Leading library associations, such as the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and the American Library Association (ALA), and publisher groups including the SDG Publishers Compact, have developed strategies to increase understanding and participation in the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). There is a gap in awareness and understanding in higher education in the United States, which presents an opportunity for libraries and publishers to work together.
Join Emily McElroy and Robin Kear in conversation with Jamie Hutchins as they consider how libraries and publishers might partner to provide information and knowledge to their communities. In this discussion, they will touch upon some common issues in gaining engagement with the UN SDGs and provide practical suggestions on how to win over reluctant or resistant stakeholders.
