Here is an inexpensive way to save all sizes of the pattern. Cut the largest size out first. Then trace the cut pattern onto a paper bag that you have opened and pressed flat. Repeat with each of the smaller sizes. Thanks so much for this tutorial!

Super cute dresses, Michelle! I think the UK ambassador Jacqui also collects shorts for little boys so perhaps people can check with their local ambassadors to see whether shorts would be accepted as well. It probably depends on the organisations they are working with the distribute the clothes - the ones donated in the UK are sent to Uganda. Such a special project to be part of. I'm hopinh to sew up most of my dresses next week.

Michelle you are amazing!!!! I will be adding coordinating T-shirts and shorts with my more sheer dresses (Mari had shown that last years makes sewers had done). Next year I will line them. Thank you for letting us know if not dresses are unusable

Hi Stephanie, the sleeves are gaping because it is a Dolman sleeve. If you set in the sleeve, the fit is closer because the seam allows for movement. Good luck with your sewing journey.

What I struggle with is figuring out how far down to place pockets and how far in from the sides....do you have a formula for that? Love all your dresses-so adorable!❤

Great question! I learned this from Mari - I take half the distance between the neckline and the hemline and that's the horizontal line where I place the TOP of the pocket. Then I usually go in about an inch or two from the center line for the vertical placement. Does that help?

Oh thanks for asking - I should have explained that in the video. I just slipped it in between when I was sewing the top side of the yoke, so I caught it up in the topstitching. I hope that makes sense?

I’m planning to sew some dresses. Do you prewash your fabrics? I’m thinking of the dyes in the fabric and thinking it’s best to prewash them, but haven’t heard anything about this.
