Failure is always on LeBron's mind. He is always thinking, "What if I fail?" Meanwhile, failure never even crosses Jordan or Kobe's mind. They both embraced the times they came up short and said, "How can I get better?" Then came back stronger than ever. That is a GOAT mindset and mentality.
The dude is liar with weapons-grade narcissism. I've never understood the insecurities he had back then because his team was on the right trajectory. Maybe not better than MJ trajectory, but he could've had a solid run in Cleveland that everyone would've respected and could've retired afterwards and been a living legend in Cleveland. I agree 100 percent, if LeBron stayed in Cleveland and won 2 titles with the same exact stats he would've been more respected and still spoke in the same light as MJ, Kobe, magic, bird, all the best, and it would've been earned. Instead he couldn't overcome the odds and had to take the easiest way out.

Kobe played through so many injuries, after the 2011 season he went to Germany to get a special knee surgery to be ready for 2012, and he was ready, he tore his Achilles in 2013 and played his first game within 8 months. In hindsight it probably would've helped if he didn't push that injury so hard, but that was the Mamba mentality Kobe lived by, he couldn't go 50 percent today to go 100 percent tomorrow, cause tomorrow is never promised. I think the biggest tell for this is his defense. LeBron WILL NEVER take the hardest matchup on defense with the game on the line cause he is scared to be the guy who lost and let the other guy hit the shot, but the truth is fans respect that guy alot more than the guy who hides in the corner and forces everyone else to play elite defense for him, and then take all the credit in the end.

The league absolutely despised AI and his “hip-hop, gangster culture” that they thought he would bring to the NBA and ruin its image and tried to undermine his influence and ruin his reputation but he still showed up to work until his retirement. The shooting with the left hand was the perfect act to go both ways: 1. If he failed the shot then he got excuse that he can carry for the next games too, 2. If he made it, then he can brag even more about his greatness, for example like matching Bird who had successfully shot with his left.

I've never met an adult that is an actual fan of the NBA claim he is the greatest ever. Just kids, youtubers, and paid media members. He was a beast athletically when he was younger, but he didn't have the IQ like Magic or Bird, and he was never a competitor like Jordan or Kobe.
To further your point at old school basketball players hiding their injuries, there was a round table discussion between some Filipino basketball players and analysts about enforcers, and the legendary Filipino basketball player Benjie Paras would say that he would not put a bandage on an injured part of his body (let's say his right hand or finger) because the enforcers would hack the hell out of it.

Can someone name even one player who won 4 rings and 4 season MVPs that made so many stuff up in his career to save face? 'Cause I can't and actually I have at least 50 players in my mind who would never ever make this stuff up to save face as they are MEN enough to face reality instead escaping from it with lame and childish excuses! All I ever heard in the 2010s was LeBron had no help in Cleveland 2004-2010 and Dan Gilbert was a terrible GM. But LeBron actually had two back-to-back 60+ win teams AND 2009 COY winner Mike Brown. Been going back and watching more footage like this and seeing there's more to the story that Klutch Sports guys in the media aren't telling.

And those Cavs teams were arguably better defensively than they were offensively those years. If your perception is that today's teams you mentioned are better just because of offensive box scores, did you take into account the difference in pace, 3pt attempts, and defensive consistency between these years? According to the facts I can see, LeBron bolstered most of the offense for the 2009 and 2010 Cavs with a heliocentric style of play as well as playing great defense, and the rest of the team was better defensively than they were offensively. Check their off ratings, def ratings, and net ratings. Check their win-loss records. They even went 2-2 against the Boston Celtics in the 2009-2010 regular season with a 108-88 victory in Boston Garden, the largest margin of victory in their regular season series (Paul Pierce could not play that game but 20pts is still a big margin to win by without PP, who was averaging 19ppg against the Cavs). Main issue always has been that heliocentric offenses fall short more often than not in the postseason -- late 1980s MJ Bulls under Doug Collins, Nash's Suns, most of LeBron's teams, Harden's Rockets, Westbrook's Thunder, and Luka's Mavs. Even Jokic's Nuggets fell short this year despite being the reigning champs. They lost to a deeper team (Minnesota) that eventually lost to a less deep team (Dallas). Lol. And in greater defense of the 2009 and 2010 Cavs teams, were they weaker than the 1994 Houston Rockets? Tell me what you think, and more importantly, why. Check their off ratings, def ratings, net ratings, win-loss records, conference competition. Hakeem led that 6th seed to a Finals victory going through 3 50+ win teams. Hakeem also won MVP, DPOY and FMVP that season. If that Houston team had a chance, then the Cavs had a chance too.
