Zain said he saw this video and didnt know some of this stuff and started punishing mango for some of it LOL. SSBM should make a 5 things zain does that no one talks about to make it fair.
I guarantee mango’s noticed just about every major habit of zain’s, when they play each other (well, before this current offseason) he talks very openly about the mixups zain’s going for and even lets out an “oh, he’s got those?” when he falls for something new. mango (especially post-covid mango) is one of the most observant players of all time. and honestly that’s just how far ahead mango has to be to win this matchup against someone as insanely consistent as zain. the fact he got this far without noticing some of these things speaks to how amazing zain is at playing to his/marth’s strengths regardless of the counterplay.

I think a lot of this can be reduced to "Mang0 looks for mixups in almost every interaction where other players often try to craft pre-defined mix-ups or only think of applying a mixup in specific situations".

I think Kira could have explained the falling laser for the noobs instead, as 'full hop falling laser'. We always learnt short hop fast fall laser, and no one ever talks about full hop falling laser...
I started playing fighting games with melee and project M and years later ive played tekken, multiple street fighters, and anime games. Watching this after experiencing other games is beautiful because the top level always shows profound observation and adaptation. Always love watching the masters no matter the game.

i dont think he could have shine-downaired off the side b sdi because you lose your jump when you side b. he would have to shine and then fall to the stage before he could jump.
