Fun fact, the reason Moongeist Beam did so much is because it and Sunsteel Strike actually ignore opposing abilities, so it’s like having moldbreaker without actually having moldbreaker
brooo you’re not making your ev spreads properly. ev at level 50 not level 100. 204+ speed is what you want not 200+ speed, evs at level 50 are 4 for the first point then 8 evs for each subsequent point. that’s why people do 252/244/4/4/4 btw, +1 point in defense and special defense in exchange for one point in your attacking stat (not always necessary though).
damn i actually did not know this thanks for the heads up! In SV you catch Lunala at LVL 70 so i just went with the spread at a LVL 100 set since i couldnt catch it at a lower level regardless. But i'll absolutely keep this in mind going forward thank you
Man, I remember using a Calm Mind Lunala set in the gen 7 singles battle spot ladder. The Z-move destroyed key targets such as Ultra Necrozma, Offensive Primal Groudon, Mega Rayquaza, also Shadow Shield is broken as balls 👀
Shadow Shield is actually essential bro it gives you that setup turn basically for free, i wish i was into competitive properly around gen 7 because that sounds mad fun!
wow fantastic video SplashPlate I loved seeing how the Pokemon Lunala can use a mix of the Pokemon Item Weakness Policy & the Pokemon move Agility to disrupt the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet VGC Single Battles Meta Game! Thank you for this entertaining and educational Pokemon Scarlet & Violet RU-vid Video SplashPlate!
New follower, cause really, first time I see someone being as underrated as you, your videos are amazing, I’ve watched about 3 videos available in your channel, and I just really hope for you to get what you deserve as soon as possible! :)
That Dragonaid most likely multiscale but moongeist beam ignore shield ability, like multi scale, shell armor, sturdy, etc. Moongeist beam and sunsteel strike is one of move that can kill tera electric baloon Shedinja
Ohhh yeah that makes complete sense! Honestly it probably is multiscale, but i think banded sets do tend to run Inner Focus just because of the intimidate mons going around atm!
OHHHH BOY i been waiting to use Terapagos! I'm torn between the rock polish CM set or the Specs set for the damage, anything you'd like to see specifically?
@@SplashPlatedef try the rock polish CM set! Its ability is basically shadow shield but wayyyy better so its really easy to set up. Also, when you tera its tera starstorm is now un resistible and if you are playing doubles then its move hits both of the opponents pokemon! But thinking about it, specs is interesting but it could be chipped down and may be unable to break strong defensive walls which could be a problem
@@jinheecollier961 nice combo with orthworm. First, orthworm uses a slow shed tail and pass sub to terapagos. Behind substitute and with full hp, terapagos can use CMs and Rock Polish thanks to his ability. After sub faded, Terapagos still have 1 more turn receiving less damage. After that is Tera and byebye. Orthworm with sitrus berry and terapagos 252 def e 252 sp attack with leftovers i think
I like this Agility/ Weakness Policy set! I run a Metagross w the same combo and its rly great! I got super lucky and found shiny Lunala in the Max Raid Dungeons! I love running it so I might try this set!
@@SplashPlate ay ty response! I was running it w Gravity support and bulky. Throwing off Meteor Mashes at mach speeds! I also ran Psychic bc back in the day, Will O Wisp was running on everything and that usually got surprise KOs! EQ round it off! It was a lot of fun!
