I just had lipo (almost a liter of fat removed) and everything she said matched what my experience was and what my doc said. This is serious stuff not to be taken lightly
psa to anyone thinking of getting lipo: some people get lucky and have really fast recoveries but this is NOT always the case. i had lipo 5 days ago, and it has not been a walk in the park at all. it hurts, its uncomfortable, im exhausted all day long. im anxious. be very sure that you want to do this or you will regret it. also make sure that you can handle discomfort for extended periods of time and that you dont suffer from mental health issues such as anxiety and panic attacks. if you cant wear pants that are a bit too tight or youll get super cranky DONT get lipo. lipo is like that for a month and never being able to take off the pants.
@@blewprent Hi! Significantly better. I still stand by what I said but I do not regret the procedure. My pain mostly left at about 6 days along with the majority of the discomfort. Now 6 weeks later I have only a bit of pain leftover on my lower back and some lumps that are still disolving from the scar tissue.
@@fannypinka1973I am 7 days post op from my abdomen/flank liposuction and I'll agree here. Day 6 was a big improvement. The worst thing for me was getting out of bed and standing up for the first time. I'm still seeing a lot of swelling/liquid retention, but thatll probably go away soon.
Hello, Dr. Thank you so much for this informative video. I'm just curious, what is the cause of skin numbness after liposuction? I tried to google it but can not seem to find a satisfying answer. Thank you.
Awwwwww I love it!!! Please make more videos! I just had a BBL plus 360 lipo and I’m currently 3 weeks Post op today so I’m still learning about compression and just overall healing
Hello Dr…I am seriously considering liposuction, I am actually considering traveling from TN to see you after watching this video. My concern after watching this is whatever you mentioned for clotting as I had a blood clot when I was 18 and am curious if that knocks me out of possible lipo and/or tummy tuck, please advise 🙏❤️
I had lipo five days ago and do have significant pain when I first get up in the morning or anytime I get up from sitting for an extended period of time. Also right above my right hip is an area of burning and sharp pain. Almost feels like I ripped something while getting out of bed. I think I may have overdone it in the early post op period because I was afraid of getting a blood clot lol. I have my follow up in a couple of days So will discuss with my surgeon then. Also you are so right about the pubic swelling lol. Again I think because I was upright too long. It was certainly alarming to see that. Thank you for this informative video.
Hello Dr. Im new here and I enjoyed listening to all of your great information, thank you 😊 but could you please tell me where you are located? I need a consultation for Lipo..thanks again
I got lipo 360 bbl and j plasma 3 weeks tomorrow. I have been miserable. The doctor gave me 20 .5 pain pills. One pill did nothing. Lymphatic massages hurts . I definitely needed two pills before . My body is very swollen. If you travel stay in a recovery house at least 4 days. 6 days better. Dr. Will not give you any medication once you leave the state. It is not an easy procedure or process. It is down played. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR PRIOR TO.
Your microphone on this video...many times was off (interruption), can't understand or hear some words! Can you fixed...so can people or myself understand!
I'm hating it! I have a dent in my medial knee. I'm close to my 1 year pist op. My worry now is that my surgeon won't offer to fix it. I really don't want to look for a new surgeon. 😢 He told me it would heal it self over time. He said 1 year, but it's still there. Maybe a little softer looking, but still looks odd to me. Atleast before they were chubbier, but smooth!
I have a lymphatic Drainage Company and Most Surgeons recommend at least here in Florida between 5-15 massages. It’s up to you depending on how you feel and if you are still draining or not. My patients pay for 5-10 massage packages and then depending how they feel they keep adding more. Hope that helps.
@@1shaymocha I recommend at least 2-3 sessions per week for the first month, at the beginning is more important, after a month it’s up to you really. Patients feel better after having them. Massages will help you get rid of bad toxins and improve your lymphatic system since your body went through a shock during surgery, and It also helps to reduce the swelling. It’s better having them even if you spend a little more. We have patients who were never told to have lymphatic massages calling 1-2 years later because their body have weird bumps or lumps and want us to fix it with massages, when it’s kind of late for that. That’s the surgeon’s job, there is nothing we can do.
I am a 33 waist I am strongly thinking about doing my abs my waist area in general would like to get my waist to about 28 or so if possible and I was worried about the pain and If it's safe after looking at ur video it gives me alot of courage to go ahead I would like to know the cost now for this surgery, and I am all ready in my mind body and soul 😊
Liposuction is not going to remove 5” off the waist for most people. In order to be happy with your results it’s important you have realistic expectations. Cost is around $5-6k
Just did it myself today. Careful when u get up the first time to use the bathroom. Blood and fluid ( just looks like blood tho) will come pouring out the wounds but its and you will feel you will faint. Just mentally prepare. Its normal tho
Pain depends who did the surgery and how good they did it. Most surgeons are rough on the body and cause lots of pain. Even the result depends on how good a doctor is and most don't really fulfill the expectations of the patient. As long as they got the money this all that matters. I think this surgery should be illegal. Too much inner harm.
I don't think it's all about the money for most surgeons, sure there is an exception to every rule, but they have reputations to with stand. They want to a great job. Great job happier clients/patients better reviews more referrals and yes better business more money. It is a business and these people need to stay in business. Everybody needs to eat feed there families. I don't think ethical doctors are in the business to harm people. Just need to make sure it's not a family doctor that got a weekend certification duing your weekend!. 😉
I don’t understand why physicians downplay the tummy tuck pain and recovery after? You need someone at least I needed someone for 5 days to help me! It was so painful and walking and going to the bathroom was horrible! Pads work best for the drainage.
Will you gain weight back if you dnt follow a good diet plan? My Dr thinks I should get weight loss surgery I'm not sure about that, I want liposuction, also I'm a type 2 diabetic
Also a BIG TIP i learned, Sleeping on the couch thats reclined is Farrr more easier than sleeping in your bed and putting alot of pressure on your body =)
I took 2 weeks off for stubborn fat that didn’t go away despite diet & exercise in my lower abdominal area. 3 kids left that pooch below my belly button. I think I had 600cc removed. I was mildly uncomfortable but did not expect the level of fatigue I experienced. I am a RN & found I could only do half days that 3rd week. Full time on the 4 th week but still a lot of fatigue.
I wish I saw the before my lipo 360! I’m a cardiac night shift nurse. Is it safe to go back after one week post op? I won’t lift, pull or push patients bt I’ll be on my feet for most of 14 hrs taking care of 5-8 patients. Will that hinder my recovery if I work 3 days straight?
Hi, I’m a labor and delivery nurse and I’m due to get lipo of my abdomen soon and was worried about returning back to work 2 weeks after my surgery. I saw you were a nurse. How was your recovery with going back to work?
@@RRSportGirl how did you feel during the first day? I’m getting my procedure done in 2 weeks, and I don’t have anyone to go with me, so I was wondering if I would be strong enough to take an Uber myself
