Here are the written Wing Chun techniques used in this Sifu finisher, as mentioned by Fattaah. Pak Sau - “Slapping Hand” Lap Sau - “Grabbing Hand” Fak Sau - “Whisking Hand” Dai Chang Sao - “Lower Spade Hand” For those that practice Wing Chun, feel free to explain how you use these techniques in your training! I enjoyed Sifu, but I don’t think it needs a sequel. It tells the story in one game perfectly. I would love to see more breakdowns on Sifu! I’ve been waiting for one like this.

I practice a different Kung Fu discipline, but we use pak sau and lap sau as reaction drills to raise our reaction time. We spend some classes doing these and other reaction drills so that we can go on autopilot for some fights.

Sifu and Jade Empire are ONLY true martial arts based video games. Everything else has martial arts as a sub-theme. Absolver wasn't nearly as good as I expected it to be. It was meh at best. KCD did an excellent job at HEMA, unparalleled to anything before or since. For Honor might come close second. But true martial arts based games are almost impossible to find.

SIFU is like prolly in my top 10 or top 5 because it does the martial arts so well. On top of that, the art style for this already stylish game is beautiful, the Arenas are fun, the age-death gimmick is actually fun too, and the game is difficult but fair. You get your ass beat early on but as you play and learn to get good it becomes so satisfying. The only thing it left me wanting more of was story, because the story is relatively simple and it’s more about how the story is portrayed than how much substance is in it. SIFU deserves getting its own episode for Secret Levels.

@ScenicFights I recognized some of the techniques, but anything coming from Pak Mei or Wing Chun was completely foreign to me. With that said, the fights were really fun, so I have no complaints. Hopefully, we'll see a sequel someday.

I believe this is Pak Mei, not Wing Chun. They seem to have common lineage, but are different martial arts.

One idea I'd love to see are the melee weapons used in Predator Concrete jungle like the maul (tonfa-style weapon), the combistick (bo staff maybe), and the glaive. Underrated game with interesting melee mechanics

Also, if you hit hard enough at the groin area, you can break that thin cartilage piece in the front of your hip bone that's basically holding your thigh bones in place it makes standing difficult walking extremely difficult and running impossible. If you manage to hit in the right spot hard enough, you win the fight

I love seeing Wing chun in action but I feel like in order for it to be truly effective someone could add in elbow strikes & knee strikes but maybe I just don’t know enough about it
