I've always thought Best Buy did it best with the PS5 stock with having to wait in line, being randomly selected after a few minutes and then having you verify yourself through a email really quick while they hold your cart for you about 15 minutes.
They should use phone app only, live facial recognition for each entry. Surely not impossible to do and would instantly boot bots, one face one entry.... come on Nike do it already!
They can solve the issue entirely by accepting pre-orders. If customers are allowed to buy up to two pairs per address/card, you've basically killed off resale bots and reselling as a whole.
definitely should be doing more. EQL is a system that’s been really successful. The fact nike hasn’t implemented something like that years ago is crazy.
I agree. I never understood why they don’t do the Icaptcha thing that every site from Ticketmaster to PayPal use where you have to pick pictures out to prove you not a bot. I’m really starting to think Nike likes the resellers and doesn’t wanna make them mad.
the thing about bots and resellers is they still help nike. nike loves shoes to sell out so theres only so much they'll do to really get rid of bots, and i could be wrong but im sure nike is well invested in all these sneaker resell apps, so not only do they sell the shoe once at retail and they make a good chunk of rev when stock x or whoever gives nike their cut of sneaker profits at the end of the year, theres no way nike would allow you to buy a shoe and instantly go on another website to resell and nike doesnt see any profit, its like when music labels own shares of streaming websites so they not only make a cut of when you buy the album or when you stream it, they also make a cut of the rev when spotify makes a profit.

Only if they start losing more market share will they change the game, but I don't see that happening any time soon.
Problem with shock drops is you have apps like sole retriever and RU-vidrs like Jumpman chris that tell you days in advance. The bots still buy up majority of the stock
Nike need to do more to combat the bots. It's messed up and I dont want to spend £300 + for bots and proxies to every few months get a pair of trainers I want to WEAR!

This is part of the reason I do the UA thing. I live in Alaska so there aren’t many places I can physically go to and the sneaker game is kinda scarce up here. I’m not a fan of what the sneaker game has become but this channel is definitely one of the better ones that keeps me in tune. 👌🏾
Alaska is still part of the U.S. and thus the stock is better. Canada has to share stock with other countries like Africa, Australia Middle east among others in a smaller pool.
This isn’t what was said by the SNKRS VP in the interview. It’s 12 billion calls from bots. A call isn’t the same as an entry, the bot will have to make multiple calls on each part of the checkout process to get through and into the next step. 12 billion is wildly inaccurate
Any orders with multiple pairs going to 1 address should be instantly banned. Start doing hardware bans as well. Any IP with BOT hardware just perma ban .
Hubs of some sort with in person pick ups for “high heat”. Yes these would take longer to get your pair cause sizes would need to be allocated but 🤖 can’t go pick up “30 pairs” 😂
So many L’s on SNKRS to the point where you definitely want to just delete the app, but it’s nice to see that they are at least doing something with that new bot removal screen at check out. I actually hit on my first pair of SB dunks after the last 20+ drop entries. It would be dope if they implemented something that you have to manually do at check out like a captcha or answer a prompt to completely eliminate the bot problem.
Nike is not doing enough cuz they like the hype the shoes are getting. They are a billion dollar company and they could easily put in the tech to block every single bot to make it fair for everyone.

In multiple draws Nike have not recognised my entries even when I'm signed into my account. Even though I order regularly from them they still think I'm a bot about a third of the draws. Meanwhile resale websites advertise SNKRS raffle shoes in multiple sizes only minutes after the draws close. Seems their bot protection is a bit off
In all honesty, this might sound corny, but filing complaints and actually speaking to customer service does help, and wouldn’t it actually help if there was a loyalty program for true customers of the brand? I think that can at least help with these issues and eventually get exclusive invites to purchase your sought after pieces

No lies I have only gotten 1 W of a Snkrs Raffle since 2021... and that pair I won turns out after the raffle was over there was the full size run available for purchase, so it seems basically few to none entered the raffle. Got so hyped thinking it was my first official win but nah just nobody entered the raffle, it genuinely baffles me how I cant win shit on Snkrs. I guess it's worth mentioning I got some Ws when Snkrs did a FCFS method and I was able to cop the AJ1 Pollens, Prototypes and AJ4 Red Thunders, but then again it was FCFS and got lucky not a raffle, kinda wished that method would work again. Context I'm from Mexico so I guess Snkrs could work different in other countries.
It all depends on how much the shoes are going for on Stockx. If it's over retail by a bit it's gonna be hard, if it's around retail then it'll be an easy cop. Aj4 Thunders should not be hard to hit a W. Jarritos dunks on the other hand is going to be extremely hard.
I used snkrs app for the first time for the low grey white 11s. Dropped at 10am the order went thru at 12pm. But i canceled it cuz i found them on a diff site. Ill try it again for another drop but i dont like how it sits and says pending. On exclusive drops i dont want to wait a few hours and then if it did say i didnt get them, they would be sold out everwhere else. Kinda silly
I just stopped trying. I get custom kicks now, no fighting bots, always available, multiple colors and materials and I'm sure I have a few 1 0f 1 pairs. Beats taking L after L.
i’ve had a Nike account since 2010 and i’ve had snkrs since it started that being said i believe nike suspects my account to be a bot. i never hit anything and the last hype shoe i even hit was the lightning 4s with exception of the EA i got on the thunders yesterday. it’s really annoying but i feel like i’ll have even worse odds if i make a new account. wouldn’t you think nike would treat someone that has been a member for over 13 years a little differently

Dealt with the same thing when the Xbox series x’s came out. Ended up having to splurge on a bundle version because the resellers didn’t buy em since it cut into profits
I gave up on SNKRS app it sucks haven’t won anything on there for over a year and entered for around 8 SBs during that time and a few Jordan’s. Started using local skate stores last month and when rtj sb came out failed as usual on SNKRS but took a W from two seperate skate stores, one pink high for wife and the low for myself. Screw SNKRS

Tbh i wish nike required ID with each purchase and only let u buy one pair and scanned your ID so u can only get one. That goes for footlocker, finishline, dicks, etc etc
