I just imagine Loki asking Thor to help him get dressed. Thor probably complains constantly and wonders why his brother has to wear so much and be so flashy which always ends in Loki whining "I have to look good to destroy the world!"
15:53 We see the specimen called Loki, being dressed by his brother, a male god of thunder called Thor. They are bffs in the inside, but they can't admit. Lol
I would definitely listen to LokiHatesYou if he told me to kneel. I would literally lay there and die on the floor at his feet from the shock of him talking to me.
You’re blind, that looks nothing like Loki. Edit: just realized that this is in fact not Tom Hiddleston so now my sarcasm doesn’t make sense lol ignore that.
freezing clockhands well he actually doesn't have to put any clothing on lmao. He's a master of illusion, he can just make it look like he has clothes on xD
freezing clockhands I've always wondered if his clothes were all an illusion... And what he's really wearing is his dark world prison outfit. Or he's wearing all the gear and he just makes it invisible including his helmet....
As a cosplayer myself I must say this was beautifully explained and everything!! You must be very proud!! I think the fact that you look exactly like Loki is a bonus! Aha x
this begs the question . how the heck did Tom Hiddleston fight in this costume if the movie costume had so many layers ....????is the move costume this detailed as well ?
Yeah it is if not even more detailed. Tom said it somewhere that he always sweats a lot during all the scenes but they often make a break in which the actors can cool themselves down but it's still hard work.
Also remember that the movie set had many many sets of costumes for each actor, so there is probably one kind of costume he uses for the main scenes where he has dialogue and there are closer shots of the costume, and then there are most likely separate costumes for the fight scenes that are much lighter and more agile with less detail/ layers. It is probably still a pain in the butt like Tom always says, but move sets always have different costumes to be used for different kinds of scenes
The costumes are made of better materials, they're not as heavy and stiff as his one's, but that's all because of the movie's budget and costume specialists
The costume designers also implement a small tube in the costume's folds that spreads cold water within the costume in order to keep the actor cool given that they work with real leather.
hahah "this is already weird" i love it, this is educational and hilarious. also, yeah it takes me about 30 minutes to get into any of my cosplays because i corset and wear a lot of body-shaping under all of my outfits. Forget bathroom breaks...or sometimes sitting down at all!
Inhuman Scientist Tom or every marvel actor/actresse be like “please I have to pee” and russos be like “if you have to pee, pee in your costume and don’t bother me anymore”
I don't dare ask how much this was to have made for you/for you to alter... lol. I hope you've won some costume contests (if you enter) cause you deserve them, lol
This is one of the best cosplay videos I've ever seen. You explain it beautifully, it makes actual sense - I've seen more than a few that are super-rushed and are more confusing than not having watched them at all. Also, the magnets are a spectacular technique. Whew, though, I can only imagine how freaking hot that is on a con floor!
I don't participate in cosplay nor do I know anything about it, I'm not even sure how I got here I was just clicked but this was a very interesting video
DAMN. If I saw you (Loki) walking by 💗😵 You must get some incredible reactions is all I’m gonna say. You look fantastic. Thoroughly disenchanted- more the opposite...
This video was extremely helpful. Seeing each separate piece, hearing what material was used to make them, and seeing how they connected to each other will be of immense help as I design my own loki cosplay. Plus, I never even thought about using magnets to hold armor together (that will change my cosplay life!)
As a costumer, you did a great job integrating all the pieces, so they work in tandem. As a fan, i don't think i will ever hug you again at a Con, for fear of getting my electronics demagnetized. Last but not least, you forgot prison Loki. I like that one the best.
Still? Some of your fans haven't see the shirt, Mr. Sassy pants. I'm just being honest. I'm lucky enough to have seen them all in person even your business Loki too. Someone mentioned that they've never seen it. Unless you start selling pictures or posting more cosplay pictures, this is how I spread the gospel of Loki Hated you. So, thhhhpppt!
+Sara Solomon If they're watching this, they probably follow one of the 5 other pages I have that features those costumes. this video was meant as a process based thing, not as a reverse peep show featuring all my closet cosplays.
It's super cool to see how you've optimized the pieces to accommodate each version. Man, that magnetic seam along the back of the jacket is seriously genius!
Okay, but it has to be satisfying when you hear the magnets click and the costume is fully on. I mean, you can't drive or move, but satisfying nonetheless!
Try corn starch (Maizena to be more precise), moists the skin, keeps swet and smell away and put fiction and allergies down. I live in Rio, Brazil and use it. A hole lot!
This is amazing.... the costume is perfect and he is the perfect cosplay Loki I've seen so far. I want to cosplay the female version of Loki but now I am kinda rethinking it because there is no way I could be this amazing lol
Paiger43 I say go for it, you never know until you make it. The first version might not be the best but you'll be proid to wear it cause you made it yourself. As you learn more they'll keep getting better
I'm taking SO many notes from this video for my own cosplay! Holy crap, I don't think I would've been able to figure this out without this video. Thank you! PS. Ever figure out the hand armor/tunic problem?
I just found your video and it's really awesome. I love the costume! It's unbelievable how much effort you put into these costumes! You did a really great job there :)
**throws off blanket thing** “this is already weird” me, sitting on my couch at home, bright red, wondering wtf i got into, but still determined to watch it through: what did i get into,,,,,,,,,,,,? why did i get into.....
I'm a girl and I would go to a cosplay but my parents think that this is crazy so I can't go :( but it isn't crazy, is it? i think no because i wouldn't go all the time in this costumes, only to cosplays or something like this or is it crazy when a girl/lady want to try this clothes when the real actor or character is a men? Can anybody help me please
+Ase AlDenmogd i dont know. my father likes marvel too and he is a big fan but he dont understand cosplays i think. But maybe they think why i want to play loki because im a girl...i dont know
it's not crazy at all! it's called genderbending when you cosplay an opposite sex character and make them your gender. i cosplay a lot of male characters and do them SUPER girly, next up is Lolita Thor i'm working on right now. it's called crossplay when you cosplay as a character of your opposite sex and pass for their gender, like agirl convincingly cosplay Loki and passing as male. it's super common in cosplay and not weird and really fun! p.s. I'm 42 years old and have only been cosplaying 5 years, so...didn't start until I was very much an "adult." ity's not weird, it's fun and cons are wonderful. your parents should ligten up a bit, it's just dressing up on days other than Halloween.
Caz M thank you! This would really help me :) When my parents still think that it's crazy to cosplay somebody then i would do it when im adult (Im soo sorry for my english)
It's NEVER too late to start cosplaying! You should definitely do it when you're out on your own and comfortable enough to give it a try. I was 37 when I first started and my parents thought it was VERY strange. Now my mother and father both ask me what I'm working on next have become very supportive in helping me with cosplay projects that are too big for me to do on my own. I made a set of 9 foot articulating wings this past summer and my father helpled me 4 days before the convention to finish rigging the wings so they opened and closed and he was VERY impressed and happy when my desing worked perfectly! You can see photos of my wings and other outfits at Caz Cosplays on facebook :) If you want to cosplay, please do it! Show your love for the characters who bring you job!
Man that's so awsome! Thank you for the demonstration. The idea with the magnets is neat, never thought about it. thanks man! my next costume will greatly benefit from your adjustment ideas on those awsome pieces of workmanship!!! Thank you
Just wanted to thank you for sharing this. Had no idea it was that involved but some of the tricks you showed to help hold pieces down has given me ideas I've never considered before when crafting a costume. Looks amazing and it's great that you are able to get so many different versions just from one set with a few interchangeable pieces. Everyone did amazing work!
Incredible everything that goes into those costumes!!! All the creators did a fantastic job and you make a perfect Loki!! Thank you for making this video :)
This is my favorite thing I’ve ever seen, I’m sick as heck and very entertained. I want to cosplay so badly but I have literally no idea what character I’d do well with and everything
Wow I love this video, Its a great process of how you change, and I love that you show all your attachments/ belts/zippers and hidden connectors! It's great reference! Also I feel your pain on the sweating instantly, I did a organization xiii member once and had to keep taking the jacket off because i'd get too hot.
That is ridiculously beautiful. Great inspiration for my future cosplay with my big brother! He’ll be dressed up as Thor, as he promised when I came home from my first surgery.
as an artist currently working on a Loki piece this was so helpful to see the different parts of the costume and figure out better how it lays just standing around etc. thank you so much for this video, again, so helpful! 💕
I love this so much. I’ve never done cosplay before but my sister does. I’d love to cosplay Loki one day. Being a girl and considering how many pieces there are to his costumes it’d probably be a bit troubling as a first time cosplay. But this video has a lot of handy information!
Man! You're hot! 😍😍😍 You look like Loki too, which is a bonus cause I love Loki a lot. I can imagine the actor and chararacter doing this everyday because of this video.
Ya know. I’ve never really been interested in too many cosplays, but boy! This is amazing! Though I am a little new to the MCU, this Loki cosplay is super detailed!
You have a very attractive Vanna White assisting you. ;D Excellent explanation and demonstration! I love how versatile the jacket is. Totally not disenchanted. ;)
