Why can't this offense put Nussmeier under center and run out of the I formation? It seems to me that running out of the shotgun formation on 3rd down 1 or 2 makes no sense.

The two 3-point losses in 2013 were brutal. Defense wasn’t that bad outside of the Georgia loss. Couldn’t handle Bama either, but they were undefeated at the time (before the kick 6) and had gone over 40 5x.

Put Nussmeier under center on 3rd down and 1 or 2 and run out of the I formation. Makes no sense to me to run those short yardage plays out of the shotgun.

1) Stop running up the middle three downs in a row behind Chester.Your only going to keep embarrassing yourself sometimes you can't get a yard that way. 2) Work a a slew of 3rd and short plays now in practice don't just randomly throw a play in the last minute 3) Stop running the Alabama winning goalie play teams know that's all we got Mix it up run that on a random 1st down 4) If Nus is going to move in the pocket he needs to learn to stop up in the pocket or step to the side Losen him up practice scrambling and passing and get rid of his tendency to throw off his back foot More back peddling more interceptions coming

No, the lsu teams you mentioned were probably not the greatest ever..Mac Jones Bama might have an argument, or maybe Vince Young Texas, no wait Reggie Bush SC ..maybe a Nebraska team from 90s or miami in their prime?..point is there is NO way to determine who the Best ever was..offense or defense..it's all subjective

It is NOT subjective. What that LSU team did statistically on offense in 2019 will never be broken in this lifetime. Those numbers don't lie. That's calling a spade a spade. It is not open for debate.

Idk y ur bringing up ole miss from what I've seen LSU has ABSOLUTELY no shot at even competing w ole miss ole miss is a hell matchup for LSU there's miss matches at every position the only place there isn't a miss match is at edge and even there lsu will be challenged the most they've been this year

Let me start by saying I think LSU loses to Ole Miss. But... Ole Miss has played Furman (FCS) , 1-2 Western Kentucky (Whose 1 win is over an FCS opponent), and 1-2 Wake Forest (Whose 1 win is over an FCS opponent). Again, I agree they are a better team overall. But you got to be shitting me if that level of competition makes you think they are the second coming of Jesus.
