Shin Bomirae totally sacrificed herself since her team has mentioned that none of them are strong enough for this game. So she volunteered for this. Thought it was touching honestly
Sik also sacrificed for Sung-bin so he could make it to the end cause he lost the draw and was supposed to do it. It's awesome how respectful everyone is of each other.
shes not the only one theres also that dude from sungbin’s team and sungbin almost decided to do the boulder quest but this guy chose to do this quest for him because he personally knows him and is part of the skeleton team with him so he’s also there and apparently he held hold his own so well against the car dealer guy for 2 hours
Seriously 2hrs? I haven't watched this show. This is my first time hearing about this show. Don't even know what the show is about. 2hrs WOW. It's like strong man competition
I think maybe she was hoping the weight of the stone would be based on their weight. That's only way she could win. But to be honest, all of those were extremely hard for any woman to win
@@BAngel-nm7xq No, the one where you had to push the stone up and down this ramp it was 100 kg, when it was lifting the stone I'm pretty certain they didn't mention any weight, it was not same stone
i couldn’t believe when they showed the 2hr mark on the timer, my mind was completely blown, it’s hard to hold your arms up for 5 minutes without even holding anything but TWO HOURS?! and with such a heavy object 😭😭 they are truly built different
yeah i know the cardealer guy is very strong but WHO’S THAT OTHER GUY AND HOW IS HE SO STRONG? ik he’s part of the skeleton team with sungbin but thats crazy how he’s in the same level of strength as that car dealer guy
I like that we all generally agree that Shin Bo mi rae was a sacrifice for her team. I don't know her specialty, but we can all appreciate kindness like that.
This show has been really great to watch - great characters, evryone is so supportive and talented. The editing allows you to appreciate all the games and contestants properly with no crazy foreshadowing of who's going to make it to the end (apart from iron man but who knows?!). Barely seen any "story" from some of the finalists which is cool. Hope we get a season 2
Americana needs to stop putting out these beta boy's this is what we're up against. Not only are these guy's physically strong they're mentally strong.
@@Hmonks yeah but she means in terms of work ethic and advancements. Not military alliance. South Koreans work the most hours compared to any other nation. Were also the most innovative and technologically advanced country in the world as well as number 1 in herbal medicine research. But at the cost of highest suicide rates, super competitive, highest alcoholism.
@@1111111111202 but we have the best drunk games and alcohol party/food cultures. I was actually disappointed when i went overseas and went for drinks. Dont even make me start on wine and cheese... made me feel like an elderly
The rolling boulder was 100kg, this one the bodybuilder said it felt like 50kg, which is still outrageous. I think most people couldn't even hold a beachball on their shoulders for 2 hours. edit: spelling
Lol. I thought they were carrying 100 kgs boulder and I wouldn't believe it. Good thing it's only about 50kg which is doable for an hour or two. Props to them for lasting 2 hrs.
18 years~28 years Man, Average height S, KOREA - 5 feet 9 (177cm), CHINA - 5 feet 3 inch (165cm), JAPAN - 5 feet 4.5 inch (165.5cm), Thailand,Vietnam Etc. Southeast Asia - 5 feet 2.5 inch (159.5cm) I think, One of the reasons that popular korea wave in Asia... The height is higher and large body and Cool~.
I like how the thumbnail says “over 100kg” but then it’s actually 50kg IF that. I was like there’s no way in hell they’re manipulating 220lbs that easily and having that pressure on their necks
I love how people were so amused by this show being like it showed real friendly competition and even though everyone was competing against each other they still rooting and cheered everyone one. Idk why people are so shocked about that, to me it’s just being a nice person.
Kim Kang Min had an interview with one of the contestant the pink hair girl which is one of the ones that survived and came back to compete. He said that during this quest he was hungry and he couldn't sleep the night before. He said that that happened to him before when he was training or the day before he is going to compete for body building. He also said that during the 2hr wait he left to go eat some food lol. I was rooting for him on this quest but it is true of what he said that his muscles are too big where he can't even rest the Boulder anywhere like the other two dudes.
@@colonel_bootycakes yeah they were all way too close together, that was making me nervous. To be fair though, they booted her after she and the bodybuilder bumped together and she got knocked over which seemed a bit unfair for her.
@@stephencooper7459 Yes! Even the person who won the unending track race is an underdog! guess the true strength of athletes is shown in these challenges!
@@alfred4407 Have you ever tried lifting an object with bad balance overhead? 100 kg is doable if it were on a barbell because it has good balance. Maybe even if it was a sack/log/sandbag. On a boulder like this? No way you will be able to hold it for 30 mins, let alone 2 hours.
@@spwnker8550 i tried Lifting 40 50kg Atlas Stone in my past and I'm pretty sure I can pick it up but i don't know about holding it for an hour but I'm pretty sure that j can keep that on me for like 30 40 mins.
It’s still effective in the real world 😂. Did you even see who he was competing against? An average person can’t even hold their hand up for 15 minutes without feeling pain let alone lifting a boulder weighing 50kg. Just because he can’t compete against literally inhuman strength doesn’t mean he can’t utilize his muscles in the real world. The guy is top 20 ffs.
For those who are searching for the music at 2:03 and at the Episode on Netflix at 5:40 - the name of the song is: Game Master · Kenneth E. Belcher cheers
You can work out and look great with bodybuilding but at the end of the day that can only do so much. We have three types of bodies, Endomorph, Ectomorph and Mesomorph. Depending on what one you are, is what you can do. Ether you fast, a bit of both or strong. You can't be all.
Netflix baited us.. It's not 100kg. It's 100 pounds.. I can pickup a 100-lb dumbbell with 1 hand, not very heavy for those big guys for sure. Just imagine lifting a skinny teenager weighing 55 kilograms.. Still impressive that they made it to 2 hours. Superhuman stamina!
I heard the bodybuilder say 50kg. That would be 110lbs. It would make sense because 100kg or 220lbs is impossible to get over. Strongmen in lifting stones at 220lbs is almost impossible.
I get tired at having to just stand for more than 10 minutes. 😂 All these guys are amazing. And it took a lot of guts for Shin to volunteer for this challenge and keep on trying
This reminds me of that time one of my coworkers at a construction site picked up 2 sack of cements and walk with it on his shoulder, like what I found really impressive is that a sack of cement is 42kg and it doesn't have any thing to grab on too, it's a smooth sack, and he picked up 2 of them, that's the equivalent of picking up a 84kg ball, you got to hug it to pick it up, you have no ends to grab
I always had to grab them on the sides in the middle then put them on my shoulder...had a coworker carrying two a pretty good distance across a muddy field, I thought carrying one sucked.
It's very simple everyone. The big guy had a lot of muscles and he was using his muscles as well as not balancing the load directly above his spine if he had done it the way the other 2 had he would have lasted much longer. It doesn't matter how much the weight is as long as it is a balanced on your Spine evenly distributed into your pekvis and then evenly distributed into both legs and feet. This is how you are able to do this very easily for a long period of time in this case his shape and lack of knowledge of basic physics made him. Lose the weight much faster than his 2 competitors who simply balanced it.
My sexyama, although oldest, did his best no matter what. I’m rooting for his team in the boat mission. We don’t know who will win the rolling rock one, but so far, 4/5 of the finalists are from sexyama/jo jinhyung’s team
@@Rqblt lol that is literally what he is known as the most in the world. The contestants even called him sexyama during the event. Go watch his last fight and listen to the commentators at the end... SEXXXXXXYAMAAAA SEXXXYAMAAA SEXYAAAMAAAAAAAAA
does anyone know the soundtrack that played when Sun-Ho was struggling before he lost in the boulder rolling game? It was such a dramatic, sad, and beautiful piece of music!
It wasn’t a 100 kg. The people lifting it said it themselves in the episode that it felt closer to something like 50 to 75 kg. Holding 100 kg for over an hour would be pretty much impossible.
I love love love this show! As a female I could almost get upset that it isn't fair, but I really like how the playing field is even for the most part. A strong woman is no match for a strong guy. Period. Body composition is different inside and out. However, I love that women are to try. But I wonder how does this look in the trans argument of natural born men competing in women's sports? It's clear that this shouldn't be. But only in America do we allow such craziness. I understand wanting to compete, but then they must compete against other trans individuals. A man's strength outweighs a woman's.
Yes I think they made the games fair so that strength was not the only component in winning. Most of the women chose rope climbing or speed related games to win
If I am that lady. I will do a back squat to bring the ball/rock up (holding the ropes by the back) Easy said then done 😅. But that’s the only option if you are unable to hoist the ball/rock up.
I am not a Olympic lifter but I think the boxer was strong enough, it was more a question of technique. She just wasn’t able to put herself under the weight which I blame on its unwieldy size rather than her.
Agree. I thought the same thing. It looked more like she couldn't maneuver the rock over her because it's just too big for her. But if she was given a rock with the same weight but proportionate to her size, I have no doubt she could lift it longer than the roided dude.
@@jeraldvincentzumel5300 Not sure about that, her smaller body means that there is lesser surface area on her back and shoulders for the rock to rest on, the pressure on her would have been higher than any of the other contestants
I’m sure they didn’t mention the actual weight. The 100kg rock was in the Sisyphus challenge. In the atlas challenge they just called it a heavy rock. Would be pretty insane to lift 100kg for 2 hours.
These are professional athletes that have risked and are risking their bodies to become the best. Any sport out there does long term damage as you age, but has that stopped people from doing it?
My favourite guy won in the Punishment of Atlas challenge🥺. But Kim Sik is truly commendable. My cutiepie won the rope challenge and dude is so freaking fit!! I will trust him with my life, heck I might just climb a mountain so he can save me xD. The Jin-yung guy was unexpectedly so fast,I wish Netflix highlighted him more too. Even the guy who won the fourth challenge was amazing ,I wish he was highlighted from before too. 5th Challenge I am supporting Hae-min so much,he wasn't highlighted at alll too 😭😭. But full support for Hae-min. (Okay since Hae-min didn't get much screen time or info out,I found his only online presence in a vide- he is really a sweetheart ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ctmF0jlYnRc.html ) (warning you might cry like a little baby) Anyway Netflix thank you for this amazing show, all the contestant are amazing,my respect for Sexy Yama just went through the roof ❤️,I really hope you highlight each and every person from top 20 next season. But thank you for creating this wonderful challenge ,I know alot of people are going to gym and taking care of their bodies because of this and it shows the influence of media in the thoughts of people and how it can change the world. I hope we can move from the now beauty standard to the standard of being strong and healthy 🥺❤️🗿
It seemed to me like she could hold it, and idk if they were allowed to hold it before they started, but if she had a second to practice beforehand or something to hold it against i believe she could have gotten it over her head and propped in on her shoulder or something like they did. I didn't think she could do it nearly as long as they did but seeing her try after being eliminated you could tell she wasn't trying as hard as she was before they started.
Kang-min was out quick and was sweating bullets here and in the boat challenge. His strong legs were also shaking almost like his muscles are hollow and just for show. Maybe a side effect of doping. He is strong but has no endurance, which won't work here. Atlas was the titan God of endurance.
The big muscular body builder didn't last as long. I'm very impressed seeing how long these two guys lasted. You can be very strong in different kind of ways.
Porters and stone masons building the Barcelona Cathedral of the Sea carries a lot more heavier and pointy stones than those while some being malnutrition.
