A list of all the words that Scott made up in this video: 0:31 Lgieay 1:17 Leagle 1:48 Gello 1:53 Gile 2:03 Iglo 2:40 Lile 2:47 Lilly 3:12 Legy 3:17 Leige 4:42 Yelly 4:52 Gayl 8:24 Gayo 8:30 Galy
Right, the word definitions is a real nice touch that just shows how much the developer actually is passionate about the subject matter. Being a non native speaker I actually learn quite a bit.
@@squaredle-game Dude you are awesome, your game is awesome, I play it every day religiously. The coolest ones are the huge puzzles, it took me a few months but I recently finished the 10x10, it's insane. I have been trying to get Scott to do it.
Oh dude, you gotta do today's (26/06) it was like a special Pride one or something, it was probably the hardest daily I've ever seen. Managed it in the nick of time.
To reply to your comment about noticing which L's had numbers on them for determining which letters are more likely ... and I'm not sure there's a logic to it. "LEGALLY" has 4 valid starting positions in this puzzle ... and I know I've seen similar situations on other puzzles where I submit a word and the number goes down on a different copy of the letter i started with ... so I dunno what makes them choose which, other than it being arbitrary.
It basically just chooses wichever letter that can make the word, that is the most top-left(earliest in reading order). That means that if a word starts with a letter, and that letter is not the most top-left, it can not be made with same letters that are more top-left.
If you're up for a longer video, today's (sunday's) Squaredle was also very interesting, not to mention very very hard. Actually, come to think of it, Saturday's Squaredle was again very interesting, and a lot less difficult than Sunday's one.
Right, it was hard as hell!! And what kills me is that afterwards when you do find the words they are the most mundane ones you could think of. It would really be cool to see Scott try it. It took me like 3 sittings haha.
This one I finally broke and used a reveal (which I hadn't in a long time) and the word it gave me was so obvious I almost banged my head against the wall hahaha
@@Chadner Haha, I used all 6 reveals to finish the Sunday one. Mainly to try and get as many letters as possible off of the board, to reduce options and such. This might be partially due to me being a non-native-English-speaker though. And yes, apart from 1 all of the other 5 reveals were words I feel I should have been able to get on my own. :`(( It did really help that I'm quite familiar with the Bonus Word of the Day (both in its original setting, but I am a Computer Scientist by trade and it comes up in CS too), getting me to 6 reveal offers relatively early in the solve.
