I had the LINX procedure almost 2 and a half years ago and it has worked quite well but not perfectly. I occasionally will have a flare-up but only a couple of those in 2.5 years. I will say that, for me, post-op eating was a little tougher for me than for this gentleman in the video. I was fine the first 2 days but on the 3rd day I was in a restaurant and a large bite of food got caught in my throat. It scared me and really hurt. I learned quickly to start taking smaller bites of food. Also, my doctor told me to stay away from extremely hot and extremely cold food for the first few weeks. Apparently the temperature of a food or drink affects how it goes down the esophagus. My surgeon also told me that he much preferred the LINX to fundoplication because the LINX should last your lifetime but fundoplication, according to him, had to be redone in the future because the stomach stretches.
@@jasonwest7476 coughing through the day and sometimes at night . While night time would wake up failing to breath. So much coughing it was unbearable . Plus referred random pain through abdomen . Hope this helps
@@micromobilitynews4885 Thank you 🙏. I have tons of pain in the abdomen, so much so that I can’t eat much because most foods cause it to flare up. Was diagnosed with a small sliding hiatal hernia 12 years ago. Racking my brain to decide on getting surgery or not. I’m quite sure I need it. Thanks again for the quick reply!
@@jasonwest7476 my random pain has definitely gone . After a few weeks I’m still coughing a little bit , nothing like I use to plus able to breath at night. I’d recommend it and Mr Gossage was an excellent surgeon
