@@HamsterBoi try to touch your hamster and feel if he’s cold, if he is I would immediately start warming him up to see if he has another chance, or a little dangerous way splash water on him to see if he reacts to it in any way
@@VictoriaRaechel and I don’t want to check on her because she made big big burrowing and I don’t want to break it so I will wait till she come out from hibernate
As the person who put the last question, I wasn’t expecting such a deep answer! Thank you for answering my question Victoria and helping me not only look after my personal hamster, but also helping my friend with her hamster care, without you, my hamster would not be living in an 900 sq inch cage and have a multi chamber hide out. Just thank you.
It's funny how we all see the same visual clues as to someone's height, and all come to different conclusions. Like you, I was surprised to hear that she's only 5'4"; I thought she was probably 5'8". It might have to do with the proportions between torso and legs. I think we tend to think that "leggy" people are tall, while people with a longer torso are thought to be short.
@@VictoriaRaechel No torso for Victoria, hahahaha! Well, I'd say you got a pretty good deal, proportions-wise. Visually, your long legs, long arms, long hair and slender build all shout "tall" to the viewer. As a relatively short man in a height-obsessed culture, I think 5'4" is pretty much the perfect height for a woman! :-)
Me and my bestie are around the same height at the moment I’m 5’3 and my bestie is 5’1 (we are both still growing we are not short) But for my bestie god was like ‘no torso for her but super long legs’. But for me god was like ‘not super long legs for her but a ridiculously long torso’.
I would like to thank you, Victoria. You showed me good hamster care and helped me treat my hamster with respect and the love that she deserved. Her name was Scooter, and she was a long haired Syrian hamster. She truly was a happy hamster. Unfortunately, she passed recently, but she was getting older. I miss her so much already, but I do not believe this is the end of my hamster journey.
I absolutely agree with your answer and insight for the last question. Growing your fame is flying, and once your up that high, the smallest thing can cause you to fall. There’s a lot that people of the general public to know about fame, and really someone that’s famous is just the same as you and me: in the end, we’re all human and none of us are perfect. Great editing on this video Victoria~ 💕
I wholeheartedly agree with the favorite part about being a pet owner. Seeing my babies happy with something new or just overall seeing them happy is the best feeling. ❤
I have a male syrian hamster and he's super active. I upgraded his enclosure to about 800 square inches today, but he is already trying to escape. I don't really mind tho because hes super adorable and comical and he's really entertaining to watch because he's like ALWAYS ACTIVE.
I'm glad to see that you have cats and bunnies which I love because of their soft fur. I liked the cats the best because of the purr. Now I want to get a hamster but I'm not allowed to have one. I love watching your animals do things. That's part of fun of having pets or seeing someone else's pets
You should give yourself more credit :) While it's true putting people up on a pedestal is always going to create unrealistic expectations and stress, you have helped so many animal lovers improve their pet care drastically, me included! My Hamsters are happy and thriving, and I have you to thank for that. :) So, on behalf of my Hamsters Cinnamon and Snowball, thank you!
I appreciate your knowledge. This May my family decided to get a hamster. When I was researching what would give our pet it's best life, I came across your channel. My daughter and I enjoy watching your videos and learning new things. Thanks for putting yourself out there.
Thank you for answering my question. My dwarf loves anything new in his cage to. I love it because he uses everything I buy so it's not a complete waste of money. He is the best. It also makes me happy knowing I'm caring for him to the best of my ability. ☺️
You're probably 1-2 years younger than me but I reference your channel for all my pet care!! Thank you for Enlightening me to Enrichment for our Hamster Lex ❤️
I am so glad I got an easy-to-please male Syrian, he has never shown any stress behavior, despite only being in a 40 gallon breeder tank. I am so glad I did my research before getting a hamster, I love seeing him thrive and his silly behaviors when figuring out puzzle toys, thank you Victoria (and Erin & Munchie) for all your information that you put out!
You definitely need to get a bigger home for your hamster. Try buying large plastic bins and connecting them with pvc tunnels. Your hamster is probably depressed and that's why he seems east going.
With my past hamster he was in a 40 gallon tank with a lot of bedding, hides, and toys. I though he was an easy to please hamster and I thought he was thriving but he died at 1.7 years old. I agree with what the person above me said, definitely upgrade his cage just to be sure :)
I had a few girl syrian hamsters….one named penny and other named apple…..they are now dead….i got pen (that was her nickname) in 2019 and apple in 2020 I miss them……im hoping we will get another one soon
Hey Victoria, my hamster just died in my hands this morning. She was 2,5 years old. I just wanted to thank you. Because of you she got to live in a huge enclosure where she got all the care she could need and more. So thank you❤️
Thank you so much for all your videos Victoria! You know so much about hamsters! You inspired me to get a Syrian and I love her! Her name is TwitchTip and is named after the rat from the Gregor the Overlander book series. She started to take food from my hands and legs me pet her! I just wanted to let you know your videos are very impactful and help a bunch of people (including me and my friend Blake who has a male Syrian named Gismo and loves your videos too) so please keep making them! Thank you!
Omg I thought you were 5’6-8 lol I was shocked when you said you were 5’4! It honestly made me feel better about being 4’11 haha (even though i’m still 12 😅)
26 hamsters! wow! and this video was 2 years old! so you've probably had like 30 now. i have had 5 hamsters, and they were all syrian hamsters. Donut, Krispy Kreme (KK), Bear, and then Mason and Chewy are my current hamsters. I love your channel! I have been upgrading as best I can with my hamsters' supplies. Thank you!!
Hi Victoria I hope you are well today, love the video as always. Victoria you have had a lot of hamsters 🐹. All your pets are very lucky to have you as its owner 😊 ☺
Don't doubt yourself. I just want to say you ARE amazing and you give your pets the best care and they are very happy. If it wasn't for u my hammy would be so stressed.
My mom owns a lot of snake plants. In Indonesia we call it "Lidah Mertua" which stands for "mother in law's tongue" lol. Kinda weird actually and I agree on how easily they to be taken care of. Unlike another plants, they doesnt need "lot" of attention like another complex plants. They also beautiful plants. ❤️❤️❤️
Hahaha! That’s what we call them in the U.S. (Mother in law tongues) My aunt said it’s because a mother in law is loud , opinionated and always use those long tongues to air out grievances 🤪😅😂😂
@@aciewha7702 OMG YES! That exactly the reason in Indonesia too 😂😂 I once joked around "then how father's in law plants look like?" and my mom hit my head with her wallet 😭😂
Hi Victoria! I’ve been watching you for years and you’ve made my robos life amazing! I have a problem. I have a cousin who has a hammy and it lives in a tiny tales, no wheel, no toys and barely any bedding. It also can’t walk right. I don’t know how to tell her or what to do. I told her she should watch your channel. I just feel so bad for this hamster. What should I do?
If you can recognise that everyone make mistakes and own up and say you have, even if you don’t think your the best person in the world, it shows that you an amazing person :)
Wow! You really have owned quite a number of hamsters! You have such an amazing love for animals and your kindness will always have a way of coming back to you! :)
Awww, this video was amazing, some parts were funny! I love ur pets soooo much, cuz they’re soo cute. And even if U think u r not the best person, I think u r such a kind and caring and loving person! And I just love the way you are!
i love seeing your Q&As!! and wow so many hamsters, idk how you remember all their names😩. you inspire and help so many people and we’re all so thankful for that. you’re amazing tori thank you so much❤️❤️
Victoria, i love your videos & i love your attitude/ personality. It was very eye opening for me to hear you talk about being put on a pedestal. I do consider you a hamster guru but I respect the fact that you are a human just like everyone else & are free to make mistakes. We learn & grow as a result of our mistakes :)
That’s is really nice of you. I cannot count how many hamsters that you named. I owned 3 and currently have two, a dwarf and a syrian. They are both so adorable. This will not stop, hamsters are one of the cutest pocket animal to be ❤️
I studied basic cat basics in my country, the netherlands, and have finished that degree. If you want a lot of cats it is highly recommend to get a maximum of 3 cats per household. When you have 3+ cats in your household you get two or more different social cat groups in your home which means a few cats interect with eachother and like one another but other cats do not. This can be a problem for the social en behavioral situations in your home. So 3 max is highly recommeded. But of course look at your cat. If your cat is a solitary type of cat do not get more. That is the tip I wanna give people and you for when you want another cat in the future. Love this video to get to know you better. You are my favorite youtuber because you love pets as much as I do.
I have never been so happy to receive a notification before. Just finished studying! Thank you for teaching me proper hamster care so my hamster can live it’s best life with me!
I love seeing someone love the Birds of Paradise plant, because where I live people love it or absolutely loathe it. Because I live in the tropics, they grow extremely well here and are notoriously hard to remove from your landscaping if they’ve had a few years to lay claim. I’ve even seen the plants grow as tall as a house if unkept and allowed to grow as it will.
I really agree with what you were saying about RU-vidrs on pedistools it's not okay and can be very unhealthy. I do however want to thank you for putting all your hard work and research out on the internet. I had no idea how complex and amazing hamsters really were and how thankful I am to be able to learn from you and become a better hamster owner by watching you and a few other hamster owners on RU-vid
I just got my third hamster one Sunday, I named her Nova and she was such a cutie! Nova had tons of energy and loves burrowing and running on her wheel. Yesterday, she passed away. We think she was approximately 11 weeks, she wasn’t as big as my first Syrian yet, (they were both Syrians) she went into torpor and we tried to warm her up, I kept her in a cage in my room that night, and she was looking so much better! I really thought she might be ok, but while I was at school yesterday she passed away. We couldn’t do anything to help her 🥺❤️ I miss you so much Nova. I’m sorry you couldn’t have a great life
I absolutely love this video. The ending was heartwarming to hear but you do such a great job of the responsibilities you have. I've never heard any youtuber or someone who is in the medias eye word how it can feel and that it can be difficult.
I’m so glad i found your channel. I wanted a hamster and my mom said yes. We got a syrian from the pet store and I named him Biscuit. I got him a tiny little cage and such low quality food and then I came across your channel and me and my mom started watching your channel. We followed your bin cage tutorial and my hamster lived a happy life. Biscuit sadly die not too long ago at age 2 years.
