I tried my first bed like this thanks to a different one of your videos. Thanks. Possible tip: I didn’t have plastic wrap. Instead I cut a gallon size zip lock into the correct shape. It was very sturdy and spread better than plastic wrap.

Great videos man I'm learning a ton. One thing Ive been noticing is how much off-white discs mess with the color scheme. I think that might have skewed the colors more than anything. But like you said, the bed/design were 🔥so it still looks great

You might be right, but esp plastic is usually really good at taking color regardless of the color of the disc itself.

Quick question, I assume white or lighter colored discs are better? Any disc colors to avoid?

Avoid secondary colors. (Green Orange and purple)

What exactly do you put in your dye mixtures? Sometimes when I add colors to my floetrol beds it just falls to the bottom, maybe I'm adding too much hot water when dissolving the dye powder

In my experience it's best to use as little water as possible but just enough to get rid of the powdery dye. Also the squeeze bottles help SO much. At first I was just pouring from cups and it just kept sinking and spreading like you explained.

What Michael said is correct, but there are also colors that sink and you can't do much about it. Teal and Neon purple both come to mind. You can try heating them up before you add them to your bed, or try a bed without a plain floetrol bottom.

Have you found that some colors stop the oil from working properly? I’ve had trouble when I used fluorescent pink

I have not had that issue, and I use fluorescent pink fairly frequently. Any chance the pink had oil in it to start with? That would be a problem if you're trying to do chameleon cells with it

It was a freshly mixed pink but it’s possible another color had oil. I was having good success with the chameleon cells and it just happened to not work the first time I used the pink. Good to know it’s not an issue with that color
