Yea I used to chat with kaiguy before his shorts blew up then he ego'd me and stopped replying in dms 😂 I'd show his "course" (I don't even think you could call it that since it wasn't even educational at all) to my closer friends who don't really play the game and we all agreed it was a scam. I remember originally it was priced something bizarre like $200 monthly or something insane like that and no one bought in because ain't no one throwing that around. Then I'd slowly watch him lower the price till the point it was free lmao this entire situation is weird af and I don't understand why these guys even need to defend him it's just blatantly scamming

I remember watching kaiguy when he just started RU-vid, I genuinely liked his content back then and we even chatted on discord. I was also payed like $40 to make a wave spam thing for a video by him once, but I know some people that did the same and weren't payed. Then last year I called him out on the scam in his discord (I had like a high rank or whatever so I could speak in announcements) and anyone who agreed with me got banned with me from the server💀

How to become a top gd player: do stuff you think you can't do everyday and play the hardest stuff that fits your skillset.

As a person that was pretty active in the course and was a moderator at one point (joined in February, left in early April) I can say that the biggest downfall for kaiguy and the course was him making the paid course FREE and closing off the free course. I have to agree, the advice was average and I regret paying $20 a month for it. I left before he made it free but I come there occasionally to see how the community is doing. I think most people stay there for the community in the course, not kaiguy himself. (ALLEGATIONS THAT IDK IF ARE TRUE OR NOT TIME!) I heard that after kaiguy made the paid course free, he wanted to leave the community of like 11k people to like 15 or less moderators and throw all of the rest of the hard work onto the moderators. If you have more info on this allegation on if it's true or not, please let me know.

I think what would've been worth mentioning is that the only part of Kai's content that is his own is his face and reactions. He pays for the levels he uses in shorts, he pays for editors (which would be fine on its own), and he pays for writers if he ever makes a scripted video. I was supposed to be his lead writer or something when he started KaiGuy Productions, but that was cancelled for financial reasons. I did write one video for him where i was credited at the bottom of the description for "helping" with the script, as all the comments complemented Kai for his grest storytelling and writing. I mean no disrespect to Kai because I don't think he was ever malicious to me but i think my experience is worth something in this conversation

Time for a REALLY long comment! Firstly, I want to say that while I am a member of Geometry Smash (the course in question), I have not paid for it and only actually joined it out of curiosity. The first point I want to cover is the marketing. This was probably some of the most poor marketing I've seen for something before, as it was advertised to a young, impressionable audience and was certainly blurred between the previous free version, Dash Academy and the once paid version Geometry Smash. I understand why he would promote the free one on his shorts and get a lot of people on that, but promoting the paid one wasn't the best idea when there is no mention of paying for it until the point where you actually pay. As for the community, its honestly really good! Everyone tries to help each other improve with advice for particular levels and other cool posts! Since the paid one became free and everyone moved there, I've barely touched the course aspect of it solely because I've been focussed on the community side of it more. Next up, the old price. I already don't pay for courses or anything of the like, so you know its good if I say I'd buy it. Unfortunately for Geometry Smash, I wouldn't buy it. As I previously stated, I've barely touched the course part so my opinion isn't really valid for this part, but outside impressions are important for advertisement in general, so my (mostly) outside opinion shows what most people think of this. Overall, I wouldn't have bought it while it was paid but now that it is free I would seriously recommend joining it solely because I love the community! Finally, I feel as though Kai gets too much hate for the shorts, but at the end of the day, while they do suck and it is pure brainrot, Kai made the smart business choice of knuckling down and focussing on the once empty market. Final conclusion, the whole thing has a rough past, but I'd say you should join if you want a dedicated place solely to focus on GD improvement rather than a more messy discord server. Just my opinion, and I want to state again, I do NOT agree with the marketing used for this. Also I do wanna say, Kai Guy is good at the game. He may not be the best but his current hardest is Reverence, which 99% of players would probably give up on. Let me know if I missed anything, and have a great day!

Not gonna lie, the only reason why Kaiguy has that many subscribers is because his "content" is mostly targeted to non-gd players. One of my friends (that didn't even beat can't let go) showed me one of his shorts... so it's not only a younger audience. Tbh Kaiguy's content farm wouldn't stand out from others (like FakeDenni, CiroXP, etc.) if he didn't start the "Geometry Smash" campaign, which obviously is a scam.

Hi, just want to share my thoughts. First of all, he has to pay 100$ per month to maintain the course and he has to pay an editor to create the videos. Secondly, he is a bloodbath victor that (if I remember correctly) has beaten river's part in sh. Also, while the course is not perfect and is the main selling point, the real value in the community is that there are hundreds of other GD players that want to get better and improve their life, and you can grow together. Also KaiGuy is unlikely to respond, he said he is not interested in controversy. Many responses will be from community members.

Ive seen comments from "people" that are very posotive about gd smash. i think they are bots because everyone that places these comments have kinda the same profile picture: a GD cube and a GD ship.

i mean his content is creative and editing style is decent, and hes also pretty funny in some ways, and definitely isnt the worst at all (no glazing), but he is starting to fall off alot because he remakes the same video ideas hes done in the past, and is pretty hated by alot of people for some reason

small correction: Kai is actually somewhat decent at the game (his hardest is Bloodbath in just over 20K attempts as a first extreme) but everything else in this video is spot on

Ok im go ma give my thoughts on this. As LordVaderCraft said in one of therealmikes community posts. A bad deal is NOT a scam. Kaiguys course was more of a bad deal. Here is another thing tho. While people were complaining about the paid course KaiGuy had a free version of the course called Dash Academy. So if you didnt wanna pay for the paid course you could of joined the free one. But twitter is Twitter. Am I saying that what denni trick and diamond did was right? Well I would say yesn't. Yes it was over-priced and but as I said is more of a bad deal. And yes Denni trying to tell the people to convice their parents is bad. But if anything I dont see that trick and diamond did anything wrong? Denni was kind of the only one who actually promoted the fuck out of it. But saying that this course doesnt teach you anything is kind of also a lie. (At leasg from my perspective) It really helped me beacuse the Action steps at the end of each day are kind of like giving you motivation to play. And I have 38% on Bloodbath right now. I would say that The course DID help. Now some tips are really fricking dumb. But there also some good ones. The nerve control one might not work in the game. But learning to breath correctly can Help in real life. I thought it was worth it considering it is free now. I dont consider Denni exactly a scammef just promoting once again a bad deal and I just wanna say the difference. The difference is that a scam doesnt do at all what you were promised. While a bad deal in this case Geometry smash DID try to teach you how to be good it was just way to over-priced. And yo dont take this as me Hating ive been liking your content dude. Keep it up. With respect, I disagree with this video. I used to WORK for kaiguy as back then he was planning on making documentary videos and we had a whole team. This project was abandoned later on. I got into a big drama with kaiguy but I later realized that it was all a big misunderstanding and it was neither of our faults. I went from disliking him to actually finding him chilled. I dont think his stuff is a scam as its literally the choice of the person to choose if they want to obtain the info or not. Yes, you can find the info somewhere else for free but that is a normal aknowledgement when buying a course like this. The reason people would buy it is because they want the information explained by Kai himself and dont want to go through lots of useless videos to eventually find the right info. I dont think Kai is a scammer, whatever is with Denni I dont know nor do I have a proper opinion on but needless to say that I (with respect) disagree.
