I have a l4 l5 herniated disc. My back doesn't hurt at all anymore. It's my left calf which hurts or cramps up a lot when I stand up or walk. The pain starts after 1 or 2 minutes after standing up. as soon as I sit down or squad I feel relief. That's opposite of what I hear in the many videos I've seen about herniated discs and sciatica.
I'm have been dealing with cyclical sciatica for the last 6 months that developes over night, peaking in early AM gradually subsiding to a moderate pain level as the day progresses. Sleeping in a bed is torturous with sudden sharp developing pain around 2 AM. Meloxicam is taken once a day at the highest 7 AM pain level which seems to help moderate the pain. Walking without a cane is torturous at best. I finding that by placing a small cushion just above & along the belt line in the back while sleeping overnight in a recliner seems to improve my condition. I'm suspecting this relieves the soft tissue pressure pressing across the opening where the nerves exit L-4 & L-5 instead of inside the vertebrae opening.

Thank you. I’ve a severe case since Thanksgiving. As someone who has had RA for 20 years, that is a cakewalk compared to this. I have been going to P, which has helped. But, it’s not healing me. The pain is horrible.
Great info, I am 70 recently retired, have had this happen maybe ounce every 2or 3 years do to twisting or lifting wrong, this time could it be to long time of sitting due to retirement
I have been diagnosed with sciatica for 16 years and now it's even worse pain is severe all day and night, all the treatment I'm getting isn't helping at all, what else can I do or use to heal the pains and weakness
Hello, I really liked this video, you explained so many things about the sciatic nerve. I’ve been suffering with sciatica for 3 years, I finally got operated at the end of October, this year. I had a herniated disc on my L4 L5 S1. I was in crucial pain, not even the opioids could help ease the pain. Now I am better, but unfortunately I still have pain What can I do? Thank you , I’m writing from Palermo Italy
Hi I'm so sorry to hear that you're still having pain😢 I was just diagnosed with a herniated disk in the same region and sciatica which was super painful last week! Have you found that the surgery made a big difference, or are you still having major pain, if you don't mind me asking❤?
Dr , my pain is in the buttock and nerves pulling the whole leg. I am taking pregabalin for 4 months now with no effects , although it is getting better from a month ago.

I am by No way a nurse or doctor but I do find arthritis BC powders to help with pain! They are in the aspirin family so be careful with dosage. Hope you feel better soon. This is worse then birthing a baby. At least we get a gift after the birth. 🌞🌻

My butt just burns and it’s a numbness burning slight pain. I can tolerate it but does it go away? I tried popping by back from left and right on my flat bed and that’s what caused it. Man I also sit a lot bc I drive for a living I do hot shot and it’s not fun when your butt hurts when you’re driving lol

I already did ex- ray and ultrasound but the doctors saw nothing. It's has been five years now and I have to work. I walk and lim most times when I over work. Thank you.

Mine has lasted 69 long long years...after school rugby injury. Even though I still love the game. So all you can to get it as soon as you can. At 86 I am at the end of my tether
Trouble is that realignment, though it's important, is not sufficient in its own. It's like straightening the poles on a tent. The ropes (tendons, muscles) take longer to adapt. Sometimes they are more difficult
