I have the 8 inch version in their wheat color. I work in the landfill industry and do a ton of walking through mud, trash, gravel etc. These have held up perfectly for the last year. Their toe box and insole shock absorbers are by far the best I've ever seen in a boot. If you buy these you will not be disappointed.
The anti-fatigue sole in the Timberland pro Boondock is exactly what it says. I bought my first pair at a swap meet for 80 bucks. I was so satisfied with them, I will not mind paying full price when I get a new pair.
@@gustavohonzofo For plastic and rubber repair clean with acetone or 99% alcohol. Clean a 2nd time. Glue with 3M Scotch-Weld Plastic & Rubber. I usually have pr100 and pr600 in my truck. Only thing I found that bonds rubber stronger than the Rubber itself.
I am on my 6th pair. They last me 1.5 -2 years. On my feet for 12 hour shifts in heavy industrial work. Lots of walking , ladders, mud , hot water , gear oil, diesel, hydraulic oil, hot water. Most comfortable boot out of the box and stay comfortable till worn out. Best boot I have worn and been in the work force over 25 years.
Still have my first boondocks from a year ago and use them everyday 8 - 10 hour workdays. Half that time I worked in all 4 seasons outdoors doing electrical work. They look gnarly. Very worn in. Still %100 holding together 🤙
Thanck You. Iv bin in the concreat work zone for the last 19 months poring walls in Michigan and iv worn through a pair of Cerrlinas pro 8ch each winter, 6 to 7 months .A set of Therrowgoods for about 5 months and two sets of Artek Muck boots for footings. I just got 8ch Timberland PROs. 600 gram.
I do concrete at my work.(sewer & Water) -Buy a horse hair brush and use warm soapy water on Friday night. Remove laces…Scrub them and paper towel them off…let dry. Apply dubbin oil with an old tooth brush to the welts, seams and lace eyelets. Use a polish cloth to Rub the excess into the remainder of the boot. Let dry again. Sunday night use a longer/bigger horse hair brush to buff the entire surface. (I use oxy-clean on my laces in a jar) the uppers will last way longer and then a cobbler will resole the upper for $50-$70🇨🇦 My next boot will be Dayton boots )handmade … $800🇨🇦
I've been a wolverine guy for my whole life 2 to 4 years I'm just a truck driver I do go into some rough job sites very often and in all types of weather in the Northeast I do flat bed the waterproofing is gone ASAP maybe a year Max Timberland PRO have the best waterproofing waterproofing and are much warmer much warmer
Yeah that's been my experience as well. People that work in warehouses or other not as demanding jobs have said to me their boots lasted 4-5 years in the comments here
I’m on my third pair of boondocks, just like most other guys, they last about 2 years going HARD. ( i wear them every other work day as I switch out to my Carolina’s while giving them one day on the boot dryer) my first pair I ever bought did last me alsmot 2 years wearing them everyday for work and putting them on the boot dryer each night which is a game changer for me and saves my boots from rotting and stinking. They’re one of my favorite boot for sure. I have wide feet and am 230 lbs. I have nothing bad to say about them… I will buy another pair here eventually…
Had my pair of 6 inch boondocks for nearly 2 years. I'm 260 lbs and drive truck and unload freight. Outstanding boot, I'm gonna give the power welt a try this time. The boondocks are amazing but a bit bulky. That was my only complaint because it is hard to shift my bike riding to and from work.
Spent a year working 60 hours a week in a factory in these, switched to a mill and have got 8 more months, occasionally cleaning and making minor repairs, the only problem I've had out of mine is the leather around the steel toe will crack and peel, still no leaks tho. The soles have held up perfectly stand 10-12 hours a day for goin on two years. Highly recommend these boots if anyone is searching for which pair to buy. Even done side jobs putting up siding and handling scrap metal, they're Hella resistant, not like a Walmart boot that gets sliced in half from sheet metal lol.
Would not recommend the red wing boa boots, I have had mine for like 8 months and the soles are just about toast, and had to replace the boa laces once. And had to replace boots one over warranty because the inside liner ripped completely out. Those also lasted 8 months. I am an electrician, we do solar and also miscellaneous concrete work for generator pads etc and dirt work and the boots get tore up pretty bad
Same boots, but I work manufacturing and production, wet environment so the water proofing will be put to the test but if you can get 9 months or so minimum then I'm satisfied,.. I get a new boot allowance annually, let's hope they don't change up the construction of the boots much year to year then 😉
DAKOTA BOOT'S ARE NICE AN THEY MAKE AN PRETTY GOOD WINTER BOOT WITH AN COMPOSITE TOE. DUNLOP ANOTHER ONE AN LAST BUT NOT LEAST HELLY HANSEN. DAKOTA AN HELLY HANSEN ARE PRETTY MUCH THE ONLY COMPANY'S THAT MAKE AN EXTREME COLD WORK BOOT THAT HAS AN COMPOSITE SAFETY TOE.
As a plant operator I’m sure I’d get 4 years from a tim pro. No longer being exposed to chemicals that deteriorate leather and not a hard industry on boots.
I just trashed my 4th or 5th pair of boondocks. I got 2 years out of the last pair. I get 9 -15 months out of them on average. I'm a concrete pump operator so I walk through mud and concrete daily, constantly walking as an operator. I do more mechanic work now on the equipment and less pumping so I was thinking about buying the timberland pit boss boots. A good bit cheaper and look lighter than the boondocks. Boondocks are rugged boots and last in our industry.
@gustavohonzofo3 so far, the issue has been walking on hot iron every now and again. I'm supervising now, so hopefully I can get max life out of them. Like you, I've tried MANY different brands. Carolina work boots that laced up high were pretty good. Anyways, thanks for your video. Fingers 🤞
@gustavohonzofo3 damn, so first night wearing them. (3rd shift). Left ankle area hurt by the end of the night. At the top of the boot. Laced too tight or not tight enough, I'm guessing. The steel toe on the right foot hurt my foot bone, but not too bad. I think there is gonna be a break in period....
@Mr.Peanut1986 generally I haven't had a break in period. I guess keep on trying them or alternate boots till you break them in. If they don't work for you though don't torture your feet it's not worth it.
I'm 5'8" 175 and I went with the 6" size 10 medium, but different feet for different people... these are comfortable to me and I really didn't have much break in time at all, that was my biggest worry, working 12 hours 😅 🙃
I just stopped wearing boots the heel on them makes bending over back breaking. So I decided to wear my vans that I use for skating to work and they are a lot! Better than a heavy ass boot can’t believe i wore boots for 7 years!
@@KTGMetalheadSwiftie no. I do framing so I’m bent over framing walls and putting floor sheeting down heels on boots are stupid. Love wearing vans lightweight and they don’t get mud stuck on them.
@@kickyourfaceandlaugh607 Oh nice nice okay my bad...I've only had a couple pairs of Vans thus far, but they were both excellent quality and VERY comfortable!
