Try nose plasters combined with mouth tape. That will learn you to breathe through your nose at night you will only need it for a couple months maximum and the nose plasters are actually useful to have if you have a cold or whatver they help a lot by opening the nose. Great video. I feel you should make a video addressing the obsession with mewing that younger people may develop. Constantly comparing themselves, pulling these faces all day, or just overdoing it. I say this from experience. I was constantly clenching my teeth, sucking my cheeks becoming unfulfilled with the results. I also believe these bad habits were the cause of mild Tmd I developed. I have eaten/shorten all of my teeth not knowing it for about 30 years, after which a new dentist informed me I have very bad teeth (first time in my life anybody told me that), but he was right. Due to grinding my teeth, there was low possibility to form a cavity, so i always thought im good, especially that I have worn braces for 3.5 years in my youth, byt nowadays, nothing is left from that treatment, people just took money and left me in shambles. One Doctor did some test how my mouth closes and what move it makes, using some weird facial apparatus, and then after sending me the results so that I could think what i want to do (surgery or some very new braces method from Japan) but the doctor stoper answering my calls and e-mails, like she vanished :( Each dentist I visit now, tells me I need help, but I cant believe them any more in this post soviet mentality called Poland :( Do you think doiung the mewing could help? So mewing doesn't have any effect on your facial features after the age of 25?
@hahahhjahaha3572
@hahahhjahaha3572 Год назад
It’s does it’s just harder and the potential of development is just less than if your younger, just like how the potential in your late teens is lower than individuals in their early teens or in primary school. starting mewing at any age worse case scenario will ensure you jaws don’t become anymore under developed

A certain skeletal diagram shows that the mandible moves forward or backward depending on the posture we have of our head, if it is leaned forward the mandible moves forward (???), and if it is backward the mandible moves back (???) ! What do you think, Dr. Mew? I think it's the opposite, right?

I haven’t heard Mike bring up the significance of the role of emotions in survival and thriving of ancestors, connected to how the musculature and connective tissues contract under stress until consciously recognised and released through breath and movements like in yoga and Pilates. Current-day people and particularly Gen X and Baby Boomer adults tend to not know how to be aware of stress held in their bodies’ connective tissues, which restricts gliding of tissues and ease of movement of muscles, therefore restricting ROM (range of motion), and the thing with connective tissues which encase the muscles is tensions restrict bone development. I don’t believe it’s just to do with diet.

One thing that confused me a little though, was that the people you showed at the end as examples of good facial form, it's like yeah their facial structures are pretty good, but I see people with narrower and less developed facial form who are better looking than them fairly often. And I mean better looking black people as well as other races, it's nothing to do with race. I suppose it shows that facial form isn't everything.
@koanzx1
@koanzx1 Год назад
Well imagine the people that you consider pretty but with amazing bone structure they would be even more attractive to you. It’s not because you have good bone structure that you will be the most handsome, but if you have it means you have maximized your genetic potential. I don’t like to rate people but imagine someone you would rate 3/10. With goof bone structure he would go to 5/10 Now another person you would rate 7/10. He has bad bone structure, if he had great bone structure you would probably rate him 8-9/10. That’s why yes there is some part of genetics, but good bone structure = you did your part and maximized the beauty you could develop If you find someone with bad bone structure attractive it means that they were probably blessed with insane genetics
@differentlyabledmuslimjewi4475

Devil: “breathe.” Me: “wait, that’s not how this works.” XP P.S. I had sleep apnea, and slept on my back, started mewing, realised sleeping on my side was more comfortable, and less obstructive, also easier to breathe through my nose. And well, I feel great these days, been like 3-4 years, I could new better, some mouth breathing when I talk. But mostly nasal unless blocked nose. Have been working out, so only getting better. O and now I can get a full night of sleep from just 5-7 hours instead of sleeping 9-12. Although if around 5 for too often there will be a day where I sleep 10-12 because well 5 ain’t enough for full recovery XD just refreshing.

If you have had long enough time wrong tongue posture that really messed your face, then most likely you developed some degree of “tongue tie”. “Mewing” would be struggle and even if you do see progress, it would be extremely hard to maintain. So the foremost important thing would be figure out do you have one, not just “mew”.
