How KinnPorsche Raised BL Standards 

The chemistry between Mile and Apo is AMAZING. Had me hooked from the moment the trailer dropped

What I hope the effect of KinnPorsche: 1) Better quality writers, directors and actors work on BLs. 2) BLs are funded better so they can tell stories outside Highschool/University. 3) Easier World Wide airing.

I loved KinnPorsche. Thanks to them I can't watch any other BL's. So a blessing and a curse finding the show! 😂

I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said. Mile and Apo being so in character just completely sold this to me. The first kiss in episode 3 is the sinker. I do hope there's a season 2 but only if it's better than the first!

It was such a unique BL. It was definitely so different. It was so amazing in every way!!! The acting, the chemistry, the NC scenes, the cinematics, the music... The whole cast blew me away.

A lot of Thai BL’s have “passable” acting and chemistry that is not great or memorable. Even though the actors on KinnPorsche aren’t super well known, the acting was better than every BL I have ever seen.

I really like this kind of content. Also, I was thinking the same thing regarding the fluid take on MileApo's NC scenes. Their kissing scene in ep 8 is also like that, we have one camera chasing after them instead of jumping to different angle every time. They are so comfortable with each other. I believe that chemistry can't be fake but i believe that they can be worked on through workshop. I feel like GMM is not giving their actors enough time in intimacy workshop. Being unbiased, i believe that they set the new standard and that will be the legacy MileApo will be leaving to the Y-series. Sometimes, i can't even watch their kiss scenes because it's so realistic i feel like i'm intruding. MileApo kisses so naturally, the way they suck or sniff each other is so realistic. They have perfect rhythm. I believe that they talk a lot about what they are gonna do first before doing the scene, they design it together, and that is why they so comfortable with each other during their scenes. I hope you can talk about more of kinnporsche. I'm happy with this video. It's amazing how a kiss can change the whole game.

To be very honest...I have seen some BL series...but this one looks so real...like they are not acting at all.all the kisses and gestures seems so natural I never feel this before not even in hollywood movies...either the reel main couple is fabulous actors or they have some real life high chemistry. vegas-pete looks like they are very good in acting not that very natural but for kinporsche this is something eles.

No other series will ever be like KinnPorsche. They just paved the way to a new different world in the bl industry. I’m not saying that the series is a MASTERPIECE, because like you said, it does have things that don’t add up. It’s not flawless, but it is the closest we’ve got to it in a bl. I don’t even have enough words to describe it, but the chemistry, the story, the locations, the colors, the dialogues, the props, the cinematography, the soundtracks, the development of the characters, the fact that they touched triggering topics and didn’t let it pass as if it was nothing, THE ACTING, it’s so beautiful and well done. Like, even the advertisements made that in most series is cringy, they managed to make it look more natural into the story and not so in your face. They demonstrated that it’s possible to have many different genres in a show (fantasy, tragedy, romance, mystery, adventure, drama, action, and comedy), you just have to find the perfect balance to make it work. Bad Buddy still holds the first place on ‘the best first kiss’ ranking for me.😭😭 If that scene doesn’t scream perfection, then I don’t know what it is). 🙌🏻

Finally I see someone that has the same opinion as me when it comes to VP. A lot was lacking. I think a lot of people love them because of the actors themselves but man, it felt so dry to me. Their skinship felt so unauthentic, I enjoyed them way more when they were doing anything else. Like when they stop to talk, or when they're having a high emotional scene like when Vegas got shot. I think those two needed more time at the workshops. They're great actors, I just wasn't feeling it at all during the nc scenes. Mile and App though, those two are very much in sync and they themselves know it. They took their time to study each others bodies and emotional responses, they know that having full and complete trust in each other is what makes their chemistry bloom on screen. They let themselves be immersed in the scenes, it's a joy to watch. My first bl was my engineer lmao so the jump in quality was incredible. It's definitely set a standard and I hope future bls push through

This will help Kinn Porsche if the series would have a second season. A kiss is crucial to establish the couple's feelings toward each other. Apo and Mile's scenes are so natural that I feel like I am intruding in their lives. The intimacy when Kinn brushes his fingers on Porsche ( the helicopter ride, in the bedroom where Porsche is drying Kinn's hair) is par none. Kinn and Porches' kisses, OMG! This is what a couple in love would do. I am very new to the BL fandom. However, I watched most of the past and present BLS. I can't watch another BL in a school setting. I usually watch the first episode and get the sense of whether or not I would invest the time.

I've been watching bl series since 6 yrs ago. And trust me, KinnPorsche is on another level. They have budget, best directing, best production and of course Mile and Apo carried the whole series from start to the end. Their chemistry is insane and their acting skills are so amazing. They deserved to be more recognizations.

I was wondering why while I like Vegas Pete I didn't feel that engaged by their sex scene. I agree, the actors arent as in tune with each other physically like Mile Apo. I hope we see all the actors in more roles in the future.

I LOVED this show, but I did wish that the VegasPete story had been more fleshed out. They lived a whole romance in the span of 2 episodes. A few more episodes or more scenes would have helped show their interactions. The actors are fantastic, and I kind of wished they had gotten a chance (like Kinn and Porsche did) to show more ofthose facial expreasions/body language towards each other. The fact that we got so much from just 2 episodes, imagine what they could have done with more.

If there is one thing that is undeniable in this series, it’s MileApo’s chemistry. No one comes close to them. They brought KinnPorsche to life. KPTS raised the standard for Thai BL series because of them.

I have been watching bl for a VERY long time i i have never felt the same way i feel about kinnporsche ( especially mileapo), in fact even alot of straight dramas western or eastern don’t have chemistry like mileapo ..

The chemistry of every couple on KinnPorsche is what saved the show. Mile and Apo, Barcode and Jeff, Bible and Build. The first two episodes didn't excite me as much as I thought they would but as soon as the couples started getting together, I couldn't take my eyes off screen. For me, the plot was kinda not consistent but I think they did well with, considering the many hurdles they had to face before giving us their performances. Everyone involved in the project really did well. I hope other future BL projects (from Thailand mostly) will take notes. A few from Japan and Taiwan are not so bad.

Nine months later this vid is still spot on, and I'm so thrilled I finally came across it. It goes straight into my faves. Your analysis of the Vegas Pete parts that should have been improved is perfect and very clear. If 4minutes the series is ever shot with these two as the cast , they definitely need to watch your vieo as a workshop !

this is a very honest and balance take on KPTS regarding their romance and chemistry betrayal. I won't argue with the plot shortcomings because i agree with all of the points and even would add more of my owns. The chemistry department though, Kinn and Porsche or Mile and Apo carry the entire genre on their back. There were so much rawness, passion and honesty in their affection for one another that it creates a whirlwind of emotions in the viewers as well. Their takes are beautiful, every detail reflects their desire for one another. They make their love and passion so believable that you do feel like you are interrupting an intimate moment between two real life lovers. Also I have rarely seen anyone who would comment on the VP scenes arrangement bc that was what i had a bit of problems with as well. My biggest gripe was the shaky cam during the first passionate kiss scene. It was moving so much that I almost feel like I had carsick. I couldn't see clearly their facial expressions and felt so disconnected from their passion. Even the actors said they employed camera trick for the sex scene so that explained why it didn't feel like a continuous process. Bible and Build nailed their emotional scenes, you can tell when they nailed it because it was shown as a one shot. However when it comes to intimacy it seems they couldn't quite get to the level of physical lust their characters needed to be. So the camera movement and editing magic came to the rescue. It would have been more in harmony with the actor's temperament if they made the love scene completely sweet and gentle instead of trying to incorporate the BDSM elements. Their characters naturally develop in that direction too. Vegas seems to be a gentle lover when he is with Pete and not have to be anyone else but himself. They dont have to follow the book at all since the characters in series organically take their own shape through the portrayal of the actors and their chemistry with each other. As for Mile and Apo I really have no word. They raised the standard and they are the standard when it comes to chemistry between characters.

The way i agree with all of your points is giving me so many overwhelming feelings right now lmao...I TOTALLY AGREE with whatever you mentioned in this video.. Kinnporsche/MileApo are THE STANDARD!! Nobody did or is doing it like them..i really hate when ppl take their credit away just bcz they stan other people or trying to compete. I guess It is very safe to say that Mile and apo have carried majority of the show from DAY 1..acc to me it is both their offscreen and onscreen chem which made people talk & hype abt this show..they were compared to many famous ships like they are next Mewgulf, Maxtull..etc but NAH for me they are the new MILEAPO..they are very natural & genuine..no pair matches their vibe acc to me..its very beautiful ❤️ Whatever they did and created is literally so tough to pull off. Either it be two manliest men showing their soft side & chem like nobody else and their intimacy looks as if we are watching a real couple who is madly in love😭❣️ I love every character tho.. they contributed and balanced this show very well. And i agree with Vegaspete..they def have emotional chemistry ❣️ but physically it really looked flat & a bit awkward may be. Even tho Kinnporsche's vibe is more fruity and soft..they look more passionate & intense while making love..whereas VP had such an intense topic BDSM to their characters/bond but it somehow didn't make any impact. Apart from kinn and porsche..I love tankhun and Vegas characters individually 😍❣️ Inshort this show has ruined everything for me🥲🔪 & i am sad that i found this masterpiece very late 🤧

Especially the Vegas Pete one. It's not said a lot in the fandom but its a fact nonetheless. Kudos to you for making this video with such apt examples and explanations!!

I think it will be difficult for any BL couple, anywhere, after Mile and Apo. The level of intimacy the gave us, I've rarely seen. Especially from a more conservative country. That kind of trust and bravery is difficult to have. Honestly, I don't think we will see more like they portray. Others can't/won't handle it. This is NOT attack or criticism of others. Just what I think. But, I do think other couples, Vegas and Pete to, can improve on what they portray. It will take time and more comfort. But, we see couples that have the makings!

what I appreciated about many of KP's scenes was the beautiful sensuality, the cinematography, the color of the surroundings, the raw emotion. It was emotive when it was called for, instead of awkwardly getting the scene out of the way. No one was too shy to do the best acting, it was a class act by good actors, who understood their characters and seemed to actually become them. I loved so many of the actors, I could probably just submit an entire list of the cast...

But listening to you gave me a better understanding of how to evaluate acting scenes.As a viewer, I've always considered the heart of any series or movie, the director and their cast. Many actors take and respect their leads and hold back emotions, depending on the country they are in! There is a fine line.... Depending on the director who's willing to put his neck on the line, for his work of art, the actors will give them a 💯!😎

Yes the series was good but i must say that not everyone would want to watch serious series infact many love to watch simple light hearted series too. Standards are raised if the acting is commendable. Their acting was great that's why it was good so is other series like bad buddy, star and sky, cutie pie. These series may not be mafia series but actors acting was beyond expectations.

I'm not a Thai bl fan first of all, not that much of an bl fan in general. I have watched some bl or just very queer oriented western shows, and like the 2 1/2 kdramas that exist. However, kinnporsche was PHENOMENAL. I am painfully picky with things I love in cinema. I'm really a nerd. And to be fair, when I first started watching kp, I was a little confused. I watched like half of the first episode with one eye, got none of the jokes, then at one second got randomly skeptical and turned it off for a good 2 months. When I came back to it, I decided to force myself through the first episode, that's just what you gotta do sometimes, but then I started realizing after 10 minutes that that shut actually slaps. The jokes land perfectly, the acting is phenomenal. The cinematography is just through the roof (it almost feels a little Chinese, like in the mood for love or fallen angels). And then I was hooked. Three things stood out to me the most: 1) the humour. Often times nowadays, people praise media for being authentic but when you watch it its the most depressing stuff you've ever seen. That's not how people work. People joke to make others laugh, to loosen up a stiff situation, to cope. And that's exactly the jokes in kinnporsche. The jokes are absolutely phenomenal, they're so easy to grasp. I was a little worried to not understand the jokes because it's an entirely different culture, and that always takes time. But no. All the jokes were so based on instincts and timing, it was hilarious. And they sticked to it, too. They didn't rely on one or two jokes an episode. I literally fell of the couch laughing once. It's that hilarious and shameless. 2) authenticity. Every emotion, every story, you can read it off the expression. It almost makes you forget how bizarre the whole story is. I mean, mafia, bodyguard, suddenly a dead ex turns up, all that stuff. Every emotion is so raw, the script must've been written to perfection. When a character needs time, the series provides that time. When somebody is hesitant, they're actually hesitant. When they're happy and full of love, it's shown in all aspects, from all sides. It's unreal how good the timing is. Of course, chemistry has to do with it a lot. I was so mindblown to see that sex scene in the bathroom specifically, it was perfect. The lightning first of all, the location, the intense tension, and then the lessening of tension, and just fully accepting each other, to have the sex they both have been desperately longing for, from begin to finish, and afterwards. It was so authentic, it was just theatrical perfection. 3) the cinematography is ABSOLUTELY MINDBLOWING!! The way they use color theory, I've literally barely seen anything even close to that, even in the stuff that is celebrated for its colors. With every step every couple goes through, they get a new color palette. Kinn and porsche for example, they start off somewhere green, unnatural, dark. Almost everytime there's intimacy, there's pink or purple, but always in contrast with something completely unnatural. But once things clear up, they turn blue and white and beige, neutral colors. It's truly amazing. And just how it's shot in general. It's super interesting to look at. The editing was great. To be fair, I think they even showed Pete's and Vegas story perfectly. It's truly disgusting when you think about it. There shouldn't be like perfect bondage scenes. It's not what Pete wants, at least in the beginning. He literally develops Stockholm syndrome. It's actually disgusting and inhumane. Every cut and every movement was done consciously. It gives you an uneasy feeling. And that's what it's about. It's not romantic. Honestly, this series surpasses the 10/10 chart. And just a reminder, I'm not someone who's into bl. I'm just some random film nerd. And this series surpassed literally everything. This is way too long lmao.

While I’m a huge fan of KinnPorsche and do agree the bar is high. You want to dispute many who claim it is due to budget. Let’s not use this as an excuse as why so many BL is subpar with poor chemistry and/or plot. Did we forget that while these are high school or university BLs. They were well scripted and had good chemistry despite low budget. Why R U?, Blueming and my favorite Semantic Error. Another BL I’ve just finished but is another of my favorite now is To My Star. What is inexcusable to me is Check Out and Unforgotten Nights. These are trash that can’t be salvage. How can a non-BL like Love Is Science be a better BL than an actual BL. While the bar might be high nowadays, let’s not make it about budget as many other RU-vidrs and people in the comment section say it is.

KinnPorshe was my first BL and I've tried to watch other BLs but I just find them lacking and some of them childish. I don't think there's any other BL that'll ever top KinnPorshe.Mile and Apo's chemistry was out of this world, I felt like I was intruding on some of their intimate scenes. Actually you conveyed my thoughts so well, before Bad Buddy the only series where I found chemistry was between the leads of Together With Me but that series has other different negative factors working against it. But it is really hard to go back to anywhere from The KinnPorsche standard. Even my straight partner used to binge watch this series(one episode per night) and rave with every night.

Loved Apo and Mile. They've become a real couple. As for Vegas and Pete maybe the lack of chemistry is because The actor " playing" Pete is not gay.

Bad Buddy and Kinnporsche have changed the BL standards and now when I am watching Vice Versa or Unforgettable Night it really feels irritating and I keep going back to rewatching Kinnporsche and Bad Buddy...

I so agree with your comments. If there is a second series, one hopes to see moral and emotional growth taking place within the characters. Otherwise, it merely becomes a soap opera with the characters repeating the same destructive patterns of behavior. Vegas has daddy issues that need to be addressed and also needs to deal with family resentments and his bipolar personality. Will he have the courage, with Pete's help, and his own considerable abilities and talents, to plan a future away from "the family business"? Some of the other characters need to come into clearer focus, Kinn's father's lies exposed, and the like. The thing about this series is that there was little of that coyness and silly "resisting but insisting" behavior that plagues too many BLs when it comes to love and sex. Kinn/Porsche know what they want and set out to get it. But hopefully, a second season , if there is one, will have much less graphic violence!!

I would disagree with you abt Vegas ( bible) . we should keep in mind that it was his first acting appearance and he did well and justified. With his character. And abt camera angle I know many ppl complain abt it on sm I think it was bcs of lack of screen time VP was given ,chopped and cut scenes which makes viewers unsatisfied. Pete also did well. And mile and apo this two really delivered v well. apo is an amazing actor no doubt he is some of the actor who can act just with his eyes . it was my first show of all of them I didnt knew any of them before this series. Mile I don't know how this cute guy play a mafia character but in reality he is so cute to me . I was waiting for this series since its announcement and this long wait was totally worth it. Waiting for s2 now and really want side characters will get good screen time too.

For me, one of the best things about this series is how great the actors are and how great chemistry they all have. It's so natural and passionate. Compared to most other bl (no offense) but the actors eat them here. Especially Porsche and Vegas. To be honest, this is my first Thai series but I've seen a lot of other bl series and this is some other level. Jesus l want second season so bad but l hope this all shit with that author first will be solved and all actors came back

Kinnporsche and semantic error have definitely set the bar high when it comes to bl and that’s mainly cause of the lead actors and their chemistry cause you need great chemistry along with the acting to really sell it otherwise it’s just not gonna work, that’s why there’s very few bl I really love cause either the chemistry is bad the acting is bad or the story/plot is bad, idc how many kisses or steamy sex scenes there is if the actors chemistry is bad and it comes off forced and cringey, I can’t get into it, I can stomach a bad story/plot if the acting/chemistry is good and the kinnporsche cast was great especially mileapo and also jeffbarcode for me, I feel like they ooze natural chemistry like mileapo and even though we didn’t get much with them their still memorable cause they really sold it with everything they did but mileapo performance was so legit I felt like we were intruding on an actual couple making love, they were simply fantastic as kinnporsche and what makes me love series so much cause it’s not the best story/plot wise but the great acting/chemistry of the cast makes it work, as for vegaspete I feel they have good chemistry too but not on the same level as mileapo and jeffbarcode they didn’t have as much passion but the emotions they were really great at you felt the turmoil with those two overall it’s one of the best bl ever and I hope we get a season 2 to wrap up kinnporsche so the cast can go on to do other things they love but it’ll always remain in bl history as the best til something possibly dethrones it which I don’t see happening anytime soon

Okay, as someone who has only watched one BL before KinnPorche I need someone to explain this better to me pleaseee. I have nothing to compare it, so for me it was a really good show, but that’s it. Like, I liked it, I’d watch it again but I wouldn’t put it on a pedestal. I truly like it, but if you compare it to every single series out there it wouldn’t be on the top at all, but maybe if you compare it with others BL series, it would? I so enjoyed your analysis. I agree with you! Kisses in 2gether took from an otherwise cute story and ruined it for me. Sotus kisses? Ugh! Better to leave them out! KinnPorsch excelled on many levels, best of which, to me, was superb acting by entire cast, but especially by Mile, Apo, Bible,and Build. Love scenes are meaningless to me without the story and delivery by actors.

I agree with ITSAY being better and IPYTM being not good You know that something's gonna be good when just from the trailer andfrom the trailer and some moments before the series even premieres everybody is already excited to watch it it's it's trending on every social media platform people are tuned in and threw out they enjoy it from beginning from episode one to the last episode we laugh we cried we felt angry we felt happy we felt all of the emotions that she was supposed to feel and we felt all of the actors give all the emotions that they were supposed to play the role get into the role and make you feel something and that's what I look for when I watch anything The entire cast of KP also have chemistry, they all get along and everyone aged a part in the series even the ones that died or were terrible characters but amazing in acting like Tawan, Vegas dad , Kinn dad etc... I agree um when it comes to BDSM in Asian dramas especially BL they are very vanilla like did they watch 50 shades of Grey because the same happend like it's not intense. Spanking, flogging, chains and whips aren't that intense

I liked this until you got to Vegas and Pete, the scene with multiple shots wasn't because they couldn't do it as actors if you watch interviews or behind the scenes they'll explain what happened and it was mostly the setting, and I also don't agree with getting rid of the comedy yes this is a Mafia but making it to serious would have lost allot of audience imo . I would not have liked it as much and also if you read the novel it also has comedy. I do agree with the need of other characters development but as someone who read the novel it's also not developed there so let's hope for season 2

You can raise your standart with a good budget and a good script. I agree the actors were not bad but I still could not love KinnPorsche. Mainly people love it for the spicy stuff which I don't care. My personal standart are BL's like Cherry Magic and We Best Love. They haven't the budget but they had the chemistry and a good script. Or BL's like Old Fashion Cupcake. The acting is the most important point beside the chemistry. I don't like Thai BL's at all exept I Told The Sunset About You and TharnType. So I don't get the hype about KinnPorsche I personally think it is overrated.

k but i am gon have to disagree wit u abt the 2gether kiss scene because that particular scene that u chose to 'prove your point' was the scene that showcased sarawat being drunk and drunkily kissing tine so of course tine was seen uncomfortable because that was the plot line for that particular scene as a whole, they have a lot more better kissing scenes than that lol

I actually think Vegas and Pete stole the series away from Kinn and Porsche once their arc started. What was so compelling about the Vegas-Pete pairing was not the physical relationship, but the emotional one. Given the amount of pain (and for Vegas, self-hatred) that they had trapped inside of them, BDSM was, honestly, the perfect trope for expressing it, even if the depiction of that genre of lovemaking was suggested more that realistically depicted. The music and lighting of their love scene intentionally placed it outside the world of reality and gave it a dreamy and disembodied quality that suited their first love scene. On the face of it, they seemed like the most unlikely couple, until they began to reveal the pain and scars that they had locked deep inside and that they very much shared. Pain, but also trust and surrender, was the only way so much pain could be released. It might have been a lot for the audience to stomach if they had shown us a realistic BDSM love scene between Vegas and Pete. Instead, we ended up getting the most tender and caring love scene, and I found that surprising and shocking (in a good way, as it just came out of left field). The variety of different types of love, and it’s expression, was a strength of KinnPorsche. Kinn and Porsche are a very sensual couple who communicates primarily on the physical level. Kim and Porchay is the innocence of first love and what happens when it is betrayed. Vegas and Pete show a profound emotional connection that is so filled with pain and anguish that it has difficulty finding an adequate physical outlet. This, to me, is one of the beauties of KinnPorsche, the diversity of love relationships and how they come to be expressed.

There's so much that I love about this series, but Nu is one of the worst characters I've ever seen in a BL. Every second she is on camera ruins the episode for me. She's childish, selfish, foolish and extremely entitled. It would be great if she disappeared.

The only reason 99% of the fans watched it was for the sex scenes and nothing else. You want BL that raise the bar of BL you need to watch triage, bad buddy, vice versa and unforgotten night. All of which do not have one shred of toxic BL industry behaviour.
