@@triumphantdesign3326 and they are still hiring... Doesn't mean that it's not that long in development. Of course, 2017 was early concepts and ideas... But they literally said themselves in 2017 that they are also working on an action RPG
Fable deserves a team willing to put in the time and effort it takes to make it what it needs to be. I feel like We can rest easy with Fable in Playground Games’ hands. Especially since they’re a British studio, need that style of humor man.
I had forgotten about Compulsion Games; given how long they've been working on the project, their game could be a surprise release for the end of the year. Heck, depending on the size of either Avowed or Fable, one of them could hit by the end of the year as well. It's nice to learn of the development period of these games but seeing these Microsoft studios and their lengthy development times does remind me that Microsoft could really do with some smaller or AA output in their library. As for the games I'm looking forward to, well Fable most of all but Avowed also has me curious.
Thank you so much mate. And yeah, some games have been really long in development. But then, the pandemic definitely took its fair share of time. So we shall see if they announce sth as a surprise
@@Boxenberger True, that certainly makes it harder to estimate when a game is likely to release. It would be nice to have even rough dates for some of these games though; I like to plan out my game purchases to help with budgeting (of both money and time).
Do you think the small project from Obsidian "Pentiment" could be a surprise release this year? Awesome job on this video by the way. I know from experience these types of videos are a lot of work especially on the research side.
Thank you so much mate. Means a lot. I mean pentiment - the Disco elysium type of game - could be a thing this year. From all we know it's quite far along in development
Great video again brudi, lots of games with around 5 years development, hope they show something on the showcase for the fall/holidays this year 😎👍 at least 23 and 24 are looking to become great gameyears !!!!!
With Starfield delayed, my most excitement is Fable as I loved the humor gameplay and story in the originals. Followed by inXile's next project. As a personal wish - id love a multiplayer turn based tactics game that is designed from the ground up to be enjoyable cross-device; phone/tablet, console, and PC. I can imagine having 100+ round matches that take place over days or even weeks. Similar to 'Words with Friends', I could be a part of multiple matches at the same time, taking my turns, doing a round on my phone while away from home, and another round when home on console.
Man, now I want that InXile game you just described 🤣🙈 But seriously, I am also behind Fable and also avowed. I live Skyrim and I want to see their take on this!
I think working from home just doesn't work for the gaming industry. Im disappointed about the starfield delay but I mean its only been delayed a few month the same people hating are the same people who would say they should of delayed if it came out a mess. Can't wait for the show in June hopefully some fable and everwild news. contraband devs could rival naughty dog so can't wait to see contraband. I mean we all knew 2023 was supposed to be the year when the studios would start regularly dropping games from the 50 plus in dev, Activision will be owned in 2023 and then all the projects they're working on spyro 4 crash 5, cod, etc etc then the mass back log of Activision games been dropped into gamepass. The future is very bright for xbox despite unfortunate delays and the hope from sony fanboys that they fail ive noticed the loudest voices exaggerating the delay are actual fanboys.
I'm 100% behind Starfields delay. And I think most (reasonable) people are. We all benefit from the delay. I think most of the disappointment comes from the fact that there is nothing else the entire year. So I truly hope that MS will have a surprise up their sleeve at the event
@@Boxenberger that's it its not about the delay of starfield or even redfall a delay is a good thing it's just the lack of exclusives at all hopefully things will change soon
I want to see gameplay of Avowed, Fable and Everwild. Those were my favorite games announcement from 2020 Xbox event. That Xbox event was really great in terms of game announcement. Since then I'm so excited for these 3 games. Also want Xbox to announce more games like those.
Oh what a day brother, fingers crossed they have a plan B. Otherwise the momentum will be lost and questions will be asked and rightly so. The showcase will be the point as to how, this will effect 2022. ♥️✊
I mean what can we do they won last year with highest rating games their show was the best of the 3, this year they had planned starfield, redfall, atomic heart, stalker 2, deathloop, a plagues tale and supposedly Forza motorsport 8. 2 of which have been delayed because of the war, Bethesda has delayed 2 for a few month but the rest seem to be still on schedule. Zelda got delayed for a whole year aswell and lets not forget horizon and gt7 and god of war were supposed to come out in 2021 and all got delayed a year and god of war is supposedly delayed again to 2023 so if gt7 and horizon didn't get delayed in 2021 what would they have had for 2022? nothing they would of been in the same boat as xbox are in now except worse because xbox has delayed games and sony would of had nothing to god of war was out. Either way ill be playing Hogwarts :) my other 2 planned games I was getting are delayed Zelda and starfield
@@metjetfan23 Thank you so much brother, honestly means a lot to me 🙏 And thanks for asking. The little man is better and learning to manage his every day life with the big cast on his arm. He's gonna have another surgery in about 5 weeks now. But it looks like he'll be fine...
Sorry but you Fable time is wrong. Having an idea or a pitch is not the same with starting a project. Consider you could pitch an idea to a movie studio but if the movie studio takes the bite, then the projects start afresh not from your pitch. Every one of Xbox games studios games would have had to start when they were greenlit and that would be between 2018 to now. I think Playground had a pitch with artworks and maybe a demo reel, but work would only have started once they were acquired in 2018. Fable at most is 4years not 5.5 years.
Sorry, but that's not true... It has been that long, they started to prototype it in 2017,of course that was playing around. But that's what all game devs do in the beginning. They themselves said in 2017 that they started to work on an action RPG. Playground themselves... So unless they are working on sth else it was Fable since 2017
@@Boxenberger The idea they had in 2017 was not for Fable it was a dark action adventure fantasy. They pitched to some publishers other than Xbox and when Xbox took it they decided to do Fable very much similar to how coalition was doing Shangheist and then deviated to Gears with all the ideas from their former projects going to Gears. There is an interview that Playground had with IGN talking about some of this. In fact they barely had a second team. I believe it was in 2018 when Xbox bought them that Buckingham palace looking place and they started hiring for the project. I will look for that IGN interview.
That wasn't the point of the video mate. I didn't talk about what could be shown. They have many unnanounced games in the making, so there could be a surprise This video was supposed to give an idea on how long the games we know of have been in development
99% of your info is wrong! Starfield is not coming 2022. Fable hasn't even been started other than early an idea. Perfect Dark is in development hell...you've seem to have just made up dates!
