The work offsets function of Mach3 is a very handy tool. It can memorize positions of your table and recall them quickly. This video shows how to use them in a simple quick way.
This is also useful for programming a position for tool changes or other maintenance.

Love the video : I am a daily mach3 user . I know some but it is not my friend. I have a pretty cool screen set the big tex screen might want to check it out. Pretty nice running ATC but in manual tool changing so basically all tools on one file. It would make a pretty good video there is also laser x y position. Big fan thanks for the video and your time.

Have been using My DIY CNC for 18 years and never used or understood offsets, I understand now, but I just do one at a time using a jig so didn’t have a need for offsets. But if I were using multiple jigs I know how to now. VERY good explanation. Could you do a YT on MACHINE COORDINATES? Thanks

Totally new to cnc and mach 3 and been having a hell of a time just getting the machine back to home after running a programme , if i go to machine co ordinates after the programme has run and click on go to zero only the z axis moves . So if i make a part and use G55 as my tool offset can i put G54 at the end of that code to tell the machine to go to home or machine reference zero ?

Hi, great video as I wrote earlier. I haven't got my machine yet so I am just trying to learn Mach3 while I am waiting. I have tried to do exactly the same as you but it goes to the same "0" points all the time??? Can that be because I have no machine connected or...? I would not think so and everything else seems to be working, so what can it be?

When setting up different starting points and running a program; can you have Mock3 switch to a different starting point to start on another program on the opposite side of the machine without having to stop?

I saw one of your videos where you had I think a felt tip marker mounted on the router head where it was offset from the bit. And you went into mach3 and configured a button that would shift the XY zero to that position, then press another button to return to the XY of the bit. I can’t find it again. This method is similar but I would like to have the other one where it would be permanent on my machine. Thanks

Dear sir, I am facing big problem with my Mach3 cnc machine. Here, we face frequent electricity cut off problem. Sometime when electricity cut off, all the X, Y, and Z value in mac3 are changing when restart the machine again. Can not start from the same point where it stopped to work. It wast my expensive wood. I want to start from the same point where it stopped. Is there any solution to solve the problem? Please could you help me to solve the problem?

Hi, I am new to the Mach 3 world, I understand how to create, and use offsets, but how do I save them permanently? When I power off/on, they are always gone. I even hit "save" when I'm done. Great videos, thanks for all the effort you put in!

I have 4 offset values in my gcode program. I selected a corner of my work piece and then 0,0 for G54 offset. I then referenced 3 other locations from G54 on the work piece and then zeroed each one as G55, 56 & 57 offsets. The program runs perfectly. When I exit the code I hit fixture save. When I reload the code the 3 offsets are in the correct location to each other but not the G54 0,0 position. How do I save the offset locations correctly when exiting the program? Thanks, I really loved your demonstration.
