Going direct mount instead of using pickup rings would class up those Harley Benton customs, but they look great as they are. Curious if you’d be better off doing a custom with Thomann or 10S though. It seems like 10S is really trying to make a push for high value customs right now. The finish on your 7 string 10s LP looks amazing, I might have to order something similar from them

And regarding the prototypes... No inlays looks better than block inlays, at least in my opinion... I'd also love to see truss rod adjustment being done at the neck heel, although that would mean binding wouldn't go all around the neck, which might trigger OCD for some people
No Hunter, thank *you*. Your style of riffing and honest reviews are a breath of fresh air and you've come a very long way from the old demos where there was no lead playing whatsoever. It always amazed me at the amount of production value your content has considering it's one guy in his bedroom doing this on his spare him. You get all of the respect and support. To answer your question: yes, that more purple-ish Harley Benton looks fucking fantastic.

That 10S 7 string singlecut with a piezo, with the dual output jacks like the ec-1000p, would be a dream guitar. I'd shell out a grand for it in a heartbeat

Ever since I started working full time my guitar playing skills have gone in the trash. I've recently been trying to set time aside and actually practice. What's your thoughts on kiesel guitars? I bought my first one a few weeks back. A standard vanquish and loved it so much I sold my strat and ltd m-403 to pay for another build. An Osiris it will be my first headless but they are by far the best playing guitars I've ever owned and put my music Man stingray to shame so I was wondering what you think of them and maybe you could demo one sometime I'd love to hear your thoughts on them.
Nice setup man. I really dig the channel. Especially the buy cheap and mod approach on guitars, which I also practice. I advise nabbing a $200 Squire Affinity Jazzmaster. Seriously, just do it. I also sprung for the new Contemporary Jazz, but the Affinity is a no brain-er after a tuner swap, and honestly gets more play. I also have an Agile LP. It's been giving me fits lately, so it's mainly a C standard axe right now. No 335 style axes? Shame. If you ever want one I suggest Ibanez Artcore hands down for under $500. Like I said, I really dig the channel. You got me gassing for a Harley Benton now. lol! Cheers!
Do you allow your music to be shared on other RU-vid videos? If so, how would one go about putting that on our channels? Awesome video hunter !! As for the agile prototypes .. I like the middle one the most .. Kinda interesting the Schecter Solo series style headstocks recessed control knobs, like the more traditional cutaways on them. Im not crazy about those striped wood tops but if they could do them in various ones like burl, quilt, flame or plain I definately could see them selling alot then. :)
I remember when I saw one of those G400 Custom w/Vibrola and I knew I had to have it. Spent some of my Graduation money on it and it became one of my main guitars for years. Wish I would of kept it but it wasnt getting played after I bought my Gibsons

I'm in the market for a humbucker for my Fender Standard Strat for more versatility, but I'm set on Seymour Duncan. Duncan Distortion is probably gonna be the one to go in there.
That green HB is very cool if it had the recessed knobs that would be even cooler. That travel guitar is sick, if the price was right I would get that for sure.
If you did a HB Singlecut Signature with stainless steel frets and a chunky neck, i would buy it in a second, i think the seamfoam green one is the sickest

At one point i owned over 17 guitars. Bought over 20 in total. Then i decided to ask myself which ones were really good and sell the others. Kept 7 guitars. Not the most expensive ones. But the best ones for sure. The ones that sound great even unplugged. Then i decided that i could only buy a new guitar if i sold one. Havent bought a guitar again for the last 10 years. There isn't a guitar in the world that can replace any of my perfect 7. A Mexican 50´s Strat w bare knuckles An American Highway strat w sensors A Korean SG knockoff w duncans A Japanese Burny w Wilde 500xl A Stock Japanese Telecaster A Custom shop Esp George Lynch A LTD Explorer with EMG's I worked for ernie ball, schecter, tried many fenders, custom shop instruments, charvel, signature guitars from all brands. I'm not saying my guitars are better, i'm saying if you try 10 strats, at any price, one will be spectacularly better than the others and that's the instruments you need to buy.

Holy SHIT!!! Those 3 Harley Benton SC's damn i had a small guitgasm.. They look like the sc custom version but better. I hope they change it a little with the better SC550 neck. The sunken knobs look amazing. And both the blue and the purple stripey thingy look amazing. Fishman pickups... Ok i'm drewling now. (yes i am a hb fanboy) Dont know how i feel about the ugly angel on the head stock, hope they change that to a more traditional shapey thingy. And not sure if they should be matching. For the blue one it works, not sure on the purpley ones.
My 2 cents - For new HB SC i'm not sure. I think that you should decide for what customers are you selling a guitar and how many people would like to have them. If it "modern" then you should have something thin bodied like ml2 with (also) non-traditional colors and heavy/hard thin neck wood (like maple) neck and stainless steel frets . If it's for more traditional like buyers then you should put lighter body wood, keep dimensions and shapes closes as possible to original (a top carve also), keep mahogany neck, put ebony or better fingerboard and offer also a thicker neck profile.Stainless steel frets (maybe not jumbo) would do also ok If you offer 2 types of these guitars with decent hardware (that higher priced HB already have) from 350-450 euros, i think that you would be looking at big big potential. Moding it with better hardware is easy then.
So, for Christmas I got a Harley Benton HB-35+ and am so impressed with it I have been kicking around ordering an SC custom. Now, I'm just going to have to wait until those come out, if they sound nearly as good as they look they should be pretty killer and I'm sure, knowing Thomann, will be a crazy value.
If the 10s was under 1000 I would definitely consider it. In a 6 string. However dunno if you can get them in the EU. Also, I suspect the Harley Bentons are your signatures? I would love a blue one. With just one pickup, thanks :D

I've been debating buying one or two Harley Benton kit guitars because they're so cheap (really actually only about $20 less than the finished guitars...) but I also started looking into Buddha pickups, might be sold on those. Price is right and handmade is pretty cool. BTW, those 3 last singlecuts are beautiful.
Hunter, your videos are great, and relatable, so don't be so self-conscious about your set-up. Your bedroom studio and focus on gear that we can actually afford are what set you apart from other RU-vidrs who may have deeper pockets and more sponsors. We watch them for what they do, and I watch you and have become a patron because I like what you do. You take guitar seriously, unlike some of the goofballs who have a million subs, and that's another reason I prefer your channel. I actually picked up a Bill Kelliher signature LTD largely because of your review a couple years ago, and it has become my favorite guitar. So ... thanks. And keep it High Intergrity!

Those new HB single cuts look sick, sort of like their 'high end' fusions, which I didn't really like as the whole suhr/superstrat type doesn't appeal to me. But this time it looks to be in SC shape, and postively mouth-watering. Nice headstocks too, with the wood from the back sort of curving over the front. Can't decide if I prefer the seafoam green or the red/purple woodgrain...

The last three guitars were pretty cool, I've never played a Harley Benton to have a solid opinion but LP/Eclipse shape and Fishman pickups are a solid combination.

I had a Kramer 220 Assault plus for a few days...sadly the action wouldn’t adjust properly per my specs . Lost 45$ on a setup thru a guitar tech as he ran into the same problem with the truss rod. I’d love to had kept it but that issue prevented it. Surprised ya didn’t have a Jackson Monarkh in that mess.
The riff you played on the Epi is my favorite riff you have written thus far. I remember when you debuted it with the Marty Freidman Jackson. So fucking good.
hackintosh... logic works fine with it? im thinking of doing it to save desk space over buying a fucking imac thats just a useless screen hooked up to my gaming monitor
Logic works great, it's Adobe that generally has issues. And there are NVIDIA compatibility issues with the newest version of OS X. I wouldn't recommend it as your primary work rig because it's too unreliable, and there's no official support for it so if there's a problem, you're on your own, but as an audio rig for a hobbyist, it works great and is fun to put together if you're confident with computers.
@@agufish :( i heard sierra 10.4 works with nvidia but im scared.. if I always back up the worst that can come out of it would be a new powerful gaming rig by wiping/installing windows 10 again, but no way am i not trying this out first before i go dip $4k, just for a powerful monitor to sit on my desk 😋 thanks for the response! you are very inspirational
I really don’t remember how I came across you channel but I think it’s great! Your reviews and demos are legit! You’ve actually been a huge help in me deciding what I want in my own gear and guitars. The only major downside for me is very limited options because I’m left handed. Oh and those last three guitars look absolutely amazing! I’d be all over the white/cream colored one.
