That's not how it works lol, you don't just add up circles to get surface area, surface area is (pie X radius squared). Surface area of a 10 is 78.54", multiply that by 10, he has 785.4 square inches of cone area

Now, just imagine if he had 12 $200 subs. Like Alpine type S or something. That would bump loud AF. Back when I was in high school, I had 2 sony xplod subs and my friend had a set of Kenwood subs. We put all 4 of them in his old suburban he had and it was stupid loud. I thing each sub was $150 bucks in coffin boxes that we built ourselves. Those were the days 😆

@@J_h_420 dude used pressed plywood. Most expensive part of the build was screws probably. Just because you have an opinion doesn't make it worth sharing😂 I could very easily make this system for under a grand. That amp is like 280$😂 and you can get them used for like 150. All the subs were like 300. That's not 4-500$ in wood guy

If comparing same specs to other brand lines, probably a 30% or so markup but vs. performance/motor force/design you get what you pay for. Varies by goals, box, etc. as well

I put together a budget build. Had a $99 Walmart Razor sub amp running 4 super cheap $8 Parts Express 8” subwoofers in a custom built 4th order. It hit 135 db at 45 hz. You can get cheap to hit good, you just have to know what you are doing.

Why anyone would say something bad to this guy who is like alot of us broke and getting the most of what he can afford. I have always thought of doing this with like a 12k and 10×12" Rockford p2 or maybe that cheap Amazon 12 everyone says is a budget banger just to see how much cone area compares to motor force

This the best way to enjoy your system to the fullest you don't have to worry about blowing an expensive sub and you can have a huge system on stock electrical

@@Gr8rome407 yea i am all the way correct, all gear can blow but the fact is 98% of failures is user error. Ive been in audio for 30 years, used just about every brand, never blown a sub or amp. And define "huge" system on stock electrical, most stock electrical cant handle over 2,000 watts, severe voltage drop is just as harmful as improper tuning and clipping your gear.
