John Williams will always be a name I remember because of my piano teacher. He loved John William and wanted to be him. That piano teacher was the best piano teacher I’ve ever had.

8:45 - “John, you breathe belief into every film we have made.” *You breathe belief ...* Wow. It is as true as it is impactful and poignant. When I am feeling kicked down by life, I just need play a smattering of themes from Williams and I begin to believe again. My heart takes courage because that’s how powerful his scores are. They transform, transport and enable me to transcend. Thank you, Hobbs, for covering this genuine American treasure. 🥰

Star Wars would not be the same without John Williams. His music is part of the reason I love the series so much.

John Williams has done masterpieces in the Star Wars universe But he ain't the only one that can do so Have you seen Andor? The music in there feels fresh and is so d@mn good as well Also Kevin Kiner is another example, the ending season of The Clone Wars, has eargasmic tracks, and Tales of the Jedi (Dooku's scenes) have beautiful music as well

Well done! Great piece on a master composer. Interestingly - recently listened to a podcast (The Score) where they mentioned that Williams wrote the opening Star Wars theme in Bb major to seamlessly transition from the 20th Century Fox fanfare - also in Bb. He thought of every detail.

Very interesting video, but besides Williams, there are other very important composers: Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota, Henry Mancini, Bill Conti, Alan Silvestri, James Horner and many others

@@tori2dles … I respect Holyhobs because he taught us many anecdotes about the Beatles, their songs and also about other songs, bands and singers that we didn't know. And I also like his songs. This video is very nice, but it gave me the impression that he wanted to describe John Williams as the only great soundtracks composer, all the others are not so good. May be I'm wrong. It wolud be very nice if he would make a series about the best soundtracks composers.

Nice video, but the Imperial March (aka "Darth Vader's Theme") was written for The Empire Strikes Back so you never saw Vader "walking around the Death Star" with that music in the background, and also not sure why you had to play a snippet of "Duel of the Fates" over the original light-saber battle which had no music written for it?
