win again.

Hi tension training is equally as effective when used in rotation with full extension exercises. Even the standard push up is like 6 different muscle groupings from top to bottom. By not fully extending you're keeping a single muscle group continuously under tension, making it more effective for single muscle exercises. Why are the gym guys the ones that never keep up with research?

Alex is a slow starter he likes to get the leg kicks going after about 5 every opponent then becomes stationary and then boom , it's a simple game plan but it works and not many can stop it , I think Alex brutally hurts the leg in this fight around rd 3 and then gets the finish , similar to last I think juri panic shoots and Alex catches him with a knee or a uppercut , and Alex will use elbows to try deter him front he clinch as thats where juri is very dangerous with his spinning elbows ,

I’d like to see Jiri get this one done. I dig his style. I feel a little different after seeing the pad work with Jiri. 7:16- that is not about 60 kilos. You need a 45lb bench bar for that. His curling bar is about 15lbs. So you’re wrong there brother. I used to curl 135lbs for a set of 3 when I fought but my coaches told me it would only hurt me. He was absolutely right. Bc I did it just as wrong Jiri. His form is bad for what he’s going for.
