How to set a good example: •Miss 1/4 of your entire high school •Cheat on your tests to scrape through •Play videogames nonstop for 20 years •End up earning thousands every month
hey man. i feel where you are coming from. If its any help we all got our own path and i fucking hate how mango thinks he can fulfill himself with smash alone. Im sure youll find something as meaningful as smash is to mango's ego. just gotta give it time and remember everything has its way. live and learn, make the best of what you got. thats what mango did going to a "getto skool." you know, sometimes the story is more important than what happened. You just gotta keep pushin with perspective and shit. fuck man, i wish i knew what to say but seriously dont think that mango is hot shit for not going to skool and playing melee with his little fucking friend. seriously im sure you got something to show for your path and im sure you got something to come. i dont know you. but ive been watching these mango videos probably as much as you. dont buy into the college smash shit being god-like life living. Watch the story time about mango meeting skars dad and he kinda seems like a loser.
+stuwee3 You fucked up somewhere along the line. You do need more than grades in life, but depending on what you do with those straight-As, the grades could be important. Don't put all the blame for your shitty life choices on education, because people with certain aspirations would kill for your grades right now.
I think the funniest things Mango says are the things he doesn't realize are funny "He liked me even though... ya know I never showed up. He just liked me"
Dude even if he did pay attention in school it wouldn't have done much, as an American I learned most of my geography from the internet instead of school. It's kinda sad. Also yes ik I'm responding half a decade late, my bad
i had mango in my spanish class. i remember some football player asked him outloud 'what game do you play? heard you are a pro' 'melee' 'what?!' 'melee, its smash bros for the game cube. its the old one' 'oh ok, whatever' also mangos spanish was ass, he tried to introduce himself saying 'me llamo es mango'
@@hec3521 Oh, I see what you mean. I'm guessing you recently learned about melee players from the EmpLemon documentary because your opinion seems biased towards Hungrybox and against Mang0. He was the best in the world but that was in his era during 2012-2014, now its Hbox who dominates.
And then he saw a death note falling from the sky... If you look at his Death Note today, you'll see "...Fox, fox, fox, jigglypuff, ice climbers, fox, falco, falco, falco, peach, peach...". A melee career worth of names.
the dude claims that he skipped school for 3 months at a time, didn't do homework, slept in class, doubt they would care/believe him if he used that excuse
Mango: Barely graduates high school. Cheats his way into passing. Skips class. Shotguns four lokos with his friends. Universally loved by all Melee fans. Hbox: Graduates high school. Goes to college. Gets a degree in engineering, a very useful field. Very responsible. Still returns to have a career in Melee. Universally hated by Melee community.... Yep... That's life for ya. You can make all the wrong choices and still end up on top, and conversely you can make all the right ones and still be hated for it. LuL
I never said that the two things were connected. I said that one can make right choices in life and still end up on bottom, and one can make wrong choices in life and be one top. If you don't understand that, you should practice gleaming more information based on what you read. My comment was an analysis of what they've done, and where it got them. I no way did I claim to have the answers to why the community thinks the way they do... Idiot. I don't think it worthless to point out that Hbox actually fits the bill of a good role model, and Mango is the guy parents tell you not to be, yet more rabid Melee fans fawn over Mango. Life is a cruel mystery.
August Celine III no need to be hostile, sheesh. I get what you're saying but literally all you're even talking about is their education and the decisions they made in them are neither RIGHT or WRONG. Mango was a bad student and Hbox wasn't, it's as simple as that. One has put in just as much work as the other and got out of it what they put into it. No matter where they stand in the eyes of the melee community, they both are on top and pretty successful in their own way.
Yeah because someone taking your words out of context isn't a reason to bite back at them. Sorry I didn't know I was talking to someone so sensitive. I agree with you that they are both successful in their own way. This was never about their playing ability, and their position in the Melee scene. It was about how Mango is the stereotypical screw up and Hbox is the stereotypical role model, yet people worship the "screw up," and hate on the "good role model." You tried to make it about their playing ability, their practice ethic, and sorry that was never the point I was trying to drive home. I was never attacking Mango, which I think you thought I was doing. I didn't need you to tell me they are both successful in different ways. Pretty sure I knew that when I wrote my first comment...
August Celine III alright guy. first of all yes, it really isn't a reason to bite back at someone. Just simply explain yourself better. Second of all you really do need to explain yourself better in the future cuz it totally does come off as you attacking Mango at first. What ppl think sometimes doesn't completely translate well to what they write, it's a common mistake. And finally I didn't mention anything about their playing ability or practice ethics. All I said is that they are who they are today cuz they both worked to get there.
I feel like Mango is actually really smart and has the potential to do anything, he literally was able to Ace first term of his last year, but instead followed his passion for Melee
I had the pontencial to get a 4.0 gpa, I knew almost everything they taught me and Ididnt felt like I was learning so I starter not giving a shit on sophomore year and not going to school. On my senior year I owed 100+ hours and I had to make up like 7 credits and made them all up on less than 2 months It was an actual challenge that got me interested at the end. Ik was a bad choice but never felt that sense of wanting to learn more that I had. The education system is also one of the reasons things like these happen but it’s not like I got a concrete solution for it
I never heard this story about Mango, though it seems he enjoyed it despite not doing homework and other school stuff on high school. Also there is something I wanna confirm, does Mango goes to collegue or is Melee his full time job?
Even if he went to college they'd probably have him spend a year and a half retaking all of highschool with remedial credits. Probably best to just keep up the Melee plot armor
What an inspirational guy. I teach at a ghetto school and I fucking hate guys like this. Except most don't actually amount to anything, due to the lack of application in life in general
I'm surprised how fucking smart he is when it comes to reading minds and making choices in smash but not smart enough for his responsibilities yet he plot armored everything like a fucking tactician.😂😂 Maaan you made my day Mango
I’ve always disliked how in the United States is considered the idiot out of the Third World Countries when Canada is literally right above them just brimming with Neanderthals. There are two dumbass states in the US; California and Florida, and everyone loves Florida, Florida is like the Mango of the United States.
Reminds me of how in junior year I was failing every single class at the end of the year and on like the last week before finals I just went hard as fuck real quick and fuckin retook every test I could and wrote stacks of papers of assignments I didn’t do and shit and passed literally everything
