Ive been playing hob with collector navori BT into Deaths dance sterak BC and its pretty good. You do insane damage if W bite crits and you have perma W in tf. And collector kills off with bleed most escaping enemies.

I love champions like this that requires heavy understanding of her kit to fully utilize her

I use briar so that u can "accidentally" int 💀

Apparently quickblades is super busted on her, just constantly getting your abilities up again and the crit.

My favorite build i've seen so far, and the one I played on PVE is full AD CRIT Briar: Navori (which makes it so u are almost always on berserk and gives u more chances to E as well or keep Q'ing to keep the % armor pen on the target), collector, LDR, BT & shieldbow/Maw/DD. With this build u DON'T want attack speed, because she has the 2nd best atk speed steroid in the game after Tristana, so all u really need is Lethal tempo and items with AD + CRIT. Keep in mind the bleed is what heals briar (25% of its dmg), and it scales with AD. So you can get RIDICULOUS burst heals once u kill a target, cus u heal for all the remaining dmg that the bleed would have dealt. I'm not exagerating when I say that your bleed can stack up to 700+ dmg so u heal for about 200HP per sec and u can go (literally) from 10% HP to 100% as u kill a target. Is MENTAL.

It’s a good champ actually mastery 7 on my account (Briar Bloodfalen) and I can tell u have to see the champ as a Warwick. A tank with huge mobility ( 2 gap closer Q,W + flash + R…) myself I don’t use flash anymore cause my W is all I need. Ignite or slow are very strong on her. This champion don’t like so much diving , she prefer deal in river or jngl 1v1. And use your w for jump evry walls and take vision on a enemie who go in bush for exemple you will see him. PTA, Gore or Stride, bruiser items (shojin, bc if they have more than 1 tank, steraks, etc..) it's pretty good

Being frenzied on Thornmail Rammus without your E is basically 0 counterplay suicide

One note on clear is that with her bleed passive you can leave camps quite early. Camps will die if you get them down to about 120 health from bleed+jungle pet level 1. So the laat two or so autos on red in the shown clear were unneccesary, but maybe just done because W was on CD. This increases over the game from levels/AD, but you should just be killing camps in one W anyway.

Can also end W from q'ing to a minion, overheal is a better rune, and the items work better as crit depending on enemy team comp

Some other hard counters for Briar are Illaoi, Jax, Nilah, Gwen, Leona and unless you land your ult which grants true sight champs that can go invisible like Vayne will fuck you up in a 1v1.

I dont know if its the way dummies or the way briar berserk mode were coded, but if you use briar W in fog of war it can scout enemies in bushes with no ward

this champion is the most fun i've ever had in league

-i play briar mid I dont like use TP, briar suffers almost nothing from pock as it might seem, in fact it punishes him relatively well. The problem is that the TP stays dead, hitting the ulti is not that difficult.

Ive been using a Tempo, Overheal, Alac/Tenac (if vs heavy CC), Last Stand. Paired with Shield Bash or Bone plate and Revit or Unflinching.

I was playing a casual Aram and got Briar, ended up 32/7 with the normal bruiser build

WQE (kidnap) is actually very hard to do because people run from E range very fast after stun

The rune that has worked the best for me and I have not seen many people using is PTA, with ruin king, stridebreaker, and the situational bruiser items. You literally delete an adc by activating PTA, ruin king and the second W.

Briars biggest counter is master Yi. He he either cancels your w or heals himself while you agro and doesn't take any dmg

Build ive been having extreme success with (top, and jg) Is Dusk or Youmuus, into BC, into Edge of Night or Axiom, into bruiser/tank itemization (deadmans spirit visage etc etc) Runes = HOB, sudden impact eyeball ultimate hunter, alacrity/tenacity/bloodline and coup de grace/cut down/last stand.

Also Counters: Zhonyas, Kharthus (kharthus death passive doesnt stop briar beserking towards him)

my fav build is PTA collector into navori into BT only suffers vs cc but u can play around it with not engaging 1st and playing smart with R follow up. i believe ATK speed is just a bait you do not need more than what her W gives.

You have to talk abouit the Druttut going in hight elo with Briar top

so how does her buffs from W and ult work? if ult is active and I cast W, do they stack or does one override the other?

i find that q e usually doesnt work cuz the q stun lasts 0.85 seconds and the e charge time is 1 second, and then a .5 second cast time, so they have an entire .65 seconds to flash or dash or go untargetable etc. i play ap briar and run everfrost to compensate, in case anyone wants to mess around with ap briar. i think its super fun but its def easy to counter lmao. one more problem, u can just get oneshot while ur e is charging...

I recommend - if you want to use music - choose such with no lyrics in it or else it may distract from reading

axiom arc is kinda troll no? grudge just does more damage and gives slow that helps when people flash and can be applied on ult fear. champ cant go in and out i don't see why u want to ult again in fights with that really long animation.

If you need an all in then E W Q W2 can output enough damage to kill an opponent and is much more capable of catching people off guard. Only use this if ur in a desperate situation tho

Why Stridebreaker if Trinity Force exists? Briar uses a lot of abilities, so extra AD is great

One time playing aram I picked Poppy because I had nothing else to play, enemy team had a briar and she couldn't do anything about my W, her ult, W and Q got her stun locked everytime, I felt bad for her

For clearing to add you should be autoing camps once (lvl 2 important) then use E for the pet damage 😊. Then of course auto again into cancel with W

Briar is just master yi without q, if you hard cc her she just dies instantly, but unlike yi she has no way to dodge the cc if timed even remotely right

Dunno what other dudes are doing but I got pretty high Winrates and still got at least 2 kda even if we lose. Briar is a cheese if you know when to dive in

I would like to see the bleed vs jg camps increased, otherwise fun champ

i really hate this season's quickplay being a draft mechanic. because, no matter who your team is, they will all try to jungle and leave me with nothing to farm, then complain that their jungler is level 3 when everyone is level 11. when in reality, it's the fault of my team deciding to counter jungle their own jungler.

of course it's jungle that makes briar viable

there is so much damage in this game that team fights feel a bit meaningless, it doesn't feel like there is any outplay in something that can kill you in 1 sec or less really, I remember when Riot's policy was that ONE SHOTTING SOMEBODY IS WRONG, mostly because it gives you NO CHANCE to actually play the game, react , make decisions or ANYTHING, assassins where still viable and they took at least 5 seconds to kill you but now the game feels ridiculous since they made everything one shot you. A Miss Fortune can Q+Auto to insta kill you, dude, what is going on with this game,

I liked Briar either solo laner/jungler using Hullbreaker + Jak Sho. Insane ultimate defenses+both items gives her a very strong initial tankiness on engage while your team follow up. Still, Jak sho is doable for the stacking. Maybe Frostfire Gauntlet would be a better option to reduce damage.

I think briar's low winrate is because people who don't properly read about her abilities use her in lane

Riot: Designs unique bruiser champion. Players: Builds 6 boots every game, and plummets the on-release win rate of the champion. Everyone: Wow, this champ must be really bad. Top Korean Players: What if we played her like an actual bruiser instead? Everyone: OMG, this champ is actually good???

Surprise surprise, the champ that actually takes a modicum of skill had a lower WR than the previous OP on-release braindead easy champ so everyone thought "ooga booga this champ terrible, need buff" instead of playing her for more than 2 games and making a verdict off of it.

My only problem with briar is you can't at all control your W, they should nerf the dmg and/or healing but allow you to change targets with rightclick

The only problem with using Q after W is that Briar stops prioritizing champions and can get stuck killing a minion, personally, I rather use the Q as a gap closer and only then use the W.
